Watch: Yu Jae Seok, Lee Kwang Soo, Byeon Woo Seok, And Ji Ye Eun Barely Keep Up With Endless Chaos In “Jae Seok’s B&B Rules!”
“Jae Seok’s B&B Rules!” has unveiled a fun new introduction video spotlighting its four chaotic staff members!
“Jae Seok’s B&B Rules!” follows Yu Jae Seok as he takes on the challenge of running a bed-and-breakfast for the very first time. Joined by Lee Kwang Soo, Byeon Woo Seok, and Ji Ye Eun as staff members, they welcome guests and create memorable moments filled with laughter, chaos, and heartfelt warmth.
In the newly released video, Yu Jae Seok is introduced as a “Netflix veteran” but a “complete rookie when it comes to camping.” As the first-time boss of the campsite, he is constantly running around, earning the title of the camp’s ultimate busybody. Clips of him groaning, “I can’t do this anymore,” and “This is so chaotic,” hilariously foreshadow the hectic reality awaiting the team.
Lee Kwang Soo is introduced as the B&B’s head chef, but the teaser quickly casts doubt on his culinary expertise when he is caught secretly sprinkling mysterious ingredients—presumably MSG—into his cooking. True to form, he also keeps everyone entertained with his signature witty banter and even breaks out his iconic “mosquito dance.”
Meanwhile, Byeon Woo Seok is described as the team’s source of “healing energy,” though the teaser also labels him “gentle but hopelessly clumsy.” One hilarious scene shows him completely failing at chopping firewood, while the show also dubs him the team’s “official crybaby,” raising curiosity about what emotional moments might bring him to tears.
As the youngest member of the team, Ji Ye Eun effortlessly charms guests with her lovable and easygoing personality. Introduced as the camp’s mood-maker, she also proves herself to be impressively quick and capable, smoothly handling tasks around the campsite thanks to her previous experience in a similar role on “Kian’s Bizarre B&B.”
The teaser wraps up with all four members overwhelmed by their endless workload and lack of time. “We don’t even have time to make lunch,” Lee Kwang Soo complains, while Byeon Woo Seok adds, “We still need to go grocery shopping.” Ji Ye Eun jokingly protests, “So we’re not even allowed one iced latte?” before Yu Jae Seok sends everyone into laughter by declaring, “Let’s just go without brushing our teeth.” The teaser ends with the exhausted team burying their heads in frustration and screaming, perfectly previewing the nonstop chaos awaiting viewers.

Watch: Yu Jae Seok, Byeon Woo Seok, Lee Kwang Soo, And Ji Ye Eun Critique Each Other’s Dishes In “Jae Seok’s B&B Rules!”
“Jae Seok’s B&B Rules!” is gearing up to welcome guests!
Ahead of the premiere of “Jae Seok’s B&B Rules!” the four hosts gather together to taste test the B&B’s potential menu options.
First, Byeon Woo Seok offers his rolled omelette. The others jokingly start off by saying, “Don’t get offended,” as they prepare to give their honest food critiques. They conclude, “It’s just a plain rolled omelet,” taking a neutral stance.
Ji Ye Eun offers spicy stir-fried pork, which she proudly presents. Yu Jae Seok critiques honestly, “Don’t take this the wrong way. If a restaurant served me this, I wouldn’t go there again,” adding, “It’s good, but I wouldn’t want to come back for more.” Lee Kwang Soo jokingly only offers it a one and a half star review.
Although the cast playfully repeats, “Don’t be offended,” before tasting Lee Kwang Soo’s kimchi stew, the others only have positive compliments for his cooking.
Last but not least, the staff members taste Yu Jae Seok’s breakfast sandwich, which leaves the members in shock at how untasty it is. Lee Kwang Soo comments, “If I were to rank it, this would be in fourth place.” Laughing, Yu Jae Seok can’t help but agree after tasting his sandwich. As critiques continue to rain down, Yu Jae Seok hilariously cuts them off by suddenly reminding Byeon Woo Seok that it’s time for him to leave.

Whether you first noticed him through his charming second-lead roles or instantly fell for his heart-fluttering performances in recent dramas, Byeon Woo Seok has quickly become one of the industry’s fastest-rising stars. With his effortless charisma and visuals, it’s no surprise viewers can’t get enough of him. But beyond the swoon-worthy scenes, there’s actually a lot fans may not know about Byeon Woo Seok and his journey to stardom.
1. He couldn’t swim before “Lovely Runner”
Byeon Woo Seok had to learn how to swim in order to fully prepare for his role as Ryu Sun Jae in “Lovely Runner.” The actor shared that he practiced swimming almost every day for three months leading up to filming so he could realistically portray the character’s background as a swimmer.
2. His MBTI is INTJ
Byeon Woo Seok has shared in several interviews that he’s naturally introverted and a strong “T” personality type, meaning he tends to approach things in a logical and analytical way. He’s also known for being detail-oriented and thoughtful, often taking a moment to carefully think through his answers before responding to questions during interviews.
3. The number one thing on his bucket list is to travel the world
Before rising to stardom through “Lovely Runner,” Byeon Woo Seok didn’t have many opportunities to travel, so being able to see the world has become one of his biggest dreams.
4. He enlisted in the military before becoming an actor
Unlike a lot of Korean actors who choose to push back their mandatory military service until later in their careers, Byeon Woo Seok actually got it done before he fully stepped into acting. And that’s great news for fans since it means there won’t be a break in his career for enlistment. We can just enjoy his projects moving forward without having to wait for a long hiatus!
5. He won Best New Actor at the 2022 KBS Drama Awards
Byeon Woo Seok won the Best New Actor award for his role in “Moonshine.” He played Crown Prince Lee Pyo, a character that allowed him to show a more layered side to his acting. It was one of those breakout roles that really helped put him on the map, with viewers quickly taking notice of his screen presence and emotional depth.
6. His social media algorithm is very random
In an interview with Yu Jae Seok, Byeon Woo Seok revealed that his algorithm is filled with videos of AI-generated dancing animals and sword fights. He doesn’t get anything related to himself or Korean entertainment, which he prefers!

7. He has really bad eyesight
In an interview with his co-star IU, Byeon Woo Seok revealed that he has really poor eyesight but rarely wears glasses or contacts. IU was shocked to hear this, especially since she had asked him many times how she looked. Byeon Woo Seok explained that he’s so used to seeing the world in a blur that he doesn’t really feel the need to correct his vision.
8. He was rejected for a role even after the script reading
He once landed a major role in a K-drama, but the pressure to do well became overwhelming, and he struggled during the script reading. The next day, he received a call saying he would no longer be continuing with the role. Even so, Byeon Woo Seok was able to brush it off and keep moving forward in his career. It was a blessing in disguise as it led him to the biggest role in his career, which was for “Lovely Runner”!
9. He’s best friends with Hyeri and Gong Seung Yeon
It’s well known in the industry that Byeon Woo Seok and Gong Seung Yeon have been close friends for years, so fans are loving seeing them together in “Perfect Crown.” He’s also known to be good friends with Hyeri after the two met while filming “Moonshine.” Byeon Woo Seok once shared that he usually finds it hard to get close to people, but Hyeri made him feel comfortable right away because of how warm and welcoming she was. The two even joined an acting study group together and would regularly meet up outside of filming.

IU And Byeon Woo Seok Personally Apologize For Controversy Involving “Perfect Crown”
The leading actors of “Perfect Crown” have apologized for controversy involving the drama’s content.
Set in an alternate universe where modern-day Korea is a constitutional monarchy, “Perfect Crown” is a drama about the marriage between Seong Hui Ju (IU), a chaebol heiress who has everything but is only a commoner in status, and Grand Prince Ian (Byeon Woo Seok), a prince who has nothing despite being the son of the king.
Episode 11 of “Perfect Crown” that aired on May 15 faced criticism for depictions that made the drama’s setting—a constitutional monarchy of South Korea—appear as if it were a vassal state of China. The episode featured the coronation of Grand Prince Ian, the second son of the royal family, as the new King. During the ceremony, the subjects shouted “Cheonse” (a thousand years)—a term used by vassal states—instead of “Manse” (ten thousand years), which is the symbol of an independent nation. Furthermore, it was pointed out that Grand Prince Ian wore a guryumyeonryugwan (a crown worn by Chinese subjects) rather than the shipimyeonryugwan (a twelve-tasseled crown) worn by emperors of independent nations.
As the controversy grew, the production team issued an official apology on May 16, stating, “We take the criticism that we have undermined our nation’s sovereign status very seriously.”
On May 18, actors IU and Byeon Woo Seok took to their personal Instagram accounts to apologize for the controversy.
IU wrote the following post:
Hello.
This is IU, who played the role of Seong Hui Ju in “Perfect Crown.”
Over the past few days, I have carefully read each and every comment that many viewers left.
As a lead actor of the drama, I feel I failed to show a responsible attitude and ended up causing great disappointment, and I am deeply sorry. Even now, my heart feels very heavy.
Regarding the various issues of historical verification in the drama that viewers pointed out, I sincerely reflect and apologize—without excuse—for having gone into my acting without thinking more deeply about them.
Because this was a drama in which it was important to convey imagination grounded in our own history and the traditional beauty of Korea, I should have read the script more carefully and studied more as an actor, but I did not, and I am ashamed of myself for that. I did not have a proper sense of the issues in advance. I apologize.
Thank you to everyone who watched the drama until the end and did not hold back from speaking up.
I will always remember the valuable criticism and opinions you sent, and going forward, I will be IU who approaches projects with an even more cautious and thorough attitude. I apologize once again.
Byeon Woo Seok shared a handwritten letter about the matter:
Hello, this is actor Byeon Woo Seok.
Over the weekend, I was worried and concerned that my words might end up causing further harm. With a heavy heart, I am writing this to those who have felt discomfort and concern because of the drama.
In the process of filming and acting in this drama, I did not think enough about what the historical context and meaning contained in it were and how that might be received by the viewers. Through the words of the viewers, I have been led to reflect and look back on myself, and as an actor I have once again deeply taken to heart that I need to approach my work with greater responsibility—considering not only the acting but also the message and context carried by the production.
I sincerely apologize.
I would also like to thank once again everyone who has cared for “Perfect Crown” and Grand Prince Ian and offered advice. Going forward, I will become an actor who takes on projects with an even more cautious and thoughtful attitude. I apologize.

In the behind-the-scenes footage for episode 11, IU and Lee Yeon get playful between filming. Yoo Su Bin practices carrying Byeon Woo Seok by carrying the filming director instead. After successfully carrying Byeon Woo Seok out of the fire, Byeon Woo Seok laughs and asks if he looks like a drunk person instead.
While on the floor after pretending to faint, Byeon Woo Seok asks, “Is it okay to do an interview while lying down?” He comments that due to the cold weather, the set actually feels nice and warm.
IU and Byeon Woo Seok also create a heartwarming atmosphere on set while filming romantic scenes. After filming the scene where IU pouts and tears up, Byeon Woo Seok can’t help but laugh commenting, “Why so cute?”
