On September 19 at around 11:55 a.m. KST, Girls’ Generation’s music video for their iconic 2009 hit “Genie” surpassed 100 million views on YouTube, making it their 10th full-group music video to do so after “Gee,” “The Boys,” “Mr. Taxi,” “I Got A Boy,” “Oh!”, “Party,” “Run Devil Run,” “Lion Heart,” and “Mr. Mr.”

Girls’ Generation’s Lim Yoona Confirmed To Star In Korean Remake Of “Unnatural”
It’s now official: Girls’ Generation’s Lim Yoona will be starring in the upcoming Korean remake of “Unnatural.”
Based on the award-winning Japanese series of the same name, tvN’s “Unnatural” (working title) is a medical mystery drama about forensic pathologists who uncover the hidden truths behind cases involving unnatural deaths.
Lim Yoona will be starring as Song Do Eun, a tenacious forensic pathologist who appears calm and cold on the outside, but is warmhearted and deeply compassionate on the inside. While conducting autopsies with a sharp and steady gaze that doesn’t overlook a single clue, Song Do Eun remains both respectful of the deceased and determined to uncover the truth no matter what.
“Actor Lim Yoona’s warm and cheerful energy will create fantastic synergy with the character of Song Do Eun, who has a strong inner core and a human charm,” said the drama’s production team. “With the nuanced acting of Lim Yoona, whose name alone inspires trust in viewers, ‘Unnatural’ will be reborn with a new and different charm. Please look forward to it.”
“Unnatural” is set to premiere in 2027.

Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon and Apink’s Jeong Eun Ji will be hanging out with their respective bandmates on next week’s episode of “The Manager”!
The popular reality show has released a sneak peek of its upcoming episode, which will feature Hyoyeon and Jeong Eun Ji as guests.
In the newly released preview, host Jun Hyun Moo asks Hyoyeon if her bandmates had anything to say when they heard she was going to appear on “The Manager.” Hyoyeon reveals that Sooyoung teased her by joking, “[‘The Manager’] is for famous people, why are you going on the show?”
Hyoyeon’s manager then shares that she has been living in Girls’ Generation’s dorm for the past 19 years and is currently living on her own as the last member standing. He also points out that she doesn’t have a bed, which leads the panelists to note in amusement that Hyoyeon sleeps on the floor while her dog sleeps in a bed.
The manager goes on to reveal that the housekeeper taking care of Girls’ Generation’s dorm has been working there since Hyoyeon was in high school. The housekeeper fondly tells Hyoyeon, “You’re like a daughter to me. The day you quit is the day I quit, too.”
Later, Hyoyeon meets up with Sooyoung and Yuri, the other two members of Girls’ Generation’s new unit HRS. The three bandmates crack up the panelists—and each other—as they immediately start playfully bickering.
Next the preview moves on to Jeong Eun Ji waking up in the studio in the morning before washing up in a public bathroom. Jeong Eun Ji then shows off her close friendship with her manager of seven years, who remarks, “[People say] we’re like a couple in a long-term relationship. We depend on one another and affectionately take care of each other.”
Finally, Apink is seen getting together for a meal to celebrate Jeong Eun Ji’s birthday and reminiscing about old times.

Get ready for the official debut of Girls’ Generation’s latest unit!
On August 26 at midnight KST, Girls’ Generation-HRS—a new unit consisting of Hyoyeon, Yuri, and Sooyoung—unveiled their first teasers for their upcoming debut single “Skibidi.”
What started out as a lighthearted comedy sketch on Hyoyeon’s official YouTube channel has now evolved into an actual unit debut with real-life promotional performances—and teasers to boot.
Girls’ Generation-HRS’s first digital single album “Skibidi,” which is set to drop on August 31 at 6 p.m. KST, will include both the title track of the same name and the B-side “Lowkey In Love.”

Get ready for more adorable interactions between ALPHA DRIVE ONE’s Sangwon and Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon on “Amazing Saturday”!
On August 15, the popular tvN variety show aired a sneak peek of next week’s episode, which will feature ALPHA DRIVE ONE’s Leo, Xinlong, and Sangwon as guests.
The new preview begins with the three ALPHA DRIVE ONE members teaching the “Amazing Saturday” cast the choreography for their upcoming comeback track, which is due out on August 24.
At the beginning of the show, Leo confidently declares that he was “born ready,” but once the games actually start, they prove harder than he expected. Meanwhile, Xinlong assures the cast that his abs are always ready to go, but he gets embarrassed when the show plays a clip of him pouring water over his own torso.
Finally, Sangwon, who mentioned that he had been a lifelong fan of Taeyeon last time he was on “Amazing Saturday,” compliments Taeyeon by saying she looks even more beautiful today. Shin Dong Yup, who is sitting between them, teases him by joking that Sangwon subtly tried to push him out of the way so he could have a better view of Taeyeon.

Girls’ Generation’s Yuri Parts Ways With SM Entertainment After 19 Years
Girls’ Generation’s Yuri will be parting ways with SM Entertainment after 19 years.
On July 31, SM Entertainment announced that the company and Yuri had mutually agreed to conclude their exclusive contract, effective August 31. The agency also confirmed that her activities as a member of Girls’ Generation will continue unchanged.

We sincerely thank all the fans who have continuously shown Kwon Yuri their love and support.
After in-depth discussions with Kwon Yuri, we have mutually agreed to conclude our 19-year journey together as of August 31.
Since Kwon Yuri debuted as a member of Girls’ Generation in 2007 and helped lead the global K-pop wave, growing into a representative group of her generation while also shining as an actress, it has been a truly meaningful time for SM Entertainment to be part of every step of her journey.
We are deeply grateful to Kwon Yuri for her remarkable achievements as an all-around artist across music, acting, variety shows, and hosting.
Although our exclusive contract is coming to an end, her activities as a member of Girls’ Generation will continue unchanged in the future.

Get ready for a fun episode of “Amazing Saturday” featuring several idols who shaped the K-pop scene in the 2010s!
The popular tvN variety show has revealed a sneak peek of its upcoming episode, which will feature Sunmi, GIrls’ Generation’s Tiffany Young, and VIXX’s Leo (Jung Taek Woon) as guests.
The new preview begins by revealing that the theme for the episode is “Back to the 2010s.” Host Boom then assures Sunmi that “Amazing Saturday” cast members Kim Dong Hyun, Nucksal, and DAY6’s Young K will take care of promoting her new comeback song over the course of the show. But even without their help, Sunmi impresses everyone by revealing that she was able to catch most of the lyrics during the show’s signature guessing game.
Next, Tiffany proves she’s serious about promoting her upcoming musical “Yumi’s Cells,” even going so far as to become the first guest to hand out pamphlets to the cast on the show. Even after she’s already talked about the musical, Tiffany doesn’t miss an opportunity to promote it, and her bandmate Taeyeon explains, “She’s here on a mission today.”
Later, when the topic of Girls’ Generation’s recent unit HyoRiSoo comes up, Tiffany playfully suggests that it’s time for TaeTiSeo to step up and take them on. She and Taeyeon also take the floor to dance to TaeTiSeo’s iconic hit “Twinkle,” with Block B’s P.O hilariously stepping in to take Seohyun’s place.
Finally, Leo, who will be starring opposite Tiffany in the musical version of “Yumi’s Cells,” gets adorably nervous during the show. At one point, he wipes sweat off his forehead; at another, Tiffany explains that his energy is drained because he’s an extreme introvert. Leo gets so shy that he even asks Moon Se Yoon to help him explain the taste of a food dish he’s eating, only to have everyone point out with a laugh that Moon Se Yoon hasn’t eaten it yet.

After showing off her home, which she describes as “a space of my own,” Yuri goes on to reveal some of the unglamorous realities of living on Jeju Island, where she struggles to battle both moisture and bugs.

Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany Young will be sharing a glimpse inside her everyday life on MBC’s “The Manager”!
In a newly released preview of the popular reality show’s next episode, Tiffany Young makes a special appearance as a guest.
The new preview starts out with footage of Tiffany visiting an ENT (Ear Nose & Throat) doctor as she explains in the studio that she meticulously takes care of her throat by avoiding things like caffeine and spicy foods. Next, the cast marvels at how Tiffany manages to perfectly estimate one minute while hosting a radio show as a DJ.
The preview then points out that Tiffany recently got married to Byun Yo Han, with whom she starred in the 2024 drama “Uncle Samsik.” Tiffany tells the panelists, “It was a long time after the drama wrapped.” She goes on to recall being impressed by Byun Yo Han, sharing, “He had such good leadership skills.”
When asked what she likes most about being married, Tiffany replies, “Gaining the strength to face the world. It makes me feel happy and reassured.”
Afterwards, Tiffany is seen attending a rehearsal for her upcoming musical “Yumi’s Cells,” an adaptation of the popular webtoon that was famously also adapted into a hit drama series. Her manager notes, “Even during her Girls’ Generation days, Tiffany was famous for constantly practicing. That’s continued for about 20 years now.”
