SBS’s “Agent Kim Reactivated” has set a new personal ratings record!
On July 17, the hit action drama kicked off the final two weeks of its run by achieving its highest viewership ratings yet for a Friday (when its ratings have typically been lower compared to Saturdays).
According to Nielsen Korea, the seventh episode of “Agent Kim Reactivated” scored an average nationwide rating of 21.9 percent, continuing its reign as the most-watched show of any kind to air on Friday.

“Agent Kim Reactivated” Earns 2nd Highest Ratings Of Any Friday-Saturday Drama In SBS History
SBS’s “Agent Kim Reactivated” continues its seemingly unstoppable climb!
“Agent Kim Reactivated,” which already became the most-watched drama of 2026 last week, once again soared to its highest viewership ratings yet on July 11. According to Nielsen Korea, the sixth episode of the hit drama climbed to an average nationwide rating of 22.3 percent, marking a new all-time high for the show as it remained the most-watched program of Saturday overall.
With this latest record, “Agent Kim Reactivated” has achieved the second-highest viewership ratings of any Friday-Saturday drama in SBS history, bested only by the 2021 smash hit “The Penthouse 2” (which peaked at an average nationwide rating of 29.2 percent).
Based on a popular webtoon, “Agent Kim Reactivated” tells the story of Manager Kim (So Ji Sub), a seemingly ordinary dad with a secret past who puts everything on the line to save his beloved daughter.

On July 3, the new action revenge drama starring So Ji Sub soared to its highest viewership ratings yet. According to Nielsen Korea, the third episode of “Agent Kim Reactivated” scored an average nationwide rating of 18.8 percent, making it the most-watched program of any kind to air on Friday.

ENA’s new drama “Doctor on the Edge” is gaining steam!
On June 9, the romantic comedy starring Lee Jae Wook and Shin Ye Eun continued its perfect streak of gaining viewers with each new episode. According to Nielsen Korea, the fourth episode of “Doctor on the Edge” achieved the drama’s highest viewership ratings yet, scoring a nationwide average of 5.2 percent.
Meanwhile, tvN’s “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier” enjoyed a rise in viewership ahead of the final week of its run. With two episodes left to go, the hit drama starring Park Ji Hoon climbed to an average nationwide rating of 7.3 percent.

TWICE Earns New RIAJ Triple And Double Platinum Certifications For Streaming In Japan
The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) awarded TWICE two new official certifications for streaming this month!
In 2020, the RIAJ implemented a new certification system for online streaming of songs, as an addition to its pre-existing certification systems for physical album shipments and digital download sales. According to the new system, songs are certified silver once they reach 30 million streams, gold at 50 million streams, and platinum at 100 million streams.
This month, TWICE earned two separate certifications for streaming with two iconic Korean hits from 2019: “Feel Special” was certified triple platinum for surpassing 300 million streams in Japan, while “FANCY” was certified double platinum after hitting 200 million streams.
“My Royal Nemesis” Earns Its Highest Ratings Yet + “Filing For Love” Heads Into Finale On New Saturday High
Both SBS’s “My Royal Nemesis” and tvN’s “Filing for Love” hit new highs in viewership last night!
On May 30, “My Royal Nemesis” kicked off the second half of its run on its highest viewership ratings to date. According to Nielsen Korea, the latest episode of the fantasy romance took first place in its time slot with an average nationwide rating of 10.4 percent, making it the most-watched miniseries of Saturday.
Meanwhile, the penultimate episode of “Filing for Love” earned the drama’s highest ratings yet for a Saturday (when its ratings have generally been lower compared to Sundays). The rom-com remained first place in its time slot across all channels with an average nationwide rating of 7.6 percent ahead of its series finale, making it the most-watched cable show of any kind to air on Saturday.
MBC’s “Fifties Professionals,” which shares a time slot with “My Royal Nemesis,” held relatively steady with an average nationwide rating of 5.2 percent for its fourth episode.
JTBC’s new drama “Reborn Rookie” premiered to an average nationwide rating of 3.7 percent—a figure significantly higher than the premiere rating of 2.2 percent achieved by its predecessor “We Are All Trying Here” (the drama that previously occupied its time slot).
Finally, KBS 2TV’s “Recipe for Love” remained the most-watched program of Saturday overall with an average nationwide rating of 13.3 percent.

AKMU Earns Circle Triple Crown + CORTIS, BTS, And ILLIT Top Weekly Charts
Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart) has revealed its chart rankings for the week of May 3 to 9!
Album Chart
CORTIS swept the top two spots on this week’s physical album chart with their new EP “GREENGREEN.” The regular version of the EP debuted at No. 1, while the Weverse version charted separately at No. 2.
BABYMONSTER similarly claimed the next two spots on the chart with their new mini album “CHOOM.” The regular version of the mini album debuted at No. 3, and the Nemo version charted separately at No. 4.
Finally, NAZE’s self-titled debut mini album entered the chart at No. 5.

AKMU achieved a triple crown on this week’s Circle charts, with their hit song “Paradise of Rumors” topping no less than three separate charts: the overall digital chart, digital download chart, and streaming chart.
AKMU claimed two of the top three spots on this week’s digital download chart, where “Paradise of Rumors” jumped to No. 1 and “Joy, Sorrow, A Beautiful Heart” climbed back up to No. 3.
Meanwhile, ILLIT’s latest title track “It’s Me” shot to No. 2 for the week.

The top five songs on this week’s streaming chart were exactly the same as the overall digital chart, except Hearts2Hearts’ “RUDE!” and CORTIS’s “REDRED” swapped places to take No. 3 and No. 4 respectively.
Global K-Pop Chart
BTS’s “SWIM” continued its reign at No. 1 on the global K-pop chart, with HUNTR/X’s “Golden” (from the “KPop Demon Hunters” soundtrack) holding steady at No. 2.
CORTIS’s “REDRED” rose to No. 3, while BTS’s B-side “2.0” stayed strong at No. 4.
Finally, ILLIT’s “It’s Me” jumped 29 ranks to take No. 5 on this week’s chart.

ILLIt held onto their spot at No. 1 on the social chart this week, while BTS maintained their position at No. 2.

BTS Earns Circle Quadruple Million Certification + P1Harmony, HUNTR/X, And DK Go Platinum
Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart) has announced its latest batch of official certifications!
In 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association implemented a new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and online streaming. Starting with music released on or after January 1, 2018, Circle Chart now certifies albums platinum once they reach 250,000 sales, while albums that have sold a million copies or more receive a “million” certification.
This month, BTS earned two separate certifications for their latest album “ARIRANG.” The group received an official quadruple million certification for selling over 4 million copies of the regular version of the album, while the Weverse version was certified platinum for over 250,000 copies sold.
P1Harmony’s latest mini album “UNIQUE” was also certified platinum for selling over 250,000 copies.
Meanwhile, in the streaming category, both HUNTR/X’s “Golden” (from the soundtrack of the animated film “KPop Demon Hunters”) and December’s DK’s 2023 ballad “Heart” were certified platinum after surpassing 100 million streams each.

MBC’s “Perfect Crown” continues its upward trend!
On April 24, the romance drama starring IU and Byeon Woo Seok achieved its highest ratings to date for a Friday (when its ratings have typically been lower compared to Saturdays). According to Nielsen Korea, “Perfect Crown” was the most-watched program of any kind to air on Friday, when it scored an average nationwide rating of 10.6 percent.
“Perfect Crown” also remained the most-watched show of Friday among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 54, with whom it earned an average rating of 4.3 percent.
Meanwhile, SBS’s “Phantom Lawyer” rose to an average nationwide rating of 6.5 percent as it kicked off the final two weeks of its run.
