&TEAM, RIIZE, TXT, And More Earn Platinum And Gold Certifications In Japan
The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) has announced its latest batch of official certifications!
This month, &TEAM’s new Japanese EP “We on Fire” earned an official triple platinum certification for over 750,000 units shipped in Japan. According to the RIAJ’s certification thresholds, albums are certified gold at 100,000 units shipped and platinum at 250,000.
Meanwhile, RIIZE’s latest Japanese single album “All of You” was certified double platinum for over 500,000 units shipped in Japan.
TXT’s new Korean mini album “7TH YEAR: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns” was certified platinum for over 250,000 units shipped in Japan.
Finally, both NiziU’s new Japanese EP “GOOD GIRL BUT NOT FOR YOU” and aoen’s latest Japanese single album “INSTANT CRUSH” were certified gold for over 100,000 units shipped in Japan each.

BTS And BLACKPINK Earn RIAJ Platinum Certifications For Streaming In Japan
The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) has announced its latest batch of official certifications!
In 2020, the RIAJ implemented a new certification system for online streaming of songs, as an addition to its pre-existing certification systems for physical album shipments and digital download sales. According to the new system, songs are certified silver once they reach 30 million streams, gold at 50 million streams, and platinum at 100 million streams.
This month, both BTS’s 2018 Japanese song “Let Go” and the Japanese version of BLACKPINK’s 2017 hit “As If It’s Your Last” were officially certified platinum after surpassing 100 million streams each in Japan.

“Filing For Love,” “We Are All Trying Here,” And “Doctor Shin” All Earn Their Highest Ratings Yet
Three dramas hit new all-time highs in viewership last night!
On May 3, tvN’s “Filing for Love” soared to its highest viewership ratings yet for its fourth episode. According to Nielsen Korea, the new romantic comedy took first place in its time slot across all cable channels with an average nationwide rating of 7.9 percent, marking a jump of over three full percentage points from its previous episode the night before.
JTBC’s “We Are All Trying Here” also wrapped up the first half of its run on its highest ratings yet, scoring a nationwide average of 2.9 percent.
Meanwhile, TV Chosun’s “Doctor Shin” ended on the highest ratings of its entire run, with its series finale earning a nationwide average of 2.3 percent.
Finally, KBS 2TV’s “Recipe for Love” continued its reign as the most-watched show of Sunday with an average nationwide rating of 14.7 percent.

TXT, AKMU, And BTS Earn Double Crowns On Circle Weekly Charts
Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart) has revealed its chart rankings for the week of April 12 to 18!
Album Chart
TXT achieved a double crown on this week’s Circle charts, topping both the physical album chart and the digital download chart with their new mini album “7TH YEAR: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns” and its title track “Stick With You.”
“7TH YEAR: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns” claimed two of the top five spots on this week’s chart. The regular version of the mini album debuted at No. 1, while the Weverse version charted separately at No. 5.
PLAVE also took two of this week’s top five spots with their new mini album “Caligo Pt.2”: the regular version debuted at No. 2, and the POCA version charted separately at No. 3.
Finally, MODYSSEY’s debut single album “1.Got Hooked: An Addictive Symphony” entered the chart at No. 4.

TXT topped this week’s digital download chart with “Stick With You,” which debuted at No. 1.
The next four spots on this week’s chart all went to songs from PLAVE’s new mini album “Caligo Pt.2.” The virtual group’s title track “Born Savage” entered the chart at No. 2, followed by “Think I Am” at No. 3, “Blossom Parade” at No. 4, and “Lunar Hearts” at No. 5.
Overall Digital Chart
AKMU also earned a double crown on this week’s charts, with their latest hit “Joy, Sorrow, A Beautiful Heart” topping both the overall chart and the streaming chart
AKMU swept the top two spots on this week’s overall digital chart, where their title track “Joy, Sorrow, A Beautiful Heart” remained No. 1 and their B-side “Paradise of Rumors” jumped to No. 2.
TXT’s “Stick With You” debuted at No. 3 on the chart, trailed by Hearts2Hearts’ “RUDE!” at No. 4 and HANRORO’s “Landing in Love” at No. 5.
Streaming Chart
The top two spots on the streaming chart also went to AKMU’s “Joy, Sorrow, A Beautiful Heart” and “Paradise of Rumors,” which climbed to No. 1 and No. 2 respectively.
Hearts2Hearts’ “RUDE!” stayed strong at No. 3, followed by HANRORO’s “Landing in Love” at No. 4 and KiiiKiii’s “404 (New Era)” at No. 5.
Global K-Pop Chart
BTS maintained their own double crown on the Circle charts this week, remaining No. 1 on both the global K-pop chart and the social chart.
The top five songs on this week’s global K-pop chart were exactly the same as last week. BTS’s latest title track “SWIM” continued its reign at No. 1, with HUNTR/X’s “Golden” (from the “KPop Demon Hunters” soundtrack) holding steady at No. 2.
The next three spots on the chart went to B-sides from BTS’s latest album “ARIRANG”: “2.0” came in at No. 3, “Body to Body” at No. 4, and “Hooligan” at No. 5.
Social Chart 3.0
The top five artists on this week’s social chart also remained exactly the same as last week. BTS held onto their spot at No. 1, with ILLIT at No. 2, BLACKPINK at No. 3, IVE at No. 4, and TWICE at No. 5.

Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart) has announced its latest batch of official certifications!
In 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association implemented a new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and online streaming. Starting with music released on or after January 1, 2018, Circle Chart now certifies albums platinum once they reach 250,000 sales, while albums that have sold a million copies or more receive a “million” certification.
Stray Kids earned a triple million certification this month for selling over 3 million copies of their 2024 mini album “ATE.”
ATEEZ earned two separate certifications for their latest mini album “GOLDEN HOUR : Part.4.” The regular version of the album was certified triple platinum for over 750,000 copies sold, while the POCA version was certified platinum for over 250,000 copies sold.
IVE’s latest album “REVIVE+” was also certified triple platinum for selling over 750,000 copies.
Meanwhile, NewJeans received a double platinum certification after selling over 500,000 copies of the Weverse version of their 2023 single album “OMG.”
NCT JNJM’s unit debut mini album “BOTH SIDES” and the MINIRECORD version of Park Ji Hyeon’s “MASTER VOICE” were both certified platinum for selling over 250,000 copies each.
In the streaming category, both AKMU’s “Love Lee” and Hwang Karam’s “I’m Firefly” were certified platinum after surpassing 100 million streams each.
