“Still Shining” depicts the story of Soon Ok (Kim Hye Ja), who reunites with her best friend Jung Im (Cha Mi Kyung) after 60 years—a friend with whom she shared the most brilliant moments of her life.

Kim Hye Ja Reunites With Childhood Friend Cha Mi Kyung With Lee Se Young As Her Granddaughter In “Still Shining”
The upcoming film “Still Shining” has unveiled new stills ahead of its premiere.
“Still Shining” depicts the story of Soon Ok (Kim Hye Ja), who reunites with her best friend Jung Im (Cha Mi Kyung) after 60 years—a friend with whom she shared the most brilliant moments of her life.
The newly released stills offer a glimpse of the special bond between Soon Ok and Jung Im, which stretches from their childhood to the present day.
In the stills, young Soon Ok (Park Seo Kyung) and Jung Im (Choi Ju Eun) are best friends who share their dreams and passions while enjoying the most radiant years of their youth. One particularly touching image shows the two pressing their arms together—a gesture that served as a symbol of their friendship in childhood. At the same time, it also remains to be seen what caused the two friends to be separated for so many years.
The stills also introduce Soon Ok’s granddaughter Ji An (Lee Se Young), who has remained by her grandmother’s side. Raised by her grandmother from a young age, Ji An is a reliable companion to Soon Ok, and their warm gazes and affectionate interactions hint at their close relationship.
Young Soon Ok and Jung Im are also joined by Do Young (Moon Seong Hyun), who has recently moved to their village, as they share their dreams and passions. The scenes of the three together capture the youthful and radiant atmosphere of their younger years, bringing a smile to viewers’ faces.
However, their peaceful everyday lives soon take an unexpected turn. As unsettling rumors begin to spread throughout the village, tension creeps into Soon Ok and Jung Im’s expressions. Their pained expressions hint at an impending crisis and painful memories that have long remained buried, raising further curiosity about their story.
“Still Shining” is slated to hit theaters in October 2026.

Kim Hye Ja’s upcoming film “Still Shining” has unveiled its first poster and teaser!
“Still Shining” depicts the story of Soon Ok (Kim Hye Ja), who reunites with her best friend after 60 years—a friend with whom she shared the most brilliant moments of her life. The film has been officially invited to the “Korean Cinema Today – Panorama” section of the 31st Busan International Film Festival.
The newly released poster features Soon Ok’s warm gaze and delicate touch. The image of Soon Ok and young Jung Im (Choi Ju Eun), once each other’s most cherished friends, gazing at one another conveys the memories and emotions the two have held onto over the 60 years they have spent apart.
The accompanying teaser opens with Soon Ok’s voice-over: “Each day passes painfully slowly, but 10 or 20 years go by in the blink of an eye.” Soon Ok and Jung Im (Cha Mi Kyung), who reunite after 60 years apart, are excited as they prepare to travel to Seoul to take part in a singing competition, a dream they shared as children. However, the sight of Soon Ok feeling heartbroken as she watches Jung Im gradually lose her memory hints at what happened to the two women.
The trailer also reveals Soon Ok and Jung Im as children. A scene where Young Soon Ok (Park Seo Kyung), Jung Im, and Doo Young (Moon Seong Hyun) spend time together by a stream evokes memories of their youth. Meanwhile, Soon Ok hiding somewhere and keeping watch, along with Jung Im tearfully saying, “I’ll be right back,” foreshadows the hardships that await them. Adding to the anticipation is Ji An (Lee Se Young), Soon Ok’s granddaughter, who appears gazing at something with mixed emotions.

Kong Hyo Jin stars as Yu Bo Na, the seemingly ordinary manager of Sales Team 3 at Durumi Electronics, who is secretly the legendary sniper known as “Kingfisher.”

Unable to shake off the image of her sullen daughter, Yu Bo Na eventually took a half-day off and headed to the kids’ café. Her struggle to find a balance between work and parenting has resonated with viewers.

Park Eun Bin Gets Grilled By Yang Se Jong’s Grandmother In “Spooky In Love”
Park Eun Bin is in for an unexpected “interrogation” on the next episode of “Spooky in Love”!
A remake of the 2011 film “Spellbound,” tvN’s “Spooky in Love” is an occult romance drama about the chaotic partnership between a hotel heiress who can see ghosts and a passionate prosecutor who is terrified of them.
Spoilers
On the previous episode of “Spooky in Love,” Cheon Yeo Ri (Park Eun Bin), who had been facing pressure from her grandmother to get engaged to Kang Min Hwan (Ong Seong Wu), shocked everyone by suddenly introducing Ma Gang Wook (Yang Se Jong) as her fiancé at a family gathering.
In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming episode, it now appears to be Cheon Yeo Ri’s turn to meet the “in-laws.” While escorting a drunk Ma Gang Wook home, Cheon Yeo Ri is caught by his grandmother Paeng Myo Soon (Cha Mi Kyung), leading to an impromptu vetting session that she wasn’t prepared for.
Cheon Yeo Ri, who arrives at Ma Gang Wook’s home together with his work colleague Go Pil Dong (Lee Chang Hoon), is clearly caught off guard by the appearance of his grandmother. But in contrast to the flustered Cheon Yeo Ri, who wears an awkward smile, Paeng Myo Sun’s gaze is both intensely curious and somewhat wary as she inspects the woman who has brought her grandson home.
Cheon Yeo Ri, who was planning to return to her own home after dropping Ma Gang Wook off, winds up being cornered by the excited Paeng Myo Sun, who has long been curious about her grandson’s love life.
The two women ultimately sit down for a conversation at Ma Gang Wook’s house, where Paeng Myo Sun seizes the opportunity to bombard Cheon Yeo Ri with an unending barrage of questions.
To find out what happens during this relentless “interrogation,” catch the next episode of “Spooky in Love” on August 8 at 9:10 p.m. KST!

Watch: Kong Hyo Jin Eliminates Criminals As Legendary Assassin While Husband Jung Jun Won Closes In On Her Secret In “A Bona Fide Killer”
“A Bona Fide Killer” has unveiled a new teaser!
“A Bona Fide Killer” is an action drama about a working mother with a lethal job who is fighting to protect her work-life balance. Kong Hyo Jin stars as Yu Bo Na, the seemingly ordinary manager of Sales Team 3 at Durumi Electronics, who is also secretly the legendary sniper known as “Kingfisher.”
The newly released teaser opens with Yu Bo Na’s calm remark, “Let’s do it during the day,” as she then coolly aims a sniper rifle from a rooftop. When her team leader Kim Bong Pal (Sung Dong Il) asks, “Is it strategically better to do it during the day?” Yu Bo Na casually replies, “No, it’s because I have to pick up my child,” creating a humorous contrast between her deadly profession and her everyday life as a mother.
The teaser then highlights Yu Bo Na’s fierce charisma as she sets out to eliminate a recently released criminal, accompanied by her ominous line, “May the happiest day of his life become the day of his funeral.”
However, the mood quickly shifts when a phone call from her mother-in-law sends Yu Bo Na rushing home. In stark contrast to her fearless assassin persona, she quietly bows her head as she endures the harsh scolding of her stern and abrasive mother-in-law Ok Sun Ja (Cha Mi Kyung).
Meanwhile, Kwon Tae Sung (Jung Jun Won) proves himself to be the model of a devoted husband. He affectionately embraces his wife and, when his domineering mother causes a scene by throwing food, he shields Yu Bo Na with his body. Standing up to his mother, he firmly declares, “She’s my precious wife. So please never treat my wife or my family carelessly again.”
At the same time, Tae Sung’s determination as a reporter adds another layer of tension. As he relentlessly investigates crime scenes, questioning whether each case is murder or merely an accident, he has earned the nickname “Kingfisher expert” for his relentless pursuit of the truth behind the legendary sniper Kingfisher. His investigation gradually brings him closer to uncovering the true identity of the person he loves most—his own wife.
Detective Lee Dong Jin (Lee Sang Yi) also springs into action after learning that Kingfisher has resurfaced. While reassuring his best friend Tae Sung, “I’ll protect your kind wife and adorable Yul,” he simultaneously vows, “Welcome back, Kingfisher,” as he relentlessly pursues the elusive sniper. Unaware that the criminal he is hunting is actually someone he has sworn to protect, Dong Jin closes in on Kingfisher, foreshadowing the tangled fate that awaits them.
The teaser ends by introducing a series of criminals Yu Bo Na has set her sights on. As her daughter Kwon Yul (Hwang Bom Yi) innocently asks, “Mom, what do you do for work?” Yu Bo Na quietly replies, “Something the world needs.”
