“Agent Kim Reactivated” star Choi Dae Hoon has been confirmed for a new drama!

On July 20, a media outlet reported that Choi Dae Hoon has decided to join the cast of “Buy King” (working title) and is currently filming while simultaneously working on the drama “Unshakable Forties’ Romance” (literal translation).

In response to the report, his agency ACE FACTORY stated, “Choi Dae Hoon will appear in the new drama ‘Buy King’ as the character Michael.”

Set against the backdrop of a Korean chaebol family, “Buy King” depicts the breakups and realignments within the conglomerate clan as they wage a succession war worth tens of billions of won. Previosly, it was reported that actors Lee Junho and Ju Ji Hoon are in talks to star in the drama.

Choi Dae Hoon’s character Michael is a bodyguard-turned-chief secretary who stays by Han Ji Yeol, the chairman of BK Holdings. Han Ji Yeol is the character that Lee Junho is in talks to play.

Lee Do Hyun Confirmed To Star Alongside Lee Byung Hun And Go Youn Jung In Upcoming Historical Action Film

Lee Do Hyun has officially joined the cast of the upcoming film “Nambeol” (romanized title)!

On July 20, a media outlet reported that Lee Do Hyun had been cast in the film “Nambeol.”

In response to the report, the film’s production company Hive Media Corp officially confirmed Lee Do Hyun’s casting.

Set in the early Joseon dynasty, “Nambeol” is a hard-boiled martial arts action film that follows nine warriors of varying abilities and social ranks as they travel to Tsushima Island to rescue captives who have been abducted by Japanese pirates.

Earlier, Lee Byung Hun was confirmed to star as Im Eok, the leader of the group of warriors, while Go Youn Jung will play the strong-willed and independent Ae Ryeong.

Lee Do Hyun will take on the role of Bo Gyeong, a warrior who leads the punitive force at the forefront of the story. Bo Gyeong is a highly skilled fighter and the loyal right-hand man of Im Eok. The character is expected to showcase both intense action and strong camaraderie, making him a multidimensional figure.

The film will be directed by Lee Mo Gae, who is making his feature directorial debut. Lee Mo Gae and Lee Do Hyun previously worked together on “Exhuma,” with Lee Mo Gae serving as the cinematographer. Their strong working relationship from that project is said to have contributed to Lee Do Hyun’s casting in the film.

CIX’s Hyunsuk is officially joining the cast of “Study Group 2”!

On July 13, MyDaily reported that Hyunsuk had been cast as Ji Young Hyun in “Study Group 2” and was already filming. In the original webtoon, Ji Young Hyun serves as the season’s main antagonist.

The following day, TVING confirmed the news, stating, “It is true that Hyunsuk will appear in ‘Study Group 2.’ He is currently filming.”

Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Study Group” is a high school action-comedy about Youn Ga Min (Hwang Minhyun), a student who dreams of excelling academically but is only gifted in fighting. At a high school notorious for being one of the worst in the world, he forms a study group and dives into the ruthless world of college entrance exams. A romance reality show with a new format is coming!

SBS’s new variety show “Love Against Time” is a romance reality program where young people in their 20s and 30s who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness or have had near-death experiences face life and love once again.

Starting from the profound question, “If I didn’t have much time left, who would I love?” the program focuses on “love in the present.” Notably, “Love Against Time” introduces a unique matching system where men and women exchange “time” with each other every night.

Actress Lee Se Young, CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa, SEVENTEEN’s DK, and Yena have teamed up as studio MCs.

Producing director Lee Eun Sol, who directed “Fortune Tellers’ Love,” will be in charge of directing “Love Against Time.” Lee Eun Sol stated, “I wanted to sincerely capture the extraordinary and special sincerity of young people, who know the finiteness of life better than anyone else, as they love as passionately and brilliantly as they can during the time they are given.”

Park Ji Hyun Confirmed To Reunite With Song Joong Ki In New Romance Drama

Park Ji Hyun will be starring alongside Song Joong Ki in the upcoming KBS drama “Love Cloud” (literal title)!

On July 9, KBS2 announced, “The new weekend miniseries ‘Love Cloud’ will premiere in 2027. Actors Song Joong Ki and Park Ji Hyun have been confirmed for the cast.” Song Joong Ki was previously confirmed to join the cast in May.

“Love Cloud” is a disaster romance centered on Kang Woo Joo (Song Joong Ki), an air traffic controller who can see his former lover’s emotions through the weather, and Ahn Ha Ni (Park Ji Hyun), a pilot cursed with a condition in which her emotional state becomes the weather. The series portrays the turbulent emotions of love, much like the ever-changing and unpredictable weather. It will be directed by Song Min Yeop of “High Cookie” and “Youth of May.”

Song Joong Ki will play Kang Woo Joo, an air traffic controller and former flight instructor. Once renowned for his exceptional skills and nicknamed the “Mad Captain,” he gave up flying and settled on Jeju Island, where he now works as an air traffic controller. As the ace of the control tower, he possesses sharp judgment and fluent English skills, but on his days off, his only hobby is watching the clouds. One day, however, his life is upended by the sudden appearance of Ahn Ha Ni.

Park Ji Hyun will take on the role of Ahn Ha Ni, a pilot whose emotions cause the weather to change. A workaholic who never shies away from difficult assignments in pursuit of a promotion, she is cursed after an unexpected accident leaves her emotions reflected in the weather. As if that were not enough, reuniting with her ex-boyfriend Kang Woo Joo stirs up the feelings she had long kept buried.

Song Joong Ki remarked, “When I first read the script, I found the concept of Ahn Ha Ni’s emotions being connected to clouds very intriguing. I’m glad to be working with Park Ji Hyun again, and I think we’ll be able to showcase great synergy once again.”

Park Ji Hyun said, “While reading the script, I laughed, cried, and became deeply immersed, so I couldn’t let go of the tension. I’m truly happy to be part of ‘Love Cloud,’ and I will grow alongside Ahn Ha Ni and do my best to deliver a pleasant sense of excitement to viewers.”

TWICE’s Sana is set to take on her first acting role!

On July 8, a media outlet reported that Sana will star in the new film “Nyangi” (literal title).

In response to the report, Sana’s agency JYP Entertainment confirmed, “Sana will star as a lead in the film ‘Nyangi.’”

ATEEZ’s Yunho Confirmed To Have Broken Up With Longtime Girlfriend

ATEEZ’s agency has confirmed that Yunho has parted ways with his longtime girlfriend.

On July 8, MHN Sports reported that Yunho had ended his long-term relationship with his non-celebrity girlfriend approximately three months ago. According to the report, sources close to Yunho claimed that the two had been friends since their school days before developing a romantic relationship, and because they had known each other for such a long time, the breakup is said to have been difficult.
