Ahn Eun Jin Talks About Why She Chose To Star In “A Love Other Than Yours” And Chemistry With Seo Kang Jun
Ahn Eun Jin has shared her thoughts on the upcoming drama “A Love Other Than Yours”!
“A Love Other Than Yours” is a realistic romance drama that follows a couple in their 10th year of dating as they experience unexpected emotional changes in a relationship that once felt familiar.
Explaining why she chose “A Love Other Than Yours,” Ahn Eun Jin said, “It is not a beautiful fairy tale but a story about realistic dating, love, and growth that explores the inner lives of people that anyone can relate to regardless of generation or era. In many romance dramas, we often see love that makes beautiful and right choices, but this drama is different. It delves into the emotions that you absolutely never want to be discovered in detail.”
Regarding her chemistry with Seo Kang Jun, she remarked, “I thought it would only be convincing if there wasn’t even the slightest awkwardness between the two characters. So we did a lot of group readings before filming, and we also made an effort to get to know each other on a personal level and become comfortable with each other.”
“A Love Other Than Yours” will premiere on September 12 at 9:20 p.m. KST.

Seo Kang Jun Talks About Why He Chose To Star In “A Love Other Than Yours,” His Character, And Chemistry With Ahn Eun Jin
Seo Kang Jun has shared his thoughts on his upcoming drama “A Love Other Than Yours”!
“A Love Other Than Yours” is a realistic romance drama that follows a couple in their 10th year of dating as they experience unexpected emotional changes in a relationship that once felt familiar.
Seo Kang Jun plays Namgoong Ho, who has spent 10 years looking only at one person, Lee Mi Do (Ahn Eun Jin), while dreaming of a happy future together.
When Seo Kang Jun was first introduced to the project, he revealed that “the first thing that caught my eye was the character of Namgoong Ho.” He explained that he “is delicate and kind but has a sense of cool-headedness that comes from his strong inner self. He compromises with reality but never crosses a certain line. Rather than feeling like a carefully designed character, he felt like a person who could actually be living somewhere.”
Explaining why he chose the project, he said, “A series usually allows you to experience fantasy or fill a sense of lack, but ‘A Love Other Than Yours’ is connected to reality. I became more immersed in it because it is our story, depicting life and growth through the universal theme of love.”
The keyword for the kind of love Namgoong Ho pursues is “sacrifice.” Seo Kang Jun described him as “someone who goes to work, saves money and endures a certain degree of the absurdities of reality all for his future with Lee Mi Do. He is a self-sacrificing person who would do anything for his partner.”
The actor expressed Namgoong Ho’s emotions in an understated manner, saying, “I tried not to make my expressions too big. I wanted Namgoong Ho’s deep thoughts and concerns to be conveyed through his eyes rather than his words, and I constantly thought about the emotions and life that were not written in the script.”
Regarding his romantic chemistry with Ahn Eun Jin, he expressed satisfaction, saying, “The phrase ‘we just click’ was the first thing that came to mind. We talked a lot about expressing the comfort unique to a long-term couple who can understand each other without having to say anything. Even in scenes that required emotional depth, our interpretations were remarkably spot-on. I felt reassured and happy every time we acted together.”
Seo Kang Jun said, “It is a drama that anyone who has been in love can deeply immerse themselves in through emotions such as jealousy, relationship fatigue, love-hate, understanding and sacrifice. The struggles one might face amid familiarity and relationship fatigue, as well as the deep history of a long-term couple who cannot escape each other despite it all, will touch viewers’ hearts and make them root for the couple.”
“A Love Other Than Yours” will premiere on September 12 at 9:20 p.m. KST.

Lee Jun Young plays Choi Jeong Yo, a tragic genius pianist. He is a character with exceptional musical talent who gave up the piano after facing the harsh realities of life. After losing his mother at a young age, he became the sole caretaker of his alcoholic father, becoming the breadwinner of his family while still a kid himself. “Four Hands, Two Sonatas” is Lee Jun Young’s final project before enlisting in the military. Lee Jun Young, who has always loved music, revealed that music was another reason why he chose to star in the drama. He shared, “‘Four Hands, Two Sonatas’ was also a project with the appealing subject of music, which I had always been interested in.” He added, “That gave me a strong desire to challenge myself and explore it more deeply as an actor, so I chose the drama without hesitation.”

Lee Jun Young revealed that he was practically unfamiliar with classical music, but while preparing for the role of Choi Jeong Yo, he naturally began searching for and listening to classical music. He remarked, “While playing Choi Jeong Yo and figuring out the character’s emotions, I naturally found myself listening to classical music. Finally, Lee Jun Young honestly shared his hopes for the role, saying, “Through the character of Choi Jeong Yo, I want to hear people say, ‘So this actor can pull off a role like this, too.’” He added, “It would be truly meaningful if I could be recognized as an actor who doesn’t limit himself and can portray a wide range of roles.”

Park Ji Hoon Talks About Why He Chose To Star In “The Legend Of Kitchen Soldier,” Role Preparation, And More
Park Ji Hoon has shared his thoughts on the upcoming drama “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier”!
Based on a popular web novel and webtoon, “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier” is a military fantasy-comedy drama that tells the story of army cook Kang Sung Jae (Park Ji Hoon). When a mysterious quest window pops up in front of him one day, Private Kang Sung Jae begins an unexpected journey that will lead him down the path toward becoming a legendary cook.
Park Ji Hoon, well-known as a “military enthusiast,” has been cast as Kang Sung Jae, a soldier assigned to the kitchen. He has heightened anticipation for the project by sharing behind-the-scenes stories, ranging from his reasons for choosing the role to his preparation process.
Park Ji Hoon said, “I had always wanted to try wearing a military uniform in a project, and I also wanted to take on a new challenge. I found it particularly interesting that the character Kang Sung Jae is someone who builds his own standing while adapting to an unfamiliar environment. Furthermore, the process of him earning trust within the unit and making friends through his amazing skills was very appealing to me.”
He added, “I even took cooking lessons before filming to convincingly portray the unique profession of a kitchen soldier. As I learned to cook one dish after another, my knife skills gradually improved,” further raising expectations for his performance.
As the character Kang Sung Jae is set to level up his cooking skills by completing quests, the role required a unique approach to acting. Regarding this, Park Ji Hoon explained, “I wanted to express a character who gradually grows by utilizing the ‘Guardian,’ a virtual quest-giver that appears in the drama. I paid extra attention to my facial expressions, such as shifting my gaze as if the character were actually standing right in front of me.”
As for the key points to watch, Park Ji Hoon shared his hopes, saying, “I hope you will watch how Kang Sung Jae builds relationships with various characters and grows throughout the story as well as the chemistry he creates along the way. I also hope you take an interest in the character’s transformation as he gradually grows by utilizing the intriguing concept of the ‘Guardian.’”
