Circle Chart has announced its latest batch of official certifications!

In 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association implemented a new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and online streaming. Starting with music released on or after January 1, 2018, Circle Chart now certifies albums platinum once they reach 250,000 sales, while albums that have sold a million copies or more receive a “million” certification.

This month, CORTIS earned two separate certifications for their latest EP “GREENGREEN.” The group received an official double million certification for selling over 2 million copies of the regular version of the album, while the Weverse version was certified double platinum for over 500,000 copies sold.

Circle Chart has revealed its chart rankings for the week of June 21 to 27!

Album Chart

ATEEZ achieved a double crown on this week’s charts, topping both the physical album chart and the digital download chart with their new mini album “GOLDEN HOUR : Part.5” and its title track “BAD.”

ATEEZ swept two of the top three spots on this week’s physical album chart with “GOLDEN HOUR : Part.5.” The regular version of the mini album debuted at No. 1, while the POCA version charted separately at No. 3.

Hearts2Hearts claimed two of the top four spots with their new mini album “Lemon Tang”: the regular version of the mini album entered the chart at No. 3, with the Nemo version charting separately at No. 4.

The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) has announced its latest batch of official certifications!

This month, TWS’s latest Korean mini album “NO TRAGEDY” earned an official platinum certification for over 250,000 units shipped in Japan. According to the RIAJ’s certification thresholds, albums are certified gold at 100,000 units shipped and platinum at 250,000.

BTS And BLACKPINK Earn RIAJ Platinum Certifications For Streaming In Japan

The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) has announced its latest batch of official certifications!

In 2020, the RIAJ implemented a new certification system for online streaming of songs, as an addition to its pre-existing certification systems for physical album shipments and digital download sales. According to the new system, songs are certified silver once they reach 30 million streams, gold at 50 million streams, and platinum at 100 million streams.

This month, both BTS’s 2018 Japanese song “Let Go” and the Japanese version of BLACKPINK’s 2017 hit “As If It’s Your Last” were officially certified platinum after surpassing 100 million streams each in Japan.

BTS, ATEEZ, And NCT WISH Earn Triple Platinum And Gold Certifications In Japan

The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) has announced its latest batch of official certifications!

BTS’s new Korean album “ARIRANG” earned an official triple platinum certification for over 750,000 units shipped in Japan. According to the RIAJ’s certification thresholds, albums are certified gold at 100,000 units shipped and platinum at 250,000.

Meanwhile, both ATEEZ’s latest Korean mini album “GOLDEN HOUR : Part.4” and NCT WISH’s Japanese mini album “WISHLIST” were certified platinum for over 250,000 units shipped in Japan each.

“Filing For Love,” “We Are All Trying Here,” And “Doctor Shin” All Earn Their Highest Ratings Yet

Three dramas hit new all-time highs in viewership last night!

On May 3, tvN’s “Filing for Love” soared to its highest viewership ratings yet for its fourth episode. According to Nielsen Korea, the new romantic comedy took first place in its time slot across all cable channels with an average nationwide rating of 7.9 percent, marking a jump of over three full percentage points from its previous episode the night before.

JTBC’s “We Are All Trying Here” also wrapped up the first half of its run on its highest ratings yet, scoring a nationwide average of 2.9 percent.

Meanwhile, TV Chosun’s “Doctor Shin” ended on the highest ratings of its entire run, with its series finale earning a nationwide average of 2.3 percent.

Finally, KBS 2TV’s “Recipe for Love” continued its reign as the most-watched show of Sunday with an average nationwide rating of 14.7 percent.
