GOT7’s Park Jinyoung has set a new personal record with his first-ever solo comeback!

Last week, Park Jinyoung made his long-awaited return as a singer with his second mini album “Said & Done” and its feel-good title track “EVERLOVE” on May 13.

Hanteo Chart has now reported that “Said & Done” sold a total of 34,621 copies in the first week of its release (May 13 to 19), breaking Jinyoung’s previous first-week sales record of 30,586 (set by his solo debut mini album “Chapter 0: WITH” back in 2023).

Upcoming film “Wild Sing” has unveiled new stills of Park Ji Hyun!

“Wild Sing” is a comedy movie that follows the story of TRIANGLE, a once-popular co-ed trio that fell into obscurity after an unfortunate incident. The film depicts their chaotic journey as they attempt to reunite and make a comeback.

Park Ji Hyun plays Do Mi, the center of the co-ed group TRIANGLE. The newly released stills show Do Mi’s everyday life as a chaebol daughter-in-law after retiring from her singing career, as well as her original personality, which reemerges after 20 years.

In one still, Do Mi sits inside a luxury car, wearing a stylish tweed jacket and dark sunglasses while giving off an untouchable aura. Her aloof expression as she looks out the window reflects her current status in high society.

Shin Ye Eun Gradually Breaks Down Lee Jae Wook’s Walls In “Doctor On The Edge”

ENA’s upcoming drama “Doctor on the Edge” has released new stills featuring Lee Jae Wook and Shin Ye Eun!

“Doctor on the Edge” will tell the love story of public health doctor Do Ji Eui (Lee Jae Wook), who is assigned to the notorious island Pyeondong, and nurse Yook Ha Ri (Shin Ye Eun), who is hiding a secret. After crossing paths on a remote island, they embark on a heartwarming journey of saving lives and learning about love as they get to know the island’s residents.

The newly released stills capture the changes in the relationship between Yook Ha Ri and Do Ji Eui as she begins to break down the walls he had built around himself. Yook Ha Ri suddenly appears before Do Ji Eui, who is far from pleased to be on Pyeondong Island, and his bewildered reaction to her headset trick sparks curiosity about their first meeting.

The next set of stills captures a late-night date between the two. Yook Ha Ri smiles like a child as she shows Do Ji Eui one of Pyeondong’s treasures, while he gazes at her in apparent admiration. Expectations are rising for the story of Do Ji Eui, who must survive on the infamous island of Pyeondong, and Yook Ha Ri, who becomes his guide, as the two gradually grow closer to each other.

Speaking about working with Shin Ye Eun, Lee Jae Wook shared, “She had a bright and radiant energy. At the same time, she is an actress who is both composed and inspires trust in her co-stars,” adding, “Working together, I felt she was prepared for every moment. She is honest with her emotions, and that energy was naturally conveyed on set.”

Shin Ye Eun also praised her co-star, saying, “Just the fact that we’re the same age made me feel closer to him, and my first impression was that he was kind and easygoing.”

She continued, “Not only in acting, but also in the way he carefully looked after the entire set, he showed a great deal of maturity, and I felt I could learn a lot from him. He was a wonderful partner who created an environment where both the actors and staff could work comfortably.”

“Doctor on the Edge” will premiere on June 1 at 10 p.m. KST.

“The Scarecrow” Breaks ENA Ratings Record As “Yumi’s Cells 3” Ends On Highest Ratings Of Its Run

Just six episodes into its run, ENA’s “The Scarecrow” has already made network history!

On May 5, “The Scarecrow” climbed to its highest viewership ratings yet, continuing its perfect streak of seeing its ratings rise with each new episode. According to Nielsen Korea, the latest episode of the mystery thriller took first place in its time slot across all channels with an average nationwide rating of 7.41 percent.

Not only was “The Scarecrow” the most-watched show to air on any cable network on Tuesday, but it has now broken the record for the highest viewership ratings ever achieved by an ENA Monday-Tuesday drama.

Notably, the previous record was set by the series finale of the hit drama “Ms. Incognito,” which ended on an average nationwide rating of 7.1 percent last year—and which “The Scarecrow” managed to overtake in only six episodes. With “The Scarecrow” already gaining steam at an impressive rate, it remains to be seen just how much higher its record will rise in the weeks to come.

Meanwhile, tvN’s “Yumi’s Cells 3” ended on the highest ratings of its entire run. The finale scored an average nationwide rating of 2.5 percent, marking a new personal record for the drama.

BTS’s “ARIRANG” Breaks Billboard 200 Record For Most Weeks In Top 10 Of Any Album By Korean Artist

BTS continues to break records with “ARIRANG”!

On April 26 local time, Billboard announced that BTS’s latest album “ARIRANG” had ranked No. 4 in its fifth consecutive week on the Top 200 Albums chart, which ranks the most popular albums in the United States.

“ARIRANG” has now become the first album by a Korean artist to spend five weeks in the top 10 of the Blllboard 200. The album, which topped the Billboard 200 for its first three weeks, previously made history as the first album by a Korean artist to spend more than one week at No. 1 on the chart.

According to Luminate (formerly Nielsen Music), “ARIRANG” earned a total of 62,000 equivalent album units during the week ending on April 23.

“Perfect Crown” Breaks Into Double-Digit Ratings As “We Are All Trying Here” Premieres

Just four episodes into its run, viewership ratings for MBC’s “Perfect Crown” have already soared into the double digits!

On April 18, the new romance drama starring IU and Byeon Woo Seok achieved its highest ratings yet. According to Nielsen Korea, the fourth episode of “Perfect Crown” took first place in its time slot across all channels with an average nationwide rating of 11.1 percent.

“Perfect Crown” was also the most-watched show of any kind to air on Saturday among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 54, with whom it earned an average rating of 5.3 percent.

Meanwhile, JTBC’s new drama “We Are All Trying Here” premiered to an average nationwide rating of 2.2 percent for its first episode.

tvN’s “Mad Concrete Dreams,” which has just one episode left in its run, scored an average nationwide rating of 2.4 percent ahead of its series finale.

SBS’s “Phantom Lawyer” earned an average nationwide rating of 6.0 percent for the night, while TV Chosun’s “Doctor Shin” scored a nationwide average of 1.1 percent.
