10 Office Rom-Com K-Dramas Which Bring Both Love And Laughs

There is something particularly addictive about a good office romance. Whether it is a boss falling for an employee, colleagues discovering that their professional rivalry hides a deeper attraction, or two people finding love while navigating demanding careers, K-dramas have turned the workplace into one of their favorite settings for romance and comedy.

From fangirls who join a company to get closer to their celebrity crush to secretaries finally walking away from their demanding bosses, these dramas mix workplace politics, professional ambitions, and complicated relationships with plenty of laughs. Here are some office rom-coms to add to your watchlist.

“My Bias, My Boss“

10 Office Rom-Com K-Dramas Which Bring Both Love And Laughs插图

Nam Da Reum (Kim Hye Jun) is a devoted fan of idol Lee Chan (Cha Woo Min), whom she has supported for years. Determined to meet her favorite star, she leaves a job at a major company and joins fashion platform APPELLO, founded by Lee Chan and his best friend Kang Ha Gi (Kang Hoon), who is CEO.

But instead of enjoying her dream workplace with her all-time bias being well within arm’s reach, Da Reum finds herself dealing with the meticulous and demanding Ha Gi. As she spends more time with her boss, her feelings become complicated, as she is left wondering which one of them really makes her heart skip a beat.

What makes this rom-com fun is the unusual setup. Da Reum enters the company because of her idol crush, only to discover that the person who starts catching her attention is her boss. The workplace setting adds another layer to an already complicated love triangle.

“Love Scout”

Kang Ji Yun (Han Ji Min) is the CEO of Peoplez, a successful headhunting company. She is brilliant at her job but less comfortable with the everyday details of life outside work. Yu Eun Ho (Lee Jun Hyuk) joins her as her secretary and assistant. A single father who is warm, organized, and exceptionally capable, Eun Ho is almost the opposite of his demanding boss. As the two work closely together, their professional relationship gradually develops into something more.

The appeal of this drama is the role reversal. Instead of the usual competent male boss and inexperienced female employee, “Love Scout” gives viewers a formidable female CEO and a male secretary who becomes indispensable to her both professionally and personally. Upending the gender stereotypes and the contrasting personalities of the leads create much of the show’s charm.

“My Dearest Nemesis”

Baek Su Jung (Mun Ka Young) and Ban Ju Yeon (Choi Hyun Wook) first meet through an online game when they are teenagers. They form a connection which is best left forgotten, without knowing each other’s real identities. 16 years later, they meet again in the real world—this time as an employee and her boss. Su Jung is a planning team leader at Yongseong Department Store, while Ju Yeon is the head of its strategic planning division.

Childhood memories, an online romance, and a workplace reunion make this a classic enemies-to-lovers setup with a modern twist. The fun comes from watching two people who once knew each other very differently try to navigate their new boss-employee relationship.

“Filing for Love”

Joo In Ah (Shin Hae Sun) is the tough and eccentric head of the audit office at Haemu Group. Noh Ki Jun (Gong Myoung) is an ace employee in the company’s audit department whose career takes an unexpected turn when he is demoted to a team that handles internal misconduct. His new circumstances bring him into close contact with In Ah, whose unpredictable personality makes their professional relationship anything but straightforward. Jeon Jae Yeol (Kim Jae Wook), Haemu Group’s executive vice chairman, and his secretary, Park Ah Jeong (Hong Hwa Yeon), add another layer to the workplace story.

The audit office setting gives the romance an unusual workplace backdrop. Instead of simply dealing with deadlines and office gossip, the characters are investigating misconduct while trying to figure out whom they can trust, making the professional and personal conflicts collide.

“Today’s Webtoon”

On Ma Eum (Kim Sejeong) is a former national-level judo athlete whose sporting career ends after an injury. She finds a new direction when she joins the editorial department of a webtoon company as a rookie employee. Seok Ji Hyung (Choi Daniel) is her experienced deputy editor and mentor, while Goo Joon Yeong (Nam Yoon Su) is a new employee from the sales team who initially struggles to adapt to the workplace.

“Today’s Webtoon” is as much about finding your place professionally as it is about romance. Set inside the fiercely competitive webtoon industry, the drama follows young employees earning how to survive office politics, support one another, and grow into their careers. It is a warm workplace drama with romantic elements rather than a conventional office romance.

“The Divorce Insurance”

10 Office Rom-Com K-Dramas Which Bring Both Love And Laughs插图5

Noh Ki Jun (Lee Dong Wook) is an insurance actuary who has been divorced three times. Working in the innovative product development team at an insurance company, he comes up with the unusual idea of divorce insurance. Kang Han Deul (Lee Joo Bin), an underwriter who has filed for divorce after being mistreated by her in-laws, joins his team. Their colleagues include cautious team member Ahn Jeong Man (Lee Kwang Soo) and financial mathematician Jeon Na Rae (Lee Da Hee), who approaches relationships with the same analytical mindset she applies to investments.

The premise alone makes this office rom-com stand out. Instead of selling conventional insurance products, the characters try to put a price on one of life’s most unpredictable events. The unusual workplace project naturally leads them to examine their own ideas about love, marriage, and divorce.

“A Business Proposal”

10 Office Rom-Com K-Dramas Which Bring Both Love And Laughs插图6

Shin Ha Ri (Kim Sejeong) is a food researcher at Go Food who agrees to go on a blind date in place of her friend Jin Yeong Seo (Seol In Ah). Her plan is to scare the man away, but things go wrong when she discovers that her blind date is Kang Tae Moo (Ahn Hyo Seop), the new CEO of her company. To make matters even more complicated, Tae Moo decides he wants to marry the woman he believes she is. Meanwhile, Young Seo finds herself falling for Tae Moo’s secretary and close confidant, Cha Sung Hoon (Kim Min Kyu).

Fake identities, a fake relationship, a demanding CEO, and a workplace romance make this one of the most quintessential modern office rom-coms. The parallel romance between Yeong Seo and Sung Hoon adds another layer of comedy and chemistry.

“See You at Work Tomorrow”

10 Office Rom-Com K-Dramas Which Bring Both Love And Laughs插图7

Cha Ji Yoon (Park Ji Hyun) is a seven-year office worker who has spent years navigating the pressures of corporate life while living with a chronic illness. Her relationship with her prickly boss, Kang Si Woo (Seo In Guk), starts off on the wrong foot, but soon enough the two are entangled in an unexpected way, which gradually develops into a meaningful bond.

The drama brings a more grounded perspective to the office romance format, looking at what it means to keep showing up for work while dealing with challenges in your personal life. The relationship between Ji Yoon and Si Woo grows against the everyday pressures of office life.

“Yumi’s Cells 2”

10 Office Rom-Com K-Dramas Which Bring Both Love And Laughs插图8

Kim Yumi (Kim Go Eun) continues to navigate work and relationships in the second season of the series. After her relationship with game developer Goo Woong (Ahn Bo Hyun), Yumi becomes closer to her colleague, Yoo Babi (Park Jin Young). Their relationship develops while Yumi continues working and pursuing her dream of becoming a writer.

The office setting is woven naturally into Yumi’s romantic and personal journey rather than being the entire premise. The animated cells inside Yumi’s head add a playful perspective to everything from workplace frustrations to romantic confusion, making the drama particularly relatable for anyone who has ever over-analysed a text from a colleague.

When Mi So announces that she wants to resign and finally build a life of her own, Young Joon is stunned. He quickly realizes that losing his secretary may mean losing the woman he has come to love.

This is the classic boss-secretary rom-com. Young Joon’s outrageous confidence clashes with Mi So’s growing determination to live life on her own terms, while their transition from employer and employee to a couple creates plenty of comedy, romantic tension, and workplace chaos. The chemistry between Park Min Young and Park Seo Joon is also scorching.

Kim Young Kwang And Chae Soo Bin’s Unique Conditions Bring Them Together In “Take Charge Of My Heart”

Netflix’s upcoming rom-com “Take Charge of My Heart” has unveiled new stills featuring Kim Young Kwang and Chae Soo Bin!

Based on the web novel of the same name, “Take Charge of My Heart” is an electrifying romantic comedy about a man whose artificial heart is running out of battery and a woman with the unique power to recharge him. Kim Young Kwang stars as the cool and collected Baek Ho Rang, while Chae Soo Bin plays the lovely Na Bo Bae.

In the stills, Kim Young Kwang transforms into Baek Ho Rang, the third-generation heir to a chaebol family. As an executive director leading TS Resort, Baek Ho Rang is a perfectionist workaholic who excels at handling any task assigned to him. With his relaxed demeanor and striking appearance, he is the picture of a perfect man who naturally draws people’s attention.

However, Baek Ho Rang’s expression is filled with confusion when he comes face-to-face with Na Bo Bae. What could have happened to make Baek Ho Rang’s artificial heart race? Kim Young Kwang And Chae Soo Bin’s Unique Conditions Bring Them Together In “Take Charge Of My Heart”插图1

Chae Soo Bin captures attention with her lovable charm as she transforms into drama writer Na Bo Bae. Her cute appearance and refreshing smile are the very definition of “lovely,” but Na Bo Bae has lived her entire life as a single woman because of her electric ability, which causes anyone she touches to get shocked. Then one day, she happens to meet Baek Ho Rang, who is immune to her electric powers.

Suddenly, Na Bo Bae gets the perfect opportunity to turn the “romance bucket list” she had only ever dreamed of into reality. With her eyes tightly closed as if lost in a sweet fantasy, it remains to be seen whether Na Bo Bae will be able to complete her romance script and charge up some real-life excitement as well.

Kim Young Kwang shared, “‘Take Charge of My Heart’ is a comic-book-like romance with the unique premise of an artificial heart running out of power and being recharged through physical contact. I was drawn to the pure-romance, comic-like premise and atmosphere, which ultimately convinced me to join the project.”

He also shared that he paid close attention to his styling to bring his character to life, adding, “I think viewers will have fun seeing how his style changes depending on the situation and atmosphere.”

Regarding his chemistry with Chae Soo Bin, he said, “We had so much fun filming that there was hardly a moment when we weren’t laughing. Chae Soo Bin did such a natural job with the romantic comedy that it was much more comfortable for me to approach the role as well.”

Kim Young Kwang And Chae Soo Bin’s Unique Conditions Bring Them Together In “Take Charge Of My Heart”插图4

Chae Soo Bin described “Take Charge of My Heart” as “a project that takes the familiar appeal unique to romantic comedies and charges it with our own lovable charm.”

She also explained how she approached the character, saying, “I wanted to show Bo Bae’s tendency to avoid causing inconvenience to others because of her electric ability, whether by covering herself from head to toe or wearing only one glove. I also expressed the premise that static electricity occurs through her curly hair. ‘Take Charge of My Heart’ is a project with a charm that makes viewers smile. I hope it remains a ‘tingling’ project for everyone who watches it.”

Lee Hyun Kyun, Ok Ja Yeon, Baek Yae In, And Park Bo Kyung Bring Diverse Charms To New Drama “The Ordinary Jackpot”

“The Ordinary Jackpot” has unveiled new stills featuring its supporting cast!

Based on a webtoon, “The Ordinary Jackpot” follows Gong Eun Tae (Lee Jun Hyuk), an ordinary sales employee who wins the lottery jackpot. Though the prize—1.3 billion won (approximately $950,000)—isn’t quite enough to dramatically transform his life overnight, the experience ultimately inspires him to change himself instead. Rather than quit, he returns to work the very next day with a completely different outlook on life.

The newly released stills capture the various employees who lead Hongseong International, where Gong Eun Tae works.

Lee Hyun Kyun plays Jang Kyung Chul, the deputy general manager of the sales department. The newly released still shows off his charisma as he gives orders with a sharp gaze. Jang Kyung Chul, who is Gong Eun Tae and Jung Seon Hyuk’s (Oh Dae Hwan) superior at work, is a character who never hesitates to offer the two realistic advice. He does not back down when it comes to his performance and the things he must protect, highlighting his prickly demeanor as a boss and his more human side.

Director Yoon Young Bin selected the chemistry among the actors as one of the series’ key points to watch. The director said, “I think the set was a process in which the actors filled in the blank spaces in the script. Usually, when we see good acting, we often use the expression ‘an acting showdown,’ but this series was less like an acting showdown and more like a team running together toward a single goal. It will be even more enjoyable if you focus on the chemistry among the actors, which enriches the series.”

“The Ordinary Jackpot” will premiere on TVING and Viki on September 10, while the television broadcast will begin on September 14 via tvN.

Park Bo Gum, Kim You Jung, Jin Young, Chae Soo Bin, And Kwak Dong Yeon Bring Back Their “Love In The Moonlight” Looks In New Variety Show Posters

The upcoming special variety show for “Love in the Moonlight” has unveiled new posters!

On September 7, the production team of the KBS2 variety show “Love Again in the Moonlight” (literal translation) released a set of posters, revealing the reunion of the five actors.

A special variety show commemorating the 10th anniversary of the drama, “Love Again in the Moonlight” follows the actors as they embark on a two-day, one-night trip together. They travel to Hongcheon, Gangwon province, where they revisit memories from 10 years ago in a warm and friendly atmosphere while sharing their enduring camaraderie and friendship.

The first poster features Park Bo Gum, Kim You Jung, Jin Young, Chae Soo Bin, and Kwak Dong Yeon standing side by side in the outfits they actually wore while filming the drama. The poster stands out by recreating their appearances from the series 10 years ago.

Jung Min Ah And Dong Ha Bring 2 Very Different Families Together In “Mission: Mompossible”

KBS 1TV has unveiled two posters for its upcoming drama “Mission: Mompossible”!

“Mission: Mompossible” is a new weekday drama about two very different mothers and the entangled lives of their children. One mom has sacrificed everything and devoted herself entirely to her family for a long time, while the other mom has lived her life solely for herself.

The first of the two newly released posters shows cast members Jung Min Ah, Dong Ha, Kim Hee Jung, Kang Kyung Hun, Kim Young Ok, Yang Hee Kyung, and Jo Mi Ryung affectionately embracing one another.

Squashed in between the beaming older women are Kang Da Mi (Jung Min Ah) and Cha Seung Yoon (Dong Ha), who look adorably flustered.

The second poster features the couple sitting beneath the five smiling mothers in an image resembling a family portrait. In contrast to the mothers’ cheerful expressions, Kang Da Mi and Cha Seung Yoon appear comically at a loss for what to do.
