Mun Ka Young In Talks To Reunite With Cha Eun Woo In New Drama By “Bon Appétit, Your Majesty” Director

Mun Ka Young may be reuniting with Cha Eun Woo in a new drama!

On September 8, MyDaily reported that Mun Ka Young has been cast as the lead in the upcoming tvN drama “Seorabeol Knife” (literal title).

In response to the report, a representative from Mun Ka Young’s agency Fantagio shared, “She has received an offer to star in the new drama ‘Seorabeol Knife’ and is currently reviewing it.”

“Seorabeol Knife” is a cooking-themed romance drama about an Italian chef known as the “temptation of the Mediterranean” and a princess destined to become the sun of Seorabeol. The story follows the owner and head chef of a one-Michelin-star restaurant who time-slips to Silla after following a 1,000-year-old prophecy contained within a gold-plated honey box. There, he encounters a demanding gourmet princess who is the only seonggol )the highest social class in the Silla period) member of the royal family, and the two embark on a journey to discover the finest flavors in the land.

The drama will be directed by Jang Tae Yoo, who also helmed last year’s hit drama “Bon Appétit, Your Majesty,” which recorded a peak viewership rating of 17.1 percent.

Mun Ka Young has reportedly been offered the role of Princess Deokyeong, a seonggol member of the Silla royal family who dreams of becoming the kingdom’s first queen. Born into the pure royal bloodline, she is deeply religious and highly curious, with exceptional sensibilities for incense and cuisine as well as an unparalleled eye for calligraphy and painting.

Cha Eun Woo is currently in talks to star as the Italian chef who runs a one-Michelin-star restaurant.

If both actors confirm their appearances, Mun Ka Young and Cha Eun Woo will reunite seven years after starring together in the hit drama “True Beauty.”

“Seorabeol Knife” is currently in talks to air on tvN.

Cha Eun Woo Appeals Multibillion Won Tax Assessment That He Paid Earlier This Year

ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo has appealed a tax assessment by the National Tax Service several months after paying the taxes in question.

Earlier this year, it came to light that Cha Eun Woo had been investigated last year on suspicion of tax evasion, and it was reported that the National Tax Service had issued an additional tax assessment exceeding 20 billion won (approximately $13.9 million) in back taxes.

In April, the situation appeared to have been resolved when Cha Eun Woo paid the full amount of approximately 13 billion won (approximately $9 million) in back taxes demanded in the National Tax Service’s final notice.

At the time, Cha Eun Woo, who is currently serving in the military, shared a personal statement apologizing for the controversy and announcing that he had fully paid the related taxes. “I respect the procedures and findings of the National Tax Service, and to prevent any further confusion, I have fully paid the related taxes,” he wrote. “I will also diligently comply with any remaining procedures.”

However, on August 2, Cha Eun Woo’s agency Fantagio confirmed that the star had filed an appeal requesting a cancellation of the National Tax Service’s tax assessment.

“In order to obtain a legal ruling [on the matter], Cha Eun Woo has filed a request for a tax adjudication in accordance with legal procedures,” said Fantagio. “As the proceedings are currently ongoing, it is difficult for us to provide concrete details, and we ask for your understanding in this regard.”

Park Eun Bin, Cha Eun Woo, And More Get Caught Up In Incidents Against Their Wills In New Drama “The WONDERfools”

The quartet of “The WONDERfools”—Park Eun Bin, Cha Eun Woo, Choi Dae Hoon, and Im Seong Jae—faces off against those threatening their peace!

On May 6, Netflix released 15 official stills for their upcoming series “The WONDERfools,” previewing the turbulent events that will unfold before the four-member team from Haeseong City who unexpectedly acquired their powers.

First, the still of Eun Chae Ni (Park Eun Bin) standing in the middle of a snowy mountain with a bewildered facial expression amidst a group of fully equipped hikers captures the moment her teleportation powers are suddenly triggered.

Meanwhile, the image of Kang Ro Bin (Im Seong Jae) throwing a punch—only to look somewhat clumsy and uncoordinated—captures a moment perfectly fitting his nickname, the “Haeseong City Pushover.” It draws laughs and builds anticipation for how he will utilize his super strength, a power that stands in complete contrast to his timid personality.

Meanwhile, the still of Kim Jeon Bok (Kim Hae Sook) sitting at the counter of Keunson Restaurant counting stacks of cash offers a glimpse into the extraordinary charisma of a woman who, before being Chae Ni’s grandmother, was known as “King Jeon Bok,” a big player in the Myeongdong private lending world. She adds another layer of narrative to the show as a character who will risk anything to protect her granddaughter Chae Ni.

The sight of Ha Won Do (Son Hyun Joo), the chief director of the superpower research experiment Wunderkinder Project, inspecting an underground laboratory, along with the trio firmly supporting him—Seok Joo Ran (Jung Yi Seo), Seok Ho Ran (Choi Yoon Ji), and Kim Pal Ho (Bae Na Ra)—also draws attention. Watch: Park Eun Bin, Cha Eun Woo, And More Grapple With Superpowers To Fight Villains In New Drama “The WONDERfools” Teasers

Netflix’s upcoming drama “The WONDERfools” has unveiled a new poster and teaser!

In the main poster, Eun Chae Ni (Park Eun Bin), Lee Un Jeong (Cha Eun Woo), Son Gyeong Hun (Choi Dae Hoon), and Kang Ro Bin (Im Seong Jae) are running as they leave behind the chaos of Haeseong City. Under the tagline, “Lovable misfits will save the world,” the city is shown in complete disorder, with cars flying through the air and buildings and signs collapsing.

At the front is Eun Chae Ni, leading the group. Behind her is Lee Un Jeong, who uses telekinesis. Next is Son Gyeong Hun, holding a car steering wheel. At the back is Kang Ro Bin, with part of a wall wrapped around his arm.

Together, they use their unique superpowers and work as a team to save Haeseong from danger.

The teaser opens with Eun Chae Ni bleeding from the nose as she asks, “So I’m really going to die?”

Eun Chae Ni, known in Haeseong City as a troublemaker who once shouted that she wanted to see the end of the world, suddenly finds herself with the ability to teleport.

Elsewhere, Kang Ro Bin and Son Gyeong Hun struggle to adjust to daily life after unexpectedly gaining superpowers. In contrast, Lee Un Jeong appears fully in control, skillfully using telekinesis. After witnessing his abilities, Eun Chae Ni, Kang Ro Bin, and Son Gyeong Hun begin calling him “master.”

A voice then warns that people are disappearing just as they did 20 years ago. Dr. Ha Won Do (Son Hyun Joo) and three members of the so-called Wunderkinder also appear, deepening the mystery around who they are and what threat they may pose to Haeseong City.

The teaser closes with Eun Chae Ni saying, “It’s not that I’m nothing, I just haven’t done anything yet,” as the four of them face an approaching threat with growing resolve.

Park Eun Bin, Cha Eun Woo, And More Get Entangled In A Fight For Peace In New Action Comedy Drama “The WONDERfools”

Netflix’s upcoming drama “The WONDERfools” has unveiled new character stills!

The newly released stills capture Eun Chae Ni (Park Eun Bin), Son Gyeong Hun (Choi Dae Hoon), and Kang Ro Bin (Im Seong Jae), who find themselves with superpowers by surprise, as well as Lee Un Jeong (Cha Eun Woo), who becomes unintentionally entangled with them.

Chae Ni, the granddaughter of the family that owns Haeseong’s most popular Keunson Restaurant, has lived a life of giving up on everything due to a heart condition she has suffered from since childhood. Perhaps as a result, she grew up with a headstrong personality and is known as the “hot mess” of the city.

In the released stills, Chae Ni wears a bewildered facial expression, seemingly caught off guard by her teleportation ability that triggers at random moments, raising anticipation for the unpredictable situations that lie ahead.

Un Jeong, a special-hire civil servant at the Haeseong City civil complaints office with a mysterious past, is a psychic capable of using telekinesis. Just as he attempts to hide his powers and live a quiet life, he finds himself entangled with the trio from Haeseong City.

From his appearance as a civil servant in a suit and glasses to the moment he uses telekinesis while pulling his hat down low, Un Jeong’s multi-faceted nature builds tension regarding what secrets he might be hiding.

Gyeong Hun, who earned the nickname “Haeseong City’s biggest nuisance” for constantly filing all sorts of noisy complaints at City Hall, is shown looking puzzled at the pot lids stuck to both of his hands. His facial expression sparks curiosity about how he will utilize his seemingly useless “stickiness” ability.

Meanwhile, the scene where Ro Bin—known as “Haeseong City’s biggest pushover” due to his timid and soft-hearted nature—effortlessly lifts a police car clearly demonstrates that he has acquired “superhuman strength,” a power that stands in complete contrast to his personality.
