Upcoming film “Portrait of a Family” has unveiled its first teaser!

“Portrait of a Family” is a family chronicle that follows top star couple Jung Gu (Ryu Seung Ryong) and Nam Mi (Ha Ji Won). After their marriage falls apart due to the sudden appearance of Jung Gu’s daughter Dong Ju (Kim Si Ah), the film picks up eight years later, depicting the couple’s desperate pursuit of the truth to save Dong Ju after she becomes embroiled in a shocking incident.

The film is a new project from director Lee Ji Won, who won the Best New Director award in the film category at the 55th Baeksang Arts Awards for “Miss Baek.”

The newly released trailer begins with Jung Gu facing the death of a middle school girl that occurred at Urim river. This is followed by Dong Ju’s confession, “It’s my fault that she died,” which heightens curiosity regarding the truth behind the incident.

The trailer intercuts the warm memories of the past—when Jung Gu gifts Dong Ju shoes and says, “Do you know what day it is today? It’s the day you and I met”—with their precarious present situation, depicting the depth of their relationship.

The trailer concludes with Nam Mi’s firm voice saying, “Do whatever it takes to win. And save her,” followed by a scene of Jung Gu desperately running while holding Dong Ju’s hand, foreshadowing a family’s desperate struggle to protect their child.

Upcoming film “The Journey to Gyeongju” has unveiled its first teaser!

“The Journey to Gyeongju” is a family revenge film about a mother and three daughters who embark on a “killer” journey after waiting eight years, all for their youngest daughter Gyeong Ju who never returned from a school field trip.

The teaser begins by introducing the family at the center of the story, with mother Ok Sil (Lee Jung Eun) wearing a solemn expression, followed by her three daughters—Jang Joo (Kong Hyo Jin), Young Ju (Park So Dam), and Dong Ju (Lee Yeon)—as they move an unidentified, heavy object.

Built around the premise of “I kidnapped the murderer who killed my daughter,” the teaser continues with scenes of a yellow van endlessly driving down a fog-covered road, an awkward family photo of the four dressed in matching outfits, the suspicious behavior of the four women chasing in a rice field in broad daylight, and a mysterious presence hidden inside a black plastic bag.

Episode 10 of “Family Register” will feature the long-awaited reunion between Na Jin Yi (Park Se Young) and Lim Ji Hoo (Sung I Eon) at an art exhibition.

Previously, Ji Hoo was seen treating Jin Yi coldly while being unable to take his eyes off her, hinting at the complicated emotions he still harbors.

Hani’s Family Brings Equal Parts Heartache And Comfort In “Love On The Menu”

“Love on the Menu” has offered a glimpse of the complicated dynamics of Hani’s family.

“Love on the Menu” is a family romance drama that follows Kim Moo Jin (Ha Seok Jin) and Han Gyu Rim (Hani), two former lovers who reunite eight years after a painful breakup. As they reconnect, they piece together the fragments of their broken families and create the warmest table of life together.

The new stills offer a glimpse into the eventful daily life of the Han family, highlighting the close yet complicated bonds that keep them together despite years of love and resentment.

Hani stars as Han Gyu Rim, the eldest daughter of the Han family. Park You Na plays her younger sister Han Gyu Young, while Ryu Seung Soo takes on the role of their immature father Han Seok Joong, bringing comic relief to the drama.

“Love on the Menu” has unveiled new stills of Ha Seok Jin’s character’s family!

Ha Seok Jin stars as Kim Moo Jin, the only son of a wealthy family. When he was younger, he gave up his dream of becoming a chef due to his mother’s opposition and instead followed the path laid out by the family business. However, after falling in love with Han Gyu Rim, he chose love over his family and left home. Now, after enduring the pain of heartbreak and spending eight years in Italy becoming a chef, he returns home. A key point to watch will be his journey as he works to unravel years of misunderstandings with his mother Hong Ok Sun, and gradually break down the emotional walls between them.

Jin Kyung plays Hong Ok Sun, the owner of Dong Yoon Group and Kim Moo Jin’s mother. Widowed, she devoted herself to building the company. Although she recognized that her daughter Kim Yoon Jin was exceptionally capable, she insisted on naming her son as her successor, determined to spare her daughter from the discrimination and hardships she herself faced as a woman. A mother who chose strictness in the name of protecting her children, she made the cold-hearted decision to cut ties with her son when he chose love over the family and left home.

Mi Ram takes on the role of Kim Yoon Jin, Hong Ok Sun’s eldest daughter and Kim Moo Jin’s older sister. On July 13, MyDaily reported that Lee Bo Young has been cast as the lead in the upcoming ENA drama “Divorce Investigator Hong Mal Geum” (literal title).

In response to the report, her agency J,WIDE-COMPANY stated, “Lee Bo Young is positively reviewing the offer to star in the new drama ‘Divorce Investigator Hong Mal Geum.’”

“Divorce Investigator Hong Mal Geum” is a comedy courtroom family drama about a mother of three who, after being blindsided by her husband’s affair and subsequent divorce, becomes a family court investigator. As she takes on a variety of complex domestic disputes, she uncovers the truth behind each case while helping families find resolution and reconciliation.

A family court investigator is responsible for conducting fact-finding investigations at the request of a judge or mediator. They examine cases involving divorce, adoption, guardianship, child abuse, juvenile crime, and other family-related disputes, with their reports often playing a key role in the court’s final ruling.

Inspired by real cases handled by family court investigators, the drama follows the journey of a fearless divorcée who takes on the job to protect her children and grows stronger along the way.

Lee Bo Young has been offered the role of Hong Mal Geum, a family court investigator with razor-sharp instincts and keen intuition that kick in even under the most extreme circumstances. After divorcing the husband she “wanted to kill,” she raises her three children alone, fearlessly charging forward despite the hardships she faces.

If Lee Bo Young accepts the role, this will mark her first drama since last year’s “Mary Kills People.”

On July 9, “Portrait of a Family” unveiled its premiere date along with new teasers.

Directed by Lee Ji Won of “Miss Baek,” “Portrait of a Family” is about top star couple Joong Goo (Ryu Seung Ryong) and Nam Mi (Ha Ji Won), who once used to live extravagantly, as they face a crack in their lives due to the sudden appearance of Joong Goo’s daughter Dong Joo (Kim Si Ah). The story follows the chase for the truth in order to save Dong Joo after she becomes swept up in an unexpected incident eight years later.

The launching poster is reminiscent of the “bi gwang” card in the Korean card game hwatu (go-stop), with “bi” meaning “rain” and “gwang” referring to “light.” The poster has the copy, “The most brilliant hand in a moment of crisis,” highlighting the significance of the bi gwang card and hinting that the family will support one another in a moment of crisis.
