TWICE’s Tzuyu is currently contemplating her contract renewal with JYP Entertainment.

On July 14, a media outlet reported that TWICE’s Tzuyu is leaving JYP Entertainment, which she has been with for 11 years. The report also mentioned that she would continue to participate in group activities.

In response to the report, a representative from JYP Entertainment briefly commented, “TWICE is currently in the period of discussing contract renewals, and we will inform you as soon as matters are finalized.”

WINNER’s Kang Seung Yoon Reportedly Cast In New Drama + YG Briefly Responds

WINNER’s Kang Seung Yoon may be returning to the small screen for the first time in four years!

On July 1, Xportsnews reported that Kang Seung Yoon has been cast in the upcoming KBS2 weekend drama “I Went to School” (literal title).

“I Went to School” tells the story of Yoon Ok Hee, an overly involved mother who enrolls in college later in life, embarking on a new chapter as she redesigns her future. Lee Jung Eun is in talks to lead the drama as Yoon Ok Hee, with Yu Jun Sang, Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung, and Jeon Sung Woo also reportedly joining the cast.

According to the report, Kang Seung Yoon has been offered the role of Yoon Ok Hee’s son.

In response to the report, both YG Entertainment and KBS briefly stated, “We cannot confirm.”

The series will be penned by Yang Hee Seung, who wrote hit dramas including “Crash Course in Romance,” “Oh My Ghost,” “Weightlifting Fairy, Kim Bok Joo,” and “A Hundred Memories.”

Kang Seung Yoon made his acting debut in 2011 through the sitcom “High Kick: Revenge of the Short Legged,” before debuting as a member of WINNER. He later appeared in dramas including “Prison Playbook,” “Kairos,” and “Voice 4.” His most recent acting project was the 2022 KBS Drama Special “The Season of Undies.”

If confirmed, “I Went to School” will mark Kang Seung Yoon’s first television drama in four years.

TWICE’s Jeongyeon In Talks To Sign With New Agency + JYP Entertainment Briefly Comments

TWICE member Jeongyeon is in discussions to sign with VARO Entertainment.

On June 24, a media outlet reported that Jeongyeon recently held a meeting with VARO Entertainment, the agency to which her older sister and actress Gong Seung Yeon belong.

A representative of VARO Entertainment confirmed, “It is true that we recently held a meeting with Jeongyeon.” However, regarding an exclusive contract, they stated, “Nothing has been decided.”

Her current agency JYP Entertainment also commented, “TWICE is currently in a period of contract renewal discussions, and we are proceeding with careful deliberations while respecting the mutual intentions of the members.”

Jeongyeon debuted as a member of TWICE in 2015 through the Mnet audition program “SIXTEEN.” Recently, she was cast in the film “New Recruit: The Movie,” marking her upcoming screen debut. It is reported that Jeongyeon plays the role of a nursing officer in the film.

Kang Mina Reported To Reunite With Byeon Woo Seok In “Solo Leveling” Live-Action Adaptation + Agency Briefly Responds

Kang Mina may star in a new drama!

On May 13, a media outlet reported that Kang Mina would appear in Netflix’s upcoming original series “Solo Leveling.”

In response to the report, her agency Story J Company stated, “Nothing has been confirmed [regarding her appearance in ‘Solo Leveling’].”

“Solo Leveling,” which originally began as a web novel before being adapted into a webtoon and an animated series, tells the story of Sung Jin Woo, an E-rank Hunter—the lowest tier among those who protect the real world from monsters beyond the mysterious Gates. After a near-death experience, he gains extraordinary abilities, and as he levels up, he becomes humanity’s unexpected hope.

It was previously confirmed that Byeon Woo Seok will lead the series as Sung Jin Woo, while Han So Hee is currently in talks for the role of Cha Hae In. Kang You Seok is also in talks for the role Yoo Jin Ho.

Kang Mina debuted as a member of the group I.O.I. She recently appeared in Netflix’s original series “If Wishes Could Kill,” where she played Im Na Ri. She previously worked with Byeon Woo Seok in “Moonshine” and short drama “History of walking Upright.”

ADOR Briefly Comments On Rumors Of NewJeans’ Minji’s Return

NewJeans’ agency has commented regarding rumors of Minji’s return.

On May 7, which is Minji’s birthday, NewJeans’ official social media accounts posted several photos of cookies that Minji recently baked for fans visiting her birthday cafe, leading to rumors of her retrun.

In response, ADOR commented, “We are continuing internal discussions regarding her future activities.” They added, “We have no specific details to provide at this time. We would appreciate it if you could understand that discussions are generally proceeding in a positive direction.”

Won Gyu Bin Reportedly Cast As Bong Seok In “Moving 2” + Disney+ And Agency Briefly Respond 

Rookie actor Won Gyu Bin may be stepping into the role of Bong Seok, previously played by Lee Jung Ha, in the hit Disney+ series “Moving 2”!

On April 16, SPOTV News reported that Won Gyu Bin has been cast as Kim Bong Seok in Season 2 of “Moving.” According to the report, around 150 cast and crew members recently gathered at KINTEX in Ilsan for a full script reading, which Won Gyu Bin is also reported to have attended.

In response to the casting reports, Won Gyu Bin’s agency nne stated, “We cannot confirm this. We ask for your understanding.” Disney+ likewise responded with “unable to confirm.”

Based on the webtoon of the same name by writer Kang Full, “Moving” is a superhero action drama about teenagers with hidden superhuman powers and their parents who harbor painful secrets from their pasts. Together, they confront powerful dark forces that span generations.

Season 1 was a major global success upon its release, becoming the most-watched Korean original series on Disney+ at the time. Season 2 is expected to expand the story with new characters and storylines and is currently aiming for a 2027 premiere.

While Season 1 focused on younger leads like Bong Seok (Lee Jung Ha), Hui Soo (Go Youn Jung), and Gang Hoon (Kim Do Hoon), the upcoming season is expected to shift more focus toward newly introduced characters and the adult generation.

Lee Jung Ha, who played Bong Seok in Season 1, will not be able to return for Season 2 as he enlisted in the Marine Corps on January 26 and is currently fulfilling his mandatory military service. His discharge is scheduled for July 2027.

Won Gyu Bin made his acting debut in 2025 through “BITCH X RICH 2” and is also set to appear in the upcoming tvN drama “See You at Work Tomorrow!”
