“kiDnap GAME” Director Talks Lee Joon Gi And Sakaguchi Kentaro’s Chemistry And The Drama’s Deadly Game

The director of the upcoming drama “kiDnap GAME” has shared more insights into the series.

“kiDnap GAME” is a thriller centered on an unprecedented kidnapping case that unfolds simultaneously across seven Asian cities—Seoul, Tokyo, Taipei, Singapore, Bangkok, Naha, and Manila. The story follows seven individuals who are each given different missions and forced into a deadly survival game, where they must complete their assignments before anyone else in order to save their loved ones and survive.

Ahead of the drama’s premiere, director Yusuke Kato, who helmed the series, personally introduced the project, from its starting point to the chemistry between its two leads.

Director Yusuke Kato explained, “Kidnappings occur simultaneously in seven Asian cities, and mysterious messages are sent to the victims’ families, marking the beginning of a brutal survival game.” He continued, “The question of ‘How far would you go to save someone you love?’ runs throughout the entire series.”

The choices made by the participants are also a key element that drives the story. Director Yusuke Kato explained that even seemingly insignificant choices can lead to irreversible consequences in unexpected ways, adding that the series captures the choices and beliefs of people pushed into extreme situations.

He also expressed satisfaction with Sakaguchi Kentaro and Lee Joon Gi’s chemistry. “Their chemistry was excellent,” he said. “Both actors genuinely care about the set and have an incredible passion for acting, so they openly exchanged ideas and shared positive energy with each other.”

He added, “Because the two of them worked well together and enjoyed immersing themselves in their roles, their incredible emotional scenes and the intense tension between them came through on screen.”

Another defining feature of the series is that its story unfolds simultaneously across different Asian cities, from Seoul and Tokyo to Taipei, Singapore, Bangkok, Naha, and Manila. A key point to watch will be how the kidnapping cases occurring in different locations are ultimately connected as part of a single game.

Director Yusuke Kato said, “As the series progresses, the answers to who designed this brutal game, what its true purpose is, and whether the choices made by the participants were actually the right ones will gradually be revealed.”

“kiDnap GAME” will premiere on October 6 at 10 p.m. KST.

Lee Joon Gi And Sakaguchi Kentaro Must Complete Deadly Missions To Save Their Kidnapped Loved Ones In “kiDnap GAME”

Upcoming drama “kiDnap GAME” has teased the missions that will push Sakaguchi Kentaro and Lee Joon Gi’s characters into extreme dilemmas!

In the drama, Tokyo detective Nīide Toshiro (Sakaguchi Kentaro) and Seoul doctor Han Ki Joo (Lee Joon Gi) each receive a mysterious message immediately after their beloved wife and daughter, respectively, are kidnapped. Along with the message, “If you want to save your loved one, complete your mission before the other participants,” they are given two brutal rules: they have just 10 days, and only one person can survive.

What makes the situation even more alarming are the individual missions assigned to the two men. Watch: Ryu Jun Yeol Loses His Identity And Entire Life To A Deadly Doppelgänger In “Mousetrap” Teaser

Netflix’s upcoming series “Mousetrap” has unveiled its main poster and teaser!

Based on a webtoon, “Mousetrap” is a thriller that follows Moon Jae (Ryu Jun Yeol), a reclusive novelist who loses everything—his name, identity, and fortune—to a mysterious man known only as “The Rat”; No Ja (Sol Kyung Gu), a loan shark determined to recover his missing money; and detective Sun Yong (Lee Kyu Hyung), who becomes involved in the case as he investigates the identity of The Rat.

The main poster features the three characters standing beneath the shadow of the Rat, each looking in a different direction with serious expressions. Moon Jae is determined to prove his identity after losing everything, while No Ja becomes entangled in the case while pursuing his missing money. Meanwhile, detective Sun Yong begins investigating after receiving a mysterious tip. With the three men drawn into the game orchestrated by the Rat for completely different reasons, anticipation is building for the unpredictable events that will unfold.

The main trailer opens with a shocking moment in which the Rat, who has exactly the same face as Moon Jae, appears before him. After suddenly finding himself forced to prove his own identity, Moon Jae is approached and attacked by No Ja, who demands his money back. The two then eventually forge an unlikely alliance to track down the Rat, with Moon Jae determined to reclaim his stolen name and No Ja determined to get his money back.

As questions grow over why the Rat stole everything from Moon Jae, including his face and his entire life, the tagline, “A deadly pursuit to find myself,” hints at the difficult journey ahead.

Meanwhile, detective Sun Yong becomes increasingly confused over who is real and who is fake as he gets closer to the truth surrounding the two men. The appearance of Seung Gyu (Kim Sung Oh), who appears to be at odds with No Ja, further raises tension over where the investigation into the Rat’s identity will lead.

The Rat’s true intentions also remain shrouded in mystery when he tells a barely conscious Moon Jae to run away.

The trailer ends with intense action sequences ranging from hand-to-hand combat and shootouts to car chases, promising an immersive thriller that combines the adrenaline of a high-stakes pursuit with mystery and suspense.

Lee Jung Eun, Kong Hyo Jin, Park So Dam, And Lee Yeon Hide A Deadly Mission Behind A Family Trip In “The Journey To Gyeongju”

Upcoming film “The Journey to Gyeongju” has unveiled new stills ahead of its premiere!

“The Journey to Gyeongju” is a family revenge film about a mother and three daughters who embark on a “killer” journey after waiting eight years, all for their youngest daughter Gyeong Ju who never returned from a school field trip.

The new stills sharply contrasts the happy image of the four women smiling together in matching family T-shirts as they pose for a commemorative photo with the perilous revenge journey that follows.

In the stills, Ok Sil (Lee Jung Eun), the mother who has lived for nothing but revenge since losing her youngest daughter Gyeong Ju, commands attention with her unwavering gaze. However, the anxious expression of her eldest daughter Jang Ju (Kong Hyo Jin) hints that their path to revenge will be anything but smooth.

The stills also feature second daughter Young Ju (Park So Dam), who is in charge of carefully devising their plan, and impulsive third daughter Dong Ju (Lee Yeon) as they face each other through the bars of a holding cell, suggesting unexpected twists and obstacles that arise during their mission.

Also featured are tense moments, including a chase sequence in which the family pursues a man—presumably Gyeong Ju’s killer—while he is bound in black plastic, as well as a scene of the four women joining forces to pull something together.

The contrast between the family cheerfully taking photos against the backdrop of Gyeongju city during the day and, later that night, digging through a forest wearing raincoats and carrying shovels highlights the film’s distinctive blend of genres of revenge and black comedy.

Oh Jung Se Is A Former Deadly Agent Who Has Lost His Memory In “Fifties Professionals”

MBC’s upcoming drama “Fifties Professionals” has shared a glimpse of the struggles faced by Oh Jung Se’s character!

“Fifties Professionals” is an action-comedy about three seemingly ordinary but secretly dangerous middle-aged men who are brought back into action by destiny. The three men, who once reigned at the top of their respective fields, find themselves exiled to the remote island of Yeongseon after a mysterious incident. There, they begin a bittersweet and comedic quest to uncover the truth about the fateful day from 10 years ago that changed their lives.

Oh Jung Se will star as Bong Je Soon, an elite North Korean special agent who was once known as the North’s most lethal human weapon. However, after suffering an unexpected accident during a mission, Bong Je Soon loses his memory and is taken in by an elderly man who lives on Yeongseon Island with his grandson Heo Nam Il.

In a striking contrast to his past as a deadly killing machine, Bong Je Soon’s new life on Yeongseon Island as an ordinary man is marked by an unending series of minor but taxing struggles.

At work, Bong Je Soon is forced to deal with a toxic boss whose constant abuse of power leaves him drained and unhappy. In newly released stills from the upcoming drama, an envious Bong Je Soon is stuck washing his boss’s car on his own while his co-workers bond by playing a game of catch.

In another unfortunate situation, Bong Je Soon personally visits a private lender in a desperate attempt to retrieve the title deed to his house, which his nephew Heo Nam Il has secretly sold. A photo captures Bong Je Soon pitifully pleading with someone as he struggles to clean up the mess made by his unruly nephew.
