SEVENTEEN Officially Finalizes Contract Renewals With PLEDIS Entertainment

As they announced at their 10th anniversary fan meeting event last April, all members of SEVENTEEN have officially renewed their contracts with PLEDIS Entertainment!

On July 13, PLEDIS Entertainment released an official statement, announcing that all 13 members have once again renewed their contracts.

Hello.
This is PLEDIS Entertainment.
The members of SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino) have agreed to renew their contracts with PLEDIS Entertainment for a second time. We are delighted to once again announce our continued journey with all 13 members. The contract renewal process has been completed for all members with the exception of those currently carrying out their military service, and the remaining members will be completing the process in alignment with their respective military service conditions.

Since their debut in 2015, SEVENTEEN has built a distinctive musical identity rooted in their “self-producing” approach. Following an early contract renewal in 2021, they have achieved a series of extraordinary milestones on the global stage, setting unprecedented records and multiple K-pop firsts as they have grown into artists who “will go down in history.” SEVENTEEN’s strong teamwork and fearless approach to new challenges have served as an inspiration not only to us but also to junior artists.

SEVENTEEN does not promise “eternity” lightly. Rather, the artists show their dedication to it every day through their passion and hard work. It is an honor to be able to start another new chapter together. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the members for their continued trust in and alignment with our vision. We are also deeply grateful to CARATs (SEVENTEEN’s official fan club name), who have always stood as a steadfast pillar of support for SEVENTEEN.

PLEDIS Entertainment will continue to provide full and strategic support for SEVENTEEN’s group, unit, and individual activities. We are dedicated to our role as a reliable partner and collaborator, and will be working to ensure that each member can further showcase their individuality and capabilities, and that the group’s positive energy can reach an even wider global audience.
Furthermore, we look forward to the day when the members complete their mandatory military service and stand before you again as a complete group of 13. We will continue to do our best in preparation for the successful resumption of full-group activities.

We ask for your continued interest and support for SEVENTEEN as they continue their journey toward eternity.

Thank you.

IU And Byeon Woo Seok Face The Fallout Of Their Leaked Marriage Contract In “Perfect Crown”

Will IU and Byeon Woo Seok be able to weather the storm that’s coming their way on “Perfect Crown”?

Set in an alternate universe where modern-day Korea is a constitutional monarchy, MBC’s “Perfect Crown” tells the love story of Seong Hui Ju (IU), a chaebol heiress who has everything but is only a commoner in status, and Grand Prince Ian (Byeon Woo Seok), a prince who has nothing despite being the son of the king.

Spoilers

On the previous episode of “Perfect Crown,” Seong Hui Ju and Grand Prince Ian paid a visit to their alma mater, the place where they met for the first time years ago. However, while they were there, the contract they drew up before their marriage was leaked to the press, making the entire nation aware of the fact that their union is a contract marriage.

Newly released stills from the drama’s next episode show Seong Hui Ju and Grand Prince Ian being interrogated by Queen Mother Yoon Irang (Gong Seung Yeon).

Not only Seong Hui Ju and Grand Prince Ian, but also their aides Choi Hyun (Yoo Su Bin) and Do Hye Jung (Lee Yeon)—who were aware of their scheme—look uneasy as they face Yoon Irang’s questioning and icy glare.

As Yoon Irang has been wary of Ian as a potential threat to her son, who became king at a young age, she will use this scandal as an opportunity to lessen his power and standing, accusing him of betraying the public’s trust and tarnishing the honor of the royal family.

To find out how Seong Hui Ju and Ian will handle this crisis, catch the next episode of “Perfect Crown” on May 8 at 9:50 p.m. KST!

Court Rules In Favor Of FANTASY BOYS Members And BAE173’s Doha For Contract Suspension + Agency Responds

The court has ruled in favor of the six FANTASY BOYS members and BAE173’s Doha who filed injunctions to suspend contracts with their agency PocketDol Studio.

Back in November 2025, BAE173’s Doha along with FANTASY BOYS’ Kang Minseo, Lee Hanbin, Hikaru, Hong Sungmin, Kim Gyurae, and Kaedan filed lawsuits against PocketDol Studio seeking confirmation of the non-existence of their exclusive contracts and injunctions to suspend their validity.

On April 16, the court ruled to grant the injunctions to suspend the exclusive contracts of the six FANTASY BOYS members. While the court acknowledged that the agency had provided statements regarding payment for the first and second quarters of 2025, it identified the lack of specificity in income details and the failure to attach supporting documents as the primary causes for the breakdown of trust.

Following the court ruling, FANTASY BOYS’ agencies PocketDol Studio and Phunky Studio announced their intention to immediately appeal the decision, stating, “The practical realities of entertainment management and the contract fulfillment process were not sufficiently considered,” and added that the judgment “focused only on certain procedural requirements.”

It was additionally revealed on April 21 that the court also granted the injunction filed by Doha against PocketDol Studio.

Regarding the decision, Doha took to his Instagram to share the following message:

Hello, this is Na Gyu Min.

Thank you for waiting for such a long time without a word.
And I apologize for reaching out so late.

As this was a period of time that held great significance for me, I have been feeling a mix of many emotions lately.

Through the recent court decision, I have been able to move past the situation that had brought everything to a standstill.
Now, I intend to move forward once again.

I will work to show you what I have been preparing as soon as possible.

I will also do my best to greet you from my rightful place once again.

Thank you.

Chen, Baekhyun, And Xiumin Reportedly Notify INB100 Of Contract Termination

Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin have reportedly moved to terminate their contracts with INB100.

On April 10, THE FACT reported that Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin sent a formal notice in late March to INB100 CEO Cha Ga Won, informing her of their intent to terminate their exclusive contracts while requesting clarification regarding unpaid settlements and other alleged contract violations. Despite allowing an additional two weeks for a response, the trio reportedly did not receive a satisfactory explanation and ultimately decided to proceed with the termination.

In response to the report, Cha Ga Won’s side stated, “We are working to normalize the company. We will do our best to resolve the situation, whether through additional investment or by using personal funds.”

INB100 is a company Baekhyun established while preparing to become independent from SM Entertainment. In May 2024, it was incorporated as a subsidiary of ONE HUNDRED, a company founded by Cha Ga Won and MC Mong. Cha Ga Won later became the largest shareholder, overseeing INB100 alongside ONE HUNDRED and Big Planet Made Entertainment.

Prior to Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin, several artists under Cha Ga Won—including nine members of THE BOYZ from ONE HUNDRED, as well as Taemin, Lee Mujin, BE’O, VIVIZ, and Lee Seung Gi from Big Planet Made Entertainment—had also notified the company of their contract terminations.

Cha Ga Won is currently facing three fraud allegations. She is suspected of signing contracts involving the use of her artists’ intellectual property and receiving large advance payments without carrying out the related business. Police are reportedly consolidating the cases and continuing their investigation.

Stay tuned for updates.
