Mu Jin Seong, Kim Nam Hee, Ha Yul Ri, And More Are Kong Hyo Jin’s Devoted Aides Who Boast Seamless Teamwork In “A Bona Fide Killer”

MBC’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama “A Bona Fide Killer” has unveiled new stills of its supporting cast!

“A Bona Fide Killer” is an action drama about a working mother with a lethal job who is fighting to protect her work-life balance. Kong Hyo Jin stars as Yu Bo Na, the seemingly ordinary manager of Sales Team 3 at Durumi Electronics, who is also secretly the legendary sniper known as “Kingfisher.”

In the drama, the Sales Team 3 of Durumi Electronics is a specialized “client” cleanup crew that leads a thorough double life behind the masks of ordinary office workers. With each member possessing their own area of expertise—genius hacker Ki Young Do (Mu Jin Seong), weapons specialist Bong Tae Min (Kim Nam Hee), poisoning expert Oh Hyun Nam (Ha Yul Ri), medical malpractice specialist Go Young Gap (Heo Jae Ho), and administrative assistant Yang Ye Sol (Kim Ga Hee)—they carry out exhilarating operations to privately punish heinous criminals who skillfully evade the law, thereby resolving the grievances of victims.

Ahead of the premiere, the main cast of Sales Team 3, who boast flawless teamwork, drew attention by personally revealing their characters’ strengths and key points to watch.

First, Mu Jin Seong introduced his character Ki Young Do as “a person full of respect who always provides close backup for his senior, Kingfisher Yu Bo Na” and highlighted his cool-headedness as his primary charms. He expressed confidence, saying, “You will find the show even more enjoyable if you focus on the ‘client meeting’ process, the human emotions revealed within those moments, and the teamwork of Sales Team 3.”

The synergy between Kim Nam Hee and Ha Yul Ri, who will add vitality to the drama with their bickering, antagonistic chemistry, is another key point to watch. Kim Nam Hee hinted, “Bong Tae Min is an ‘otaku’ who lives shut away in a room, but he silently does his part. He has a deep friendship with Bo Na, and through Hyun Nam, his stagnant life begins to change.”

In response, Ha Yul Ri, who plays the poisoning expert Oh Hyun Nam, said, “She has a chic and decisive personality. She assists with the meetings using her lethal skills, so please look forward to her intriguing relationship with Manager Tae Min.”

Heo Jae Ho, who plays Go Young Gap, stated, “He is a person who seeks to uphold social justice based on the single conviction of punishing evil. While he is usually a goofy mood-maker, his charm lies in the way his gaze and focus suddenly shift during a mission.”

Kim Ga Hee, who plays the paperwork master Yang Ye Sol, said, “She is a clever character who even writes the scenarios for important meetings. Please keep an eye on how she maintains balance and acts as a lubricant among the highly individualistic team members with her unique kindness.”

Yoon Hee Suk, Seo Do Young, And Jeon Seung Bin Stand As Pillars Of Support For Lim Ji Eun In New Drama “Family Register”

MBC’s upcoming daily drama “Family Register” has unveiled new stills featuring its cast!

“Family Register” tells the story of a child who is branded from birth as the person responsible for destroying a family and a woman who fights against society’s prejudice and a cruel fate to reclaim her life.

The newly released stills highlight three men who support Noh Young Joo (Lim Ji Eun) in different ways.

First, Im Sa Bin (Yoon Hee Suk) is a character who symbolizes the return of excitement to Noh Young Joo’s life after a long time. A Korean medicine doctor who runs a clinic, he has a warm personality and a strong sense of consideration. He carefully approaches Young Joo, who was hurt by her husband Cha Min Ki (Jeon No Min)’s betrayal. He is also the first person to recognize Young Joo’s true self, someone who has lived more resiliently than anyone else but carries deep loneliness. It remains to be seen whether Im Sa Bin can open Young Joo’s tightly closed heart and give her new hope.

Noh Young Joo’s eldest son, Cha Seung Hyun (Seo Do Young), serves as a steady pillar of support. Seung Hyun, a Grade 7 civil servant in the postal service, grew up watching his mother struggle after his father left home during his childhood. With a personality that values principles, he does not easily tolerate even a single mistake, but he shows a kinder and more responsible side as a son than anyone else in front of his mother. Seung Hyun, who has quietly fulfilled his role for his family, is also expected to undergo changes in the future, which is highlighted as a key point of interest.

Cha Seung Woo (Jeon Seung Bin), Noh Young Joo’s second son, is an educational producing director at a broadcasting company. He is a character with strong drive and an upright personality who cannot rest until he confirms results through to the end. On the surface, he appears cold and seems to have many enemies, but in reality he has a warmer heart and a more attentive nature than anyone else. In particular, the process of confronting the past wounds that upended his life is expected to serve as an important pillar driving Seung Woo’s coming-of-age storyline.

Lee Sang Hee Is An Unsettling Presence Who Changes The Course Of Events In “The Husband”

The upcoming KBS drama “The Husband” has unveiled the first stills of Lee Sang Hee’s mysterious character!

“The Husband” is a romance thriller that follows Kang Tae Joo (Namkoong Min), a man who becomes entangled in a desperate fight against a ruthless criminal in order to rescue his wife, who is kidnapped just before their divorce.

Lee Sang Hee stars as Kim Kyung Ae, a mysterious woman who suddenly appears before Go Se Yoon (Lee Seol) when she finds herself in trouble. Although her words and actions are undeniably kind and gentle, there is something strangely unsettling about her presence. Constantly leaving others suspicious of her true intentions, Kim Kyung Ae becomes a crucial variable who changes the course of events in unexpected ways.

Newly released stills offer a glimpse of Kim Kyung Ae’s secretive nature. In one scene, Kim Kyung Ae casts a wary gaze toward something in the distance. Carrying a plastic bag containing an unknown item, she moves cautiously before appearing startled by something she discovers. What impact will Kim Kyung Ae—who brings an air of mystery and suspicion wherever she appears— have on the story?

Speaking about her decision to join the drama, Lee Sang Hee shared, “I was grateful to receive the offer, and above all, I was curious about the cast. I had previously appeared in the same project as Namkoong Min, but we never had the opportunity to act together in the same scenes, so I wanted to work with him through this drama. I was also eager to watch Kim Dae Myeung’s acting up close.”

She continued, “It was also a role that felt unfamiliar to me, which made me want to take on the challenge. I spent a lot of time thinking about how to best portray Kyung Ae, and during filming, I frequently sought advice from the director and my fellow actors. Their help was invaluable as we exchanged emotions and built the character together.”

The production team commented, “In ‘The Husband,’ Lee Sang Hee delivers the peak of realistic acting, creating intense tension and a sense of unease through the most ordinary appearance. We are confident that the mysterious questions surrounding Kim Kyung Ae will serve as a catalyst that drives the drama’s suspense to its highest level.”

“The Husband” is set to premiere on July 4 at 9:20 p.m. KST.

Park Hae Soo, Lee Hee Joon, And Kwak Sun Young Share Final Thoughts Ahead Of “The Scarecrow” Finale

Park Hae Soo, Lee Hee Joon, and Kwak Sun Young have shared their closing remarks ahead of the finale of “The Scarecrow.”

“The Scarecrow” follows a detective investigating a series of murders who is forced into an unlikely partnership with a man he despises. Set between 1988 and 2019, the suspenseful story tracks two men bound by misfortune and an uneasy alliance of hatred as they chase the truth across 30 years.

Ahead of the drama’s highly anticipated finale, the production team released new stills along with farewell comments from the cast.

Park Hae Soo, who led the drama as Kang Tae Joo, shared, “I heard many reactions saying the drama was difficult or frightening to watch. In the first half especially, I was constantly asked, ‘So who’s the culprit?’ and that made me realize just how immersed viewers were in the story. Later on, many people told me they felt angry and heartbroken alongside the characters.” He added, “Personally, the phrase I heard most often on the streets was ‘Kang Tae Joo, fighting!’ I’m simply grateful.”

Lee Hee Joon, who played Kang Tae Joo’s opposing force Cha Si Young, remarked, “Because the subject matter is heavy and the story itself isn’t lighthearted, I never expected it to receive this much love. That’s why I’m even more thankful.”

Kwak Sun Young, who portrayed Seo Ji Won, a key ally to Kang Tae Joo, said, “The comment I heard most often was that it was terrifying yet incredibly gripping. I also noticed that the criticism, which was initially directed only at the killer, eventually expanded toward those who mishandled the investigation back then. I’m truly grateful so many viewers showed interest in this drama.”

As the drama was inspired by the real-life Lee Chun Jae serial murder case, the actors approached the project with a heightened sense of responsibility. Ahead of the finale, they also shared key points viewers should look forward to in the final episode.

Lee Hee Joon, who played a prosecutor attempting to cover up the truth behind the serial murders, teased, “As Cha Si Young becomes a member of the National Assembly, he has more to protect—and more to lose. Please pay attention to the choice he makes when faced with the truth. In particular, the emotions in the final courtroom scene will be an important point to watch.”

Kwak Sun Young, who played a reporter in the 1980s timeline, commented, “Unlike the past, when the media was controlled by outside forces, Seo Ji Won is relatively freer in the drama’s present-day setting of 2019. Please look forward to how she reveals what happened in Gangseong to the world, how her friendship with Kang Tae Joo continues, and how the remaining characters move forward with their lives.”

Lastly, Park Hae Soo reflected, “Meeting the character Kang Tae Joo gave me many experiences both within the story and as an actor. At times it felt frustrating, but it was also incredibly desperate and heartfelt. I’m grateful to viewers who empathized with and deeply cared about the story, and I hope this drama can offer even a small measure of comfort to the victims and their bereaved families.”

The finale of “The Scarecrow” airs on May 26 at 10 p.m. KST.

Park Hae Soo And Lee Hee Joon Reunite After 30 Years In “The Scarecrow”

“The Scarecrow” has shared new stills ahead of its upcoming episode!

“The Scarecrow” follows a detective investigating a series of murders who is forced into an unlikely partnership with a man he despises. Set between 1988 and 2019, the suspenseful story tracks two men bound by misfortune and an uneasy alliance of hatred as they chase the truth across 30 years.

Spoilers

Previously in the drama, Kang Tae Joo (Park Hae Soo) learned through Park Dae Ho (Ryu Hae Jun) that Cha Si Young (Lee Hee Joon) and other detectives had concealed the body of Yoon Hye Jin (Lee Ah Rin). While pursuing the whereabouts of the body, Kang Tae Joo ended up being buried alive by Cha Si Young at the end of the previous episode. In addition, despite Seo Ji Won (Kwak Sun Young)’s best efforts, Im Seok Man (Baek Seung Hwan) was sentenced to life imprisonment at the final trial of the 7th case. In the end, the truth was revealed by Lee Yong Woo (Jung Moon Sung), the real culprit behind the serial murder cases who got caught after 30 years.

The released stills hint at new developments in the story. The first image depicts a reunion between Kang Tae Joo and Cha Si Young in the present day. Cha Si Young is seen wearing a golden badge indicating that he is a member of the National Assembly. He appears highly alert upon hearing that the real serial murder culprit has been caught. Attention is focused on who will emerge as the winner in this 30-year-long battle over the truth.

Another set of photos draws attention with the appearance of a familiar face, Cha Young Beom (Song Geon Hee). Cha Young Beom is an intern reporter investigating the serial murder case, which has resurfaced following the confession of the real culprit. Expectations are high for Song Geon Hee’s dual role, from Lee Ki Beom, who died 30 years ago from the aftereffects of torture after being framed, to a young reporter chasing the truth.

The production team stated, “From Episode 11 onward, the present day of 2019 will serve as the backdrop, and the hidden truths of the incidents from 30 years ago will resurface again.” They added, “The changes in relationships between characters who meet again after a long time will also be an important point to watch.”

The next episode of “The Scarecrow” will air on May 25 at 10 p.m. KST.

Park Hae Soo And Lee Hee Joon’s Conflict Intensifies In “The Scarecrow”

“The Scarecrow” has shared new stills ahead of its upcoming episode!

“The Scarecrow” follows a detective investigating a series of murders who is forced into an unlikely partnership with a man he despises. Set between 1988 and 2019, the suspenseful story tracks two men bound by misfortune and an uneasy alliance of hatred as they chase the truth across 30 years.

Spoilers

In the previous episode, Kang Tae Joo (Park Hae Soo) identified the same criminal’s modus operandi in the bodies of victims from the Muwon murder case and the sixth murder case, arguing that “the serial killings are not over.” He also did not overlook a recent child disappearance case in the Gangseong region. He suspected that eight-year-old girl Yoon Hye Jin (Lee Arin) could be another victim of the serial killings.

However, the body discovered at the search site turned out not to be Yoon Hye Jin but a new victim. Amid this, a shocking twist was revealed. It was discovered that Cha Si Young, along with Jang Myeong Do (Jeon Jae Hong), Do Hyeong Gu (Kim Eun Woo), and Park Dae Ho (Ryu Hae Jun), had already found Yoon Hye Jin’s body and secretly concealed it. Testimony from Lee Gi Hwan (Jung Moon Sung), who recounted what he witnessed “30 years ago,” heightened the tension.

As the investigation and trial of the Gangseong serial murder case continue, the already hostile relationship between Kang Tae Joo (Park Hae Soo) and Cha Si Young (Lee Hee Joon) grows even more tense. In the newly released photos, the two are seen confronting each other at their former classmate Park Sang Beom’s (Gil Eun Sung) room salon, drawing attention. Viewers can’t wait to find out why Park Sang Beom, who serves as Cha Si Young’s loyal subordinate, is kneeling before Kang Tae Joo.Park Hae Soo And Lee Hee Joon’s Conflict Intensifies In “The Scarecrow”插图

With serial murders continuing to occur even while Im Seok Man (Baek Seung Hwan) is in custody, the hunt for the real culprit has returned to square one. Cha Moo Jin’s (Yoo Seung Mok) sudden visit to Kang Sun Young;s (Seo Ji Hye) home also sparks curiosity. Attention is focused on what has brought these two people, who seemed to have no connection, together.Park Hae Soo And Lee Hee Joon’s Conflict Intensifies In “The Scarecrow”插图3

The production team stated, “In the upcoming 10th episode, Kang Tae Joo attempts a certain deal with Cha Si Young in order to find Yoon Hye Jin’s missing body. The confrontation between those who are trying to bury the truth and those who are determined to uncover it will create intense tension.”

Meanwhile, on the latest episode of the drama, Byun Eun Ah (Go Youn Jung) and Jang Mi Ran (Han Sun Hwa) bonded as Jang Mi Ran opened up about her innermost thoughts and Byun Eun Ah comforted her. Despite being stuck in a complicated situation where she must hide the fact that she’s Oh Jung Hee’s biological daughter, Byun Eun Ah found herself growing genuinely fond of Jang Mi Ran.

In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming episode, these four characters gather at Hwang Dong Man’s house, where they set up a small Christmas tree and share laughter over drinks and snacks.

Park Hae Soo Grabs Lee Hee Joon By The Collar In Explosive Confrontation In “The Scarecrow”

Spoilers

Previously in the drama, the truth behind Lee Ki Beom (Song Geon Hee’s) death after he was cleared of false accusations, as well as the identity of serial killer Lee Yong Woo, which had been hidden for 30 years, were revealed. While Lim Seok Man (Baek Seung Hwan), who was newly identified as a suspect, was arrested, the recently released Lee Ki Beom died on his way home. The cause of death was revealed to be organ damage and sepsis resulting from assault and torture. Moreover, the revelation that Lee Ki Beom already knew the true identity of his older brother Lee Ki Hwan (Jung Moon Sung) further heightened the tension.

In the newly released photos, Kang Tae Joo (Park Hae Soo) grabs Cha Si Young (Lee Hee Joon) by the collar and glares at him with eyes full of rage. Cha Si Young, however, stares back at Kang Tae Joo without wavering, creating a tense atmosphere.

In a previously released preview for the upcoming episode, Kang Tae Joo was seen crying out in anger, saying, “Are you even human? How could you pin those kinds of charges on me?” This raises curiosity about where the relationship between the two men—which had been going back and forth between cooperation and betrayal—is headed.

More stills show Jang Myung Do (Jeon Jae Hong) and Do Hyung Gu (Kim Eun Woo) conducting an on-site investigation for the seventh case. The photo in which they force the physically weakened Lim Seok Man to climb over the victim’s wall hints at the detectives’ excessive investigation methods. Will Lim Seok Man become another scapegoat, just like Lee Ki Beom?
