2026 Global Citizen Festival, Which TXT Was Set To Headline, Cancelled Due To Dangerous Conditions

The 2026 Global Citizen Festival has been cancelled at the last minute due to safety concerns.

On September 25 local time, Global Citizen announced that “due to the extreme weather forecast for New York City this weekend,” it had made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Global Citizen Festival.

The Global Citizen Festival, which was scheduled to take place the following night on September 26, was originally set to feature TXT as one of its headliners alongside Lauryn Hill & Wyclef Jean, Lenny Kravitz, Lainey Wilson, and Shaboozey, with Hugh Jackman serving as host.

Due to the extreme weather forecast for New York City this weekend, we have made the difficult decision, in consultation with the City of New York and NYC Parks, to cancel this year’s Global Citizen Festival.

Forecasts predict dangerous conditions and circumstances in which we cannot safely bring tens of thousands of Global Citizens, artists, crew, vendors, partners, and staff onto the Great Lawn, let alone all of the equipment required. Safety has to come first. This is the first time in 14 years we’ve had to cancel. We have spent this week working through countless contingencies, which were ultimately not possible, and cancelling is a decision we have not taken lightly.

Global Citizen also shared the following information regarding refunds:

If you purchased tickets to the Festival, your refunds will be processed automatically.

If you made a donation to secure your ticket, you can have this refunded, too.

You will receive an email today that lays out your options.

Byun Yo Han, Roh Jae Won, And More Dive Into The World Of Global Gambling In “Tazza 4: The Song Of Beelzebub”

The film “Tazza 4: The Song of Beelzebub” has unveiled new stills featuring its cast!

Returning with a new chapter after six years, “Tazza 4: The Song of Beelzebub” follows Jang Tae Young (Byun Yo Han), who thought he had everything after building a thriving online casino empire, until his best friend Park Tae Young (Roh Jae Won) takes it all away. When fate reunites them in the world of global gambling, the former friends face off in a high-stakes game of revenge.

One still shows Jang Tae Young covered in blood from head to toe as he is bound to something. Once a man who had it all after finding success in the online casino business, he now faces a situation in which his life is at risk.

Another still also captures the gambling operation that has expanded beyond South Korea to Japan and Vietnam. As big players from each country gather in one place to bet large sums of money, Jang Tae Young also takes a seat at the table and puts his hand on the line.

More stills give a glimpse of the relationship between Park Tae Young and Kaneko (Ayaka Miyoshi). Kaneko is the mastermind who designed the global gambling game involving huge sums of money. Although the two have different goals and remain wary of each other’s true intentions, they join forces.

Another still shows Kaneko standing alone in front of a car in the middle of the night, revealing the mysterious aura of someone who controls the entire gambling operation.

Park Tae Young was Jang Tae Young’s closest friend and business partner, but jealousy toward his friend, who had everything he wanted, twists their relationship. Eventually, after taking everything away from Jang Tae Young, Park Tae Young reunites with his friend in the global gambling scene, where they engage in an unavoidable showdown.

More stills show Kwak Dong Wook (Jo Woo Jin) and Jang Tae Young together in Vietnam. Wearing a wig in a car, Kwak Dong Wook and Jang Tae Young—who is sitting beside him—promise a different kind of fun from the intense atmosphere of the earlier stills.

The film “Tazza 4: The Song of Beelzebub” has unveiled new stills introducing its international cast of characters!

The film takes its high-stakes gambling games across Vietnam, Japan, and South Korea, bringing together actors representing each country.

Vietnamese veteran actress Hong Dao plays Chairwoman Thao, who runs a massive business empire. A woman who genuinely enjoys the thrill of competition, Thao treats even the most important decisions in her life like a game.

Looking back on being offered a role in a Korean film, Hong Dao said, “It was a great joy and honor.” Since she had no prior experience with card games, she shared that she learned the rules from scratch and even practiced handling chips for the role. She joked that she practiced so much that even her family eventually became accustomed to hearing cards and chips being shuffled around the house.

Japanese actor Tsuyoshi Ihara plays Chairman Sasaki, the head of a Japanese corporation and a former yakuza member. While Sasaki appears calm and composed at the table, he is actually a high-stakes gambler who is willing to wager more than anyone else and put everything on the line.

Tsuyoshi Ihara revealed that he watched all three previous “Tazza” films after being offered the role. Drawn to the series, he decided to join the film. Having mostly played more virtuous characters in recent years, he also shared that he went the extra mile to capture Sasaki’s intimidating presence. At director Choi Kook Hee’s request, he even filmed and sent over footage of himself practicing small details of the character, such as slicking back his hair, as part of his preparation.

Model-turned-actress Stephanie Lee transforms into Linda Park, a savvy lobbyist who connects Jang Tae Young with high-profile gamblers in Vietnam while brokering deals behind the scenes. With both charm and sharp business instincts, Linda Park is expected to add another layer of tension to the global gambling world Tae Young finds himself drawn into.

“Tazza 4: The Song of Beelzebub” will premiere on September 23.

Two days ago, Billboard announced that their new EP “WILD” had debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 after KATSEYE achieved their biggest week yet in the United States—and set a new all-time record for girl groups.

To add to that achievement, KATSEYE has now soared to No. 1 on the Artist 100, marking their first time topping the chart.

KATSEYE’s new title track “Hootie Frutti” also debuted at No. 31 on Billboard’s Hot 100 this week, while “Animal” returned to its peak of No. 24 (in its fourth week on the chart) and “PINKY UP” re-entered the chart at No. 81 (marking its 11th non-consecutive week). TXT will be headlining this year’s Global Citizen Festival in New York!

On August 13 local time, Global Citizen officially announced its star-studded lineup for the upcoming festival, which will feature TXT as one of its headliners alongside Lauryn Hill & Wyclef Jean, Lenny Kravitz, Lainey Wilson, and Shaboozey.

This year’s festival, which will be hosted by Hugh Jackman, is set to take place on September 26 on the Great Lawn in Central Park. The event will include appearances by Rachel Brosnahan and Gayle King, with more names to reportedly be announced soon.
