“Agent Kim Reactivated” star Choi Dae Hoon has been confirmed for a new drama!
On July 20, a media outlet reported that Choi Dae Hoon has decided to join the cast of “Buy King” (working title) and is currently filming while simultaneously working on the drama “Unshakable Forties’ Romance” (literal translation).
In response to the report, his agency ACE FACTORY stated, “Choi Dae Hoon will appear in the new drama ‘Buy King’ as the character Michael.”
Set against the backdrop of a Korean chaebol family, “Buy King” depicts the breakups and realignments within the conglomerate clan as they wage a succession war worth tens of billions of won. Previosly, it was reported that actors Lee Junho and Ju Ji Hoon are in talks to star in the drama.
Choi Dae Hoon’s character Michael is a bodyguard-turned-chief secretary who stays by Han Ji Yeol, the chairman of BK Holdings. Han Ji Yeol is the character that Lee Junho is in talks to play.

On the previous episode of “The Husband,” Kang Tae Joo (Namkoong Min) discovered a decisive clue about the identity of his wife’s kidnapper Noh Man Hee (Kim Dae Myeung). The episode ended with Go Se Yoon (Lee Seol) throwing an hourglass at Noh Man Hee and attempting to escape.
Newly released stills from the drama’s next episode capture the suspenseful chase that unfolds when Go Se Yoon breaks out of confinement and makes a run for it across a frozen lake. As she flees for her life, the unsteady Go Se Yoon races across the slippery ice while burning with determination to survive at all costs.
Meanwhile, even as he bleeds from the head wound caused by the hourglass she threw at him, Noh Man Hee relentlessly chases Go Se Yoon across the ice with a chilling smile.
Praising both actors’ performances, the drama’s production team remarked, “Both Kim Dae Myeung and Lee Seol fully brought out their characters’ emotions, including [Noh Man Hee’s] murderous madness and [Go Se Yoon’s] extreme terror and anxiety, through their in-depth acting.”

Previously on “Agent Kim Reactivated,” Manager Kim, Sung Han Soo (Choi Dae Hoon), and Park Jin Chul (Yoon Kyung Ho) embarked on a life-or-death rescue operation to save Min Ji (Seo Su Min), who had been captured by the Special Missions Bureau. After an intense standoff, Manager Kim finally came face-to-face with Min Ji and quietly said, “Min Ji, dad is here. Let’s go home now.”
In the upcoming episode, Manager Kim, Sung Han Soo, and Park Jin Chul continue their desperate escape operation to safely get Min Ji out after being completely surrounded by the Special Missions Bureau’s suppression team.
In particular, while Manager Kim is subduing Deputy Minister of National Security (Im Chul Hyung), Min Ji, who has been trembling in extreme fear, approaches her father. Holding onto Manager Kim’s back, Min Ji bursts into tears with a terrified expression, and Manager Kim comforts his daughter without letting down his guard as he holds back his overwhelming emotions.
Meanwhile, Sung Han Soo and Park Jin Chul surround the two and provide flawless cover. However, as the suppression team’s encirclement tightens and the standoff continues with gunfire potentially erupting again at any moment, the extreme tension reaches new heights. Viewers are eager to find out whether the trio can break through the battlefield filled with gunfire and escape safely with Min Ji.

Previously in “The Husband,” Kang Tae Joo (Namkoong Min) broke through the police dragnet and joined forces with Lee Soo Hyung (Park Byung Eun). Together, they staged a counterattack preview on the monitor of Noh Man Hee (Kim Dae Myeung), the kidnapper of Go Se Yoon (Lee Seol), who is hiding somewhere.
The upcoming episode will feature Kang Tae Joo’s meticulous counterattack plan after the counterattack preview.
In the stills, Kang Tae Joo arrives on the rooftop carrying a large bag and a black hard case, then meticulously checks various communication devices and equipment one by one as he continues his preparations.
The tension rises when Kang Tae Joo piles up the 3 billion won (approximately $2 million) in cash he took from his parents-in-law, pours oil over it, and attempts to set it on fire. Viewers are left wondering whether he will truly burn the huge sum of money to save his kidnapped wife and whether his unexpected counterattack against Noh Man Hee will succeed.
Portraying a tense psychological battle with the kidnapper, Namkoong Min commands the scene with a determined gaze and a weighty tone of voice, capturing Kang Tae Joo’s transformation from a fugitive into a pursuer.

When asked if Min Ji’s (Seo Su Min) singing skills is based on genetics, So Ji Sub playfully answers, “I don’t think she’s taken after me. On the previous episode of “The Husband,” Kim Dae Myeung left a strong impression on viewers as Noh Man Hee, the ruthless man who kidnapped Go Se Yoon (Lee Seol). When Go Se Yoon’s mother offered him 3 billion won (approximately $2 million) for the return of her daughter, the offer only served to provoke his rage, leading him to strangle Go Se Yoon while her loved ones watched in horror. Noh Man Hee then sent an incriminating video of Kang Tae Joo (Namkoong Min) to the police, making him the primary suspect in the investigation.
The upcoming third and fourth episodes of the drama will depict Noh Man Hee’s chilling duality in even further detail. A two-faced villain hiding in plain sight, Noh Man Hee seems on the surface to be a friendly guy who takes care of his neighbors, whether helping an elderly woman by fixing her computer or smiling warmly while waiting for his food at a restaurant.
