BLACKPINK’s Jennie Becomes 2nd Female K-Pop Artist To Enter Top 5 Of Billboard Hot 100

BLACKPINK’s Jennie has just hit an exciting new career high on Billboard’s Hot 100!

On July 13 local time, Billboard announced that Jennie and Tame Impala’s remix of “Dracula” had risen to a new peak of No. 5 on its Hot 100 chart, which ranks the most popular songs in the United States.

Jennie has now become only the second female K-pop artist ever to enter the top five of the Hot 100, joining her bandmate Rosé, who reached No. 3 on the chart last year with her Bruno Mars collab “APT.”

Outside of the Hot 100, “Dracula” spent its second consecutive week at No. 1 on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart, which measures weekly plays on mainstream Top 40 radio stations across the United States. The song also remained No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart, and Dance Streaming Songs chart this week.

“Dracula” maintained its peak of No. 3 on Billboard’s Radio Songs chart, which measures weekly plays on U.S. radio stations across all genres, in addition to holding steady at No. 6 on both the Global 200 and the Global Excl. U.S. chart.

The single also climbed to a new peak of No. 11 in in its seventh week on Billboard’s Songs of the Summer chart.

Meanwhile, Jennie made Billboard’s Artist 100 at No. 82 this week, marking her 18th overall week on the chart as a solo artist.

Congratulations to Jennie!

BLACKPINK’s Jennie, BTS, And KATSEYE Make Billboard’s “The 50 Best Songs Of 2026 So Far” List

The staff at Billboard have released their picks for the 50 best songs of the year thus far!

On June 24 local time, Billboard published its midyear roundup of “The 50 Best Songs of 2026 So Far,” ˙which spans a variety of genres.

BLACKPINK’s Jennie and Tame Impala’s collab remix of “Dracula” made the list at No. 14, with Lyndsey Havens writing, “It’s not often that a remix eclipses an original, but that’s exactly what happened here—thanks in large part to Jennie’s cohesive contribution. On ‘Dracula (Remix),’ the pop star doesn’t drop in for a verse [or] two, she’s embedded throughout, making her whispered presence a quiet, creeping force that creates a more intimate, conversational tone than Kevin Parker solo—especially with lyrical tweaks like ‘My friends are saying, “Shut up, Jennie, just get in the car”’ (instead of ‘Shut up, Kevin’) and later asking, ‘Hey Kevin, what’s up?’ As such, Jennie hopping on the track helped lure fans of the original and new listeners alike to crave another bite.”

Meanwhile, BTS’s “SWIM” took No. 25 on the midyear list. Kristen Wisneski wrote, “‘SWIM,’ the lead from ‘ARIRANG,’ BTS’s first studio album of new material since 2020, blends a melodic, mid-tempo alternative-pop sound in contrast to the upbeat songs the group usually releases. The song’s metaphor, combined with the lyric ‘I just wanna dive,’ allows the septet to reflect on taking a chance, embracing the unknown, and diving into something new while acknowledging that they’re ready for more. This sense of readiness for what lies ahead, together with the smooth synth-driven sound, created an atmosphere of calmness and reflection throughout the track, and helped make it smooth sailing for the group’s journey back to the No. 1 spot on the Hot 100.”

Finally, KATSEYE’s “PINKY UP” made the list at No. 45, with Kristen Wisneski describing the single as “just one piece of the vision behind the group’s new musical era.” She went on, “With the group putting its ‘PINKY UP’ as a symbolic response to the imminent apocalypse (‘One day, soon, the world’s gonna end/I’m gonna make out with my new bestest friends’), they make the best of end times and spend their final days on cloud nine. With an upbeat melody and highly danceable rhythm, the song continues to strike a chord with fans, both on their playlists and throughout KATSEYE’s festival run this summer.”

Congratulations to Jennie, BTS, and KATSEYE!

BLACKPINK’s Jisoo’s Legal Representative Releases Statement Addressing Family-Related Controversy

BLACKPINK’s Jisoo’s legal representative has issued an official statement addressing recent speculation surrounding a family-related controversy.

On April 16, reports emerged that the older brother of a well-known girl group member, identified as Mr. A, had been arrested on charges of sexually molesting a female broadcast jockey (BJ). As speculation grew that the individual in question was Jisoo’s older brother, additional allegations surfaced. A person identifying herself as Mr. A’s wife claimed on social media that she had experienced domestic violence during their marriage.

In response, on April 20, attorney Eun Hyun Ho of Kim & Chang, the legal representative for Jisoo’s agency BLISSOO, released an official statement clarifying that both the artist and the company are not connected to the matter.

This is attorney Eun Hyun Ho of Kim & Chang, legal representative for BLISSOO.

We express our deep regret over the indiscriminate spread of content that associates the artist and BLISSOO with a family-related matter, as well as the circulation of false information that damages the artist’s reputation through certain media reports, online communities, and social media.

First, the matter currently being raised is entirely unrelated to the artist and BLISSOO. Much of the information circulating online consists of unverified speculation or clearly false claims.

The artist began her trainee life at a young age and has lived independently for many years, apart from her family. As such, she is not in a position to be aware of or involved in the private matters of the individual in question.

Additionally, during the preparatory stages of establishing BLISSOO, the artist did receive limited advice and assistance from family members in the form of relaying communications during discussions with relevant parties. However, at no point—then or now—have family members received compensation from BLISSOO or participated in any management or decision-making processes. Since then, the company has been operated entirely independently, without any involvement from family members.

In particular, claims circulating in some media outlets and online stating that “the individual co-founded the company with the artist” or that “the individual serves as part of BLISSOO’s management or as its CEO” are entirely false. We clearly state that the individual has no legal or managerial ties to BLISSOO.

Furthermore, neither BLISSOO nor the artist has provided any financial or legal support to the individual, nor do they have any plans to do so in the future. The artist also has no communication or involvement with the individual regarding this matter.

Despite this, the continued dissemination of false information, as well as the use of the artist’s name, likeness, or image in connection with unrelated matters, constitutes a clear violation of rights and defamation.

Accordingly, our legal team strongly warns that we will take all available civil and criminal legal action without delay against the following acts:

1. The creation and distribution of content containing false information and defamatory claims
2. The use of the artist’s name, likeness, or image in unrelated matters
3. The publication or creation of content based on unverified or speculative information

In particular, we make it clear that we will respond firmly—without leniency or settlement—to those who repeatedly or maliciously create and disseminate such content.

BLACKPINK’s Jennie Makes TIME Magazine’s List Of “100 Most Influential People Of 2026”

BLACKPINK’s Jennie has been named one of TIME magazine’s “100 Most Influential People of 2026”!

On April 15 local time, TIME magazine published its 2026 TIME100 list, its annual selection of the world’s 100 most influential people.

Jennie was one of the 100 people to make this year’s list, falling under the artist category alongside other singers and actors.

Writing as a guest contributor, singer Gracie Abrams wrote:

To cut to the chase: Jennie is a star. I could go on and on about her accomplishments or her influence in pop culture. But sitting down to write, the thing that comes to mind is that the magic at her core—the power that draws you into “Jennie the Artist” when you’re watching her onscreen or as one of 100,000 people in a stadium—is identical to the power she carries when you find her in the corner of a party or run into her in a backstage hallway.

What makes Jennie a true star is that even in her quiet moments, she possesses the same kind of undeniable presence that cuts through all the noise, and she carries that with kindness and warmth. She is the type of person who will grab both your hands and squeeze them. She has a softness that only emphasizes her strength. I just love her.

Congratulations to Jennie!
