MBC Plus’s upcoming drama “My Idol, My Debut” has kicked off the countdown to the debut of its fictional girl group IRION!

THE BOYZ’s Q will star as Han Jae Ha, a key member of the boy group BOY TO THE MOON, while Hwang Ji Ah will play Choi Annie, a devoted fan of Han Jae Ha who winds up becoming a member of the girl group IRION after traveling eight years back in time.

The upcoming drama has now released teaser images of IRION for their upcoming debut with “MEMORIA,” which is due out on July 19 at 12 p.m. KST.

THE BOYZ’s Q, Hwang Ji Ah, And More Showcase Seamless Chemistry At “My Idol, My Debut” Script Reading

“My Idol, My Debut” has shared a glimpse of its first script reading!

“My Idol, My Debut” is a time-slip coming-of-age drama about a devoted fan who travels eight years into the past to prevent a tragic accident. In an effort to change fate, she winds up becoming an idol trainee.

The script reading was attended by director Han Geum Bi, writer Choi Yeon Soo, and the drama’s main cast, including THE BOYZ’s Q, Lee Jin Hyuk, Hwang Ji Ah, Jung Ji Ahn, WOOAH’s Nana, tripleS’s Kaede, and AISA.

Making his first leading role through this project, Q fully immersed himself in the role of Han Jae Ha, a key member of the fictional boy group BOY TO THE MOON. With his calm yet confident line delivery and focused performance, he convincingly captured the charisma and star quality of his character, earning praise from everyone on set.

Hwang Ji Ah, who plays Choi Ae Ni, a devoted fan who travels eight years into the past to change a tragic future before ending up becoming a central member of the girl group IRION, also impressed with her nuanced performance. Drawing on her experience as a former child actress, she skillfully portrayed both Choi Ae Ni’s desperate determination to change her idol’s fate.

Lee Jin Hyuk, who plays Ethan, a Canadian-born mood-maker of BOY TO THE MOON, energized the script reading with his signature wit and effortless charm.

Meanwhile, scenes featuring the members of the fictional girl group IRION—Choi Ae Ni (Hwang Ji Ah), Aji (WOOAH’s Nana), Karin (tripleS’s Kaede), and Aisa (AISA)—stood out for their natural chemistry and lively energy, making them feel like a real K-pop girl group.

The production team shared, “It was hard to believe this was the cast’s first time working together because their chemistry was so strong. With real K-pop artists and talented actors coming together, we’re confident we can deliver an idol coming-of-age story that feels even more authentic than reality.”

“My Idol, My Debut” is scheduled to premiere in July.

MBC Plus’s upcoming drama “My Idol, My Debut” has shared its first glimpse of Lee Jin Hyuk in character!

“My Idol, My Debut” is a time-slip coming-of-age story about a passionate fan who travels eight years into the past to prevent a tragic accident. In an effort to change fate, she winds up becoming an idol trainee. THE BOYZ’s Q will star as Han Jae Ha, a key member of the fictional boy group BOY TO THE MOON.

Lee Jin Hyuk will play the role of Ethan, a Canadian-born member of BOY TO THE MOON who is the group’s official “mood-maker” and easily gets along with other people wherever he goes.

However, in newly released stills from the upcoming drama, Ethan is seen looking scruffy as he sits on the ground in front of a convenience store with a messy hair and face, a stained plaid shirt, and ripped jeans. The sight of Ethan looking decidedly unpolished piques curiosity as to what sort of situation he has found himself in.

Also pictured outside the convenience store are the members of girl group IRION: Choi Ae Ni (Hwang Ji Ah), Aji (WOOAH’s Nana), Karin (tripleS’s Kaede), and AISA. Sitting at a table with triangle kimbap and banana milk, the quartet poses for the camera with cute expressions befitting a girl group.

MBC Plus’s upcoming drama “My Idol, My Debut” has announced its cast lineup including THE BOYZ’s Q, Lee Jin Hyuk, Lee Jin Kyu, Lee Ho Hyun, Hwang Ji Ah, WOOAH’s Nana, tripleS’s Kaede, and AISA!

“My Idol, My Debut” is a time-slip coming-of-age story about a passionate fan who travels eight years into the past to prevent a tragic accident. She becomes an idol trainee in an effort to change fate.

In the drama, the boy group Boy to the Moon and the girl group IRION begin as fictional groups within the story. They later debut as real idols through official music releases and stage performances. It blends drama with K-pop promotions, marking a first-of-its-kind approach in South Korea.

Q plays Han Jae Ha, a central character and key member of Boy to the Moon with exceptional talent and a distinct star aura. Through the role, Q expands his acting range through both idol performance scenes and the character’s growth.

Lee Jin Hyuk joins as Ethan, a Canada-born member who serves as a key pillar of the group alongside Han Jae Ha.

Lee Jin Kyu and Lee Ho Hyun play Kaden and Eun Ho, respectively, completing Boy to the Moon with added teamwork and story depth.

As for the girl group IRION, Hwang Ji Ah joins the cast as Choi Ae Ni, who drives the story’s main plot. She portrays an idol trainee who enters the industry in an effort to change her fate.
