Lovelyz’s Jeong Yein Confirmed To Take Over Ha Young’s Role In “The Trauma Code: Heroes On Call”

Lovelyz’s Jeong Yein has been confirmed to join the cast of “The Trauma Call: Heroes on Call” !

Previously on September 23, it was reported that Jeong Yein would be taking on the role of Cheon Jang Mi for the second and third seasons of the Netflix series “The Trauma Call: Heroes on Call.” However, at the time, both Netflix and Jeong Yein’s agency denied the report.

On September 29, MyDaily reported that later that day, key cast members of “The Trauma Call: Heroes on Call,” including Jeong Yein, will meet for the first time to conduct a brief script reading, followed by a meal together.

Following the reports, a representative from Netflix confirmed, “It is true that Jeong Yein has been selected as the successor to Ha Young for the new seasons of ‘The Trauma Call: Heroes on Call.’”

Released last year, the first season of “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call” follows genius trauma surgeon Baek Kang Hyuk (Ju Ji Hoon) as he works to revive a struggling Severe Trauma Care team. Following Ha Young‘s decision to voluntarily step down, auditions were held to select an actress to fill the role, and Jeong Yein was ultimately chosen.

First debuted as a member of the girl group Lovelyz, Jeong Yein has been expanding her acting spectrum through various projects and theatrical stages, starting with the 2017 web drama “The Blue Sea” and tvN’s “Criminal Minds.”

Lovelyz’s Jeong Yein’s agency has responded to reports that she has been cast in the new seasons of “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call.”

On September 23, MyDaily reported that Jeong Yein would take over the role of Cheon Jang Mi, previously played by Ha Young, in Seasons 2 and 3 of “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call.”

According to the report, the production team held auditions to fill the vacancy left by Ha Young, who stepped down from the series following controversy surrounding her family’s alleged pro-Japanese ties, and ultimately selected Jeong Yein for the role.

However, Jeong Yein’s agency SUBLIME denied the report, stating, “There have been no discussions regarding her appearance in ‘The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call.’”

A Netflix representative also briefly commented, “Casting discussions are currently underway. Nothing has been confirmed yet.”

Released last year, “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call” follows genius trauma surgeon Baek Kang Hyuk (Ju Ji Hoon) as he works to revive a struggling Severe Trauma Care team.

The drama centers on Baek Kang Hyuk and several key characters, including Yang Jae Won (Choo Young Woo), Cheon Jang Mi (Ha Young), Han Yu Rim (Yoon Kyung Ho), and Park Gyeong Won (Jeong Jae Kwang). Following Ha Young’s departure, the production is currently looking to cast a new actress as Cheon Jang Mi for the upcoming seasons.

Xdinary Heroes’ Jooyeon Sits Out Schedule, Including Villains 4th Anniversary Live, Due To Health

Xdinary Heroes’ Jooyeon will be taking a temporary break from activities after falling ill.

On September 14, JYP Entertainment announced that Jooyeon had been diagnosed with Type A influenza after developing cold-like symptoms.

As a result, Jooyeon will be temporarily sitting out all of the group’s activities, including today’s Villains fourth-anniversary YouTube live broadcast in order to rest and focus on his recovery.

The agency’s full statement is as follows:

This afternoon, member Jooyeon visited the hospital due to cold-like symptoms, and after being examined, he was diagnosed with Type A influenza.

In accordance with the doctor’s opinion, Jooyeon will not be participating in scheduled activities for the time being, and he will be focusing on recovering his health while getting plenty of rest. Therefore, he will unavoidably be unable to participate in the Villains fourth-anniversary live broadcast scheduled for tomorrow, along with certain other scheduled activities.

Regarding his future schedule, Jooyeon will resume activities once we have assessed the state of his health and determined that he has sufficiently recovered.

Xdinary Heroes is gearing up for a comeback!

On September 7, TenAsia reported that Xdinary Heroes is preparing to return with new music in October, followed by a concert in mid-November. The band has reportedly been filming content related to their upcoming release.

In response to the report, JYP Entertainment confirmed, “Xdinary Heroes is preparing for a comeback next month,” adding, “They are also scheduled to hold a concert in November.”

Ha Young is stepping down from the cast of the new seasons of “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call.”

On September 1, a media outlet reported that Ha Young has been confirmed to leave the new seasons of the Netflix original “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call,” which is scheduled to begin filming in October. According to the report, Ha Young informed the production team first that she would not be able to participate in the series.

In response to the report, Netflix confirmed her departure, stating, “Ha Young has decided not to appear in the follow-up to ‘The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call,’ and we respect her decision.”

Netflix has responded to reports that “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call” Season 2 will begin filming in October.

On August 24, Lee Nak Joon, author of the original web novel on which “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call” is based, appeared on KBS2’s “Malja Show” (literal translation). When asked about Seasons 2 and 3 of the hit Netflix series, he said, “The pre-production work for Season 2 is finished, and they’re currently scouting locations. I think filming will begin around October.”

However, on August 25, a Netflix representative shared, “Nothing has been decided yet,” adding, “We are currently discussing the production of Season 2, but it is difficult to confirm details regarding the filming schedule or casting at this time.”

Gun-il, who recently left Xdinary Heroes, has released a new statement through his legal representative.

On August 20, attorney Sung Jae Hwan of Joowon Law Firm, representing Gun-il, posted an official statement on his Instagram, declaring, “The Artist did not depart of his own volition nor did he agree to terminate his exclusive contract.”

Xdinary Heroes Cancels Upcoming Fan Meeting “THE X-TOWN” Following Gun-il’s Departure

Xdinary Heroes’ third fan meeting “THE X-TOWN,” which was scheduled to be held next month, will no longer be taking place.

On August 14 KST, the day after Gun-il’s departure from Xdinary Heroes, JYP Entertainment announced that “THE X-TOWN” had been canceled. The fan meeting was originally scheduled to take place over three nights from September 18 to 20 at Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seoul.

First, we would like to sincerely thank the fans for your unchanging love and support for Xdinary Heroes.

Xdinary Heroes Cancels “Summer Sonic 2026” Appearances Following Gun-il’s Departure

Xdinary Heroes will no longer perform at Japan’s music festival “Summer Sonic 2026.”

On August 13, “Summer Sonic 2026” announced via its official social media accounts that Xdinary Heroes had canceled their appearances, just one day before the festival’s Tokyo event.

The organizers stated, “We have received a request from the artist’s agency to withdraw from the performances, and Xdinary Heroes’ appearances have therefore been canceled. We sincerely apologize to all the fans who were looking forward to seeing them perform.”

They added, “There will be no replacement artist following the cancellation of Xdinary Heroes’ appearances.”

Xdinary Heroes had originally been scheduled to perform on the Pacific Stage at Makuhari Messe in Tokyo on August 14 and on the Massive Stage at Maishima Sports Island in Osaka on August 16 as part of “Summer Sonic 2026.”

The announcement came shortly after JYP Entertainment announced earlier today that leader and drummer Gunil would be leaving the group.
