Jung Woo Sung, Jung Sung Il, And Wi Ha Joon Confirmed To Star In New Action Historical Film
A hard-boiled action historical film is officially on the way!
The production team of the upcoming film “Sal Saeng Bu” (literal title) officially confirmed the movie’s production and announced the casting of Jung Woo Sung, Jung Sung Il, and Wi Ha Joon. Although Bae Sung Woo was previously reported to be part of the lineup, his name was absent from the official press release.
“Sal Saeng Bu” refers to a “kill list” document written by Han Myeong Hoe during the Gyeyu Purge, the coup led by Grand Prince Suyang. In order to eliminate political rivals, Han Myeong Hoe categorized officials based on their past actions and the possibility of recruiting them, determining who would live and who would die.
Based on the webtoon of the same name, “Sal Saeng Bu” is a hard-boiled action historical film that follows a girl named Lee Hwa, who loses everything during the Gyeyu Purge and sets out on a path of revenge to kill Han Myeong Hoe, the strategist who created the “kill list.”
Jung Woo Sung will star as the ruthless strategist Han Myeong Hoe, who orchestrates the bloody purge and personally drafts the kill list. Jung Sung Il will play Ban Seok, a member of the secret organization Hwajeopmong, which was formed to assassinate Han Myeong Hoe and the officials involved in the rebellion. Meanwhile, Wi Ha Joon will make a special appearance as Prince Suyang, a fiercely ambitious royal convinced that he is destined to claim the throne.
Meanwhile, casting is currently underway for Lee Hwa—the young woman who chooses the path of a night demon in pursuit of revenge against Han Myeong Hoe—as well as the five female members of the assassin group Hwajeopmong.
The film will be directed by Kim Hong Sun, known for “Project Wolf Hunting” and Season 3 of “Gangs of London.”
“The Kill List” is currently in pre-production with the goal of beginning filming within the year after finalizing the remaining cast lineup in the first half of 2026.

“We Are All Trying Here” Shares Heartfelt Message About Finding Value In Simply Existing In Special Ending Poster
As JTBC’s “We Are All Trying Here” has come to an end, the drama has unveiled a special new film poster!
“We Are All Trying Here” tells the story of Hwang Dong Man (Koo Kyo Hwan), an aspiring film director who, surrounded by successful friends, believes he is the only one whose life isn’t working out. Consumed by anguish, envy, and jealousy, he sets out on a journey in search of peace.
On May 25, the drama’s production team released a special film poster capturing the emotions and message of the series.
The newly unveiled poster portrays the lives of characters who each battled feelings of worthlessness, presenting their stories like scenes from a film reel. Even amid the emptiness of life, the traces of people declaring “I exist” leave behind a quiet yet powerful resonance, once again highlighting the drama’s central message.
Through its emotional storytelling and striking cinematography, the series depicted people searching for comfort and stability despite living with depression and anxiety.
The drama especially resonated with viewers through its honest portrayal of emotions many people carry but rarely speak about—such as anxiety, jealousy, and shame that persist even after achieving success.
“We Are All Trying Here” questioned a society where people constantly feel pressured to prove their worth. The series delivered the heartfelt message that people do not need extraordinary achievements to have value—their existence alone is enough.
It also offered warmth and comfort by suggesting that lives which may feel tragic up close can eventually become something people are able to laugh about.
Above all, the drama emphasized the power of solidarity through the shared realization that “I’m not the only one struggling.” By showing how people find strength in embracing each other’s loneliness and imperfections, the series left viewers with a deep and lasting impression.

Watch: Yu Jae Seok, Lee Kwang Soo, Byeon Woo Seok, And Ji Ye Eun Barely Keep Up With Endless Chaos In “Jae Seok’s B&B Rules!”
“Jae Seok’s B&B Rules!” has unveiled a fun new introduction video spotlighting its four chaotic staff members!
“Jae Seok’s B&B Rules!” follows Yu Jae Seok as he takes on the challenge of running a bed-and-breakfast for the very first time. Joined by Lee Kwang Soo, Byeon Woo Seok, and Ji Ye Eun as staff members, they welcome guests and create memorable moments filled with laughter, chaos, and heartfelt warmth.
In the newly released video, Yu Jae Seok is introduced as a “Netflix veteran” but a “complete rookie when it comes to camping.” As the first-time boss of the campsite, he is constantly running around, earning the title of the camp’s ultimate busybody. Clips of him groaning, “I can’t do this anymore,” and “This is so chaotic,” hilariously foreshadow the hectic reality awaiting the team.
Lee Kwang Soo is introduced as the B&B’s head chef, but the teaser quickly casts doubt on his culinary expertise when he is caught secretly sprinkling mysterious ingredients—presumably MSG—into his cooking. True to form, he also keeps everyone entertained with his signature witty banter and even breaks out his iconic “mosquito dance.”
Meanwhile, Byeon Woo Seok is described as the team’s source of “healing energy,” though the teaser also labels him “gentle but hopelessly clumsy.” One hilarious scene shows him completely failing at chopping firewood, while the show also dubs him the team’s “official crybaby,” raising curiosity about what emotional moments might bring him to tears.
As the youngest member of the team, Ji Ye Eun effortlessly charms guests with her lovable and easygoing personality. Introduced as the camp’s mood-maker, she also proves herself to be impressively quick and capable, smoothly handling tasks around the campsite thanks to her previous experience in a similar role on “Kian’s Bizarre B&B.”
The teaser wraps up with all four members overwhelmed by their endless workload and lack of time. “We don’t even have time to make lunch,” Lee Kwang Soo complains, while Byeon Woo Seok adds, “We still need to go grocery shopping.” Ji Ye Eun jokingly protests, “So we’re not even allowed one iced latte?” before Yu Jae Seok sends everyone into laughter by declaring, “Let’s just go without brushing our teeth.” The teaser ends with the exhausted team burying their heads in frustration and screaming, perfectly previewing the nonstop chaos awaiting viewers.
Check out the teaser below!
“Jae Seok’s B&B Rules!” is set to premiere on May 26.

Watch: Shin Ha Kyun, Oh Jung Se, And Heo Sung Tae Bring Intense Action To Life In “Fifties Professionals” Making-Of Video
MBC’s “Fifties Professionals” has shared a new making-of video!
“Fifties Professionals” is an action-comedy about three seemingly ordinary but secretly dangerous middle-aged men who are brought back into action by destiny. The three men, who once reigned at the top of their respective fields, find themselves exiled to the remote island of Yeongseon after a mysterious incident. There, they begin a bittersweet and comedic quest to uncover the truth about the fateful day from 10 years ago that changed their lives.
The newly released making-of clip captures the cast’s focus and teamwork on set, particularly during the drama’s action-heavy sequences.
Shin Ha Kyun is seen meticulously rehearsing his choreography during individual action shoots. Even after filming his scenes, he immediately checks on the condition of fellow actors before returning to practice his movements again.
Meanwhile, Oh Jung Se works closely with the director to fine-tune the details of his character’s movements. From timidly opening a door to awkwardly getting caught by the foot and falling, he carefully syncs each action beat to his character’s personality. In contrast to his clumsy on-screen persona, he also impresses on set by quickly mastering the stunt team’s choreography and executing the action sequences with ease during rehearsals.
Heo Sung Tae brings a lighter energy to the set, focusing on comedic ad-libs alongside co-star Lee Hak Joo.
The video also showcases the cast filming large-scale action scenes in the rain. Between takes, the three actors remain deeply focused, constantly discussing choreography, throwing themselves fully into the physical performances, and rehearsing with intensity.

Park Hae Soo And Lee Hee Joon Reunite After 30 Years In “The Scarecrow”
“The Scarecrow” has shared new stills ahead of its upcoming episode!
“The Scarecrow” follows a detective investigating a series of murders who is forced into an unlikely partnership with a man he despises. Set between 1988 and 2019, the suspenseful story tracks two men bound by misfortune and an uneasy alliance of hatred as they chase the truth across 30 years.
Spoilers
Previously in the drama, Kang Tae Joo (Park Hae Soo) learned through Park Dae Ho (Ryu Hae Jun) that Cha Si Young (Lee Hee Joon) and other detectives had concealed the body of Yoon Hye Jin (Lee Ah Rin). While pursuing the whereabouts of the body, Kang Tae Joo ended up being buried alive by Cha Si Young at the end of the previous episode. In addition, despite Seo Ji Won (Kwak Sun Young)’s best efforts, Im Seok Man (Baek Seung Hwan) was sentenced to life imprisonment at the final trial of the 7th case. In the end, the truth was revealed by Lee Yong Woo (Jung Moon Sung), the real culprit behind the serial murder cases who got caught after 30 years.
The released stills hint at new developments in the story. The first image depicts a reunion between Kang Tae Joo and Cha Si Young in the present day. Cha Si Young is seen wearing a golden badge indicating that he is a member of the National Assembly. He appears highly alert upon hearing that the real serial murder culprit has been caught. Attention is focused on who will emerge as the winner in this 30-year-long battle over the truth.
Another set of photos draws attention with the appearance of a familiar face, Cha Young Beom (Song Geon Hee). Cha Young Beom is an intern reporter investigating the serial murder case, which has resurfaced following the confession of the real culprit. Expectations are high for Song Geon Hee’s dual role, from Lee Ki Beom, who died 30 years ago from the aftereffects of torture after being framed, to a young reporter chasing the truth.
The production team stated, “From Episode 11 onward, the present day of 2019 will serve as the backdrop, and the hidden truths of the incidents from 30 years ago will resurface again.” They added, “The changes in relationships between characters who meet again after a long time will also be an important point to watch.”
The next episode of “The Scarecrow” will air on May 25 at 10 p.m. KST.

Seo In Guk Transforms Into A Stoic Boss In New Drama “See You At Work Tomorrow!”
tvN’s upcoming drama “See You at Work Tomorrow!” has unveiled new stills of Seo In Guk in character!
Based on the hit webtoon of the same name, “See You at Work Tomorrow!” is a romance drama starring Park Ji Hyun as Cha Ji Yoon, an office worker stuck in a career rut. After becoming entangled with her prickly boss Kang Si Woo (Seo In Guk), she winds up making a fresh start both in her career and in her love life.
Kang Si Woo is a character who values principles and efficiency above everything else. Known as the “3 NOs Man,” he never smiles (NO Smile), avoids people (NO People), and rarely apologizes (NO Sorry). At the company, he is seen as someone difficult to approach.
In the newly released stills, Kang Si Woo stands out in a neat suit with a composed demeanor. His emotionless focus on work shows a strict, by-the-book boss.
In another still, Kang Si Woo’s calm and careful personality is evident as he reviews work materials.
He also maintains clear emotional distance even when he is with employees, creating a cold atmosphere.
It remains to be seen what kind of emotional changes Kang Si Woo, who is more used to work than to people, will experience when he meets Cha Ji Yoon.
“See You at Work Tomorrow!” will premiere on June 22 at 8:50 p.m. KST, taking over the time slot currently occupied by “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier.”

Park Ji Hoon Seeks Jin Goo’s Help To Save His Mother’s Food Truck Business In “The Legend Of Kitchen Soldier”
tvN’s “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier” has shared new stills ahead of its upcoming episode!
Based on a popular web novel and webtoon, “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier” is a military fantasy-comedy drama that tells the story of army cook Kang Sung Jae (Park Ji Hoon). When a mysterious quest window pops up in front of him one day, Private Kang Sung Jae begins an unexpected journey that will lead him down the path toward becoming a legendary cook.
Spoilers
In the upcoming episode, Kang Sung Jae leaves Gangrim Outpost and returns home to his family for the first time in a while. He begins a special mission to revive his mother Gong Su Yeon (Seo Jung Yeon’s) struggling food truck business.
So far, Kang Sung Jae has led an extraordinary military life since being assigned to Gangrim Outpost. Guided by Guardian, he embarked on the “path of a chef,” receiving various skills and recipes that revolutionized the outpost’s food menu.
Kang Sung Jae transformed the hellish meals caused by Sergeant Yoon Dong Hyun (Lee Hong Nae), who had no sense of taste, into heavenly dishes that greatly satisfied the soldiers. His reputation has continued to rise after impressing not only high-ranking officials and lawmakers who suddenly visited Gangrim Outpost, but even North Korean civilians with his cooking.
The newly released photos capture Kang Sung Jae reuniting with his mother while on military leave. Saluting her confidently, he chats with a much more relaxed expression on his face. His warm and charming demeanor around his mother is a complete contrast to his image as the ace cook soldier of Gangrim Outpost.
However, the heartwarming family moment is short-lived, as Sung Jae soon finds himself shocked by an unexpected situation. Instead of customers, his mother’s food truck is completely empty, with only flies buzzing around.
As a result, Kang Sung Jae, already recognized as the best cook at Gangrim Outpost, not only personally tastes his mother’s cooking to identify the problem, but also struggles to recover the secret recipe for the tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) his father used to make. He plans to seek help from the owner of a famous tteokbokki restaurant (Jin Goo), whose flavor closely resembles his father’s recipe, and actively asks him to teach him his techniques.
Attention is focused on whether Kang Sung Jae, armed with his short but impactful experience as a military cook, will be able to save not only the Gangrim Outpost menu, but also his mother’s food truck business.
Episode 5 of “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier” airs on May 25 at 8:50 p.m. KST.
