“Agent Kim Reactivated” Earns 2nd Highest Ratings Of Any Friday-Saturday Drama In SBS History

SBS’s “Agent Kim Reactivated” continues its seemingly unstoppable climb!

“Agent Kim Reactivated,” which already became the most-watched drama of 2026 last week, once again soared to its highest viewership ratings yet on July 11. According to Nielsen Korea, the sixth episode of the hit drama climbed to an average nationwide rating of 22.3 percent, marking a new all-time high for the show as it remained the most-watched program of Saturday overall.

With this latest record, “Agent Kim Reactivated” has achieved the second-highest viewership ratings of any Friday-Saturday drama in SBS history, bested only by the 2021 smash hit “The Penthouse 2” (which peaked at an average nationwide rating of 29.2 percent).

Based on a popular webtoon, “Agent Kim Reactivated” tells the story of Manager Kim (So Ji Sub), a seemingly ordinary dad with a secret past who puts everything on the line to save his beloved daughter.

AND2BLE Records 4th-Highest 1st-Week Sales For K-Pop Group Debut Album In Hanteo History

AND2BLE has achieved an impressive record with their debut album!

On June 2, the group’s agency YH Entertainment announced, “According to Hanteo Chart, AND2BLE’s first mini album ‘Sequence 01: Curiosity’ sold a total of 731,673 copies during its first week of release (May 26 to June 1).”

With this achievement, AND2BLE recorded the fourth-highest first-week sales for a debut album by a K-pop group in Hanteo history, following only ZEROBASEONE, ALPHA DRIVE ONE, and RIIZE.

“Sequence 01: Curiosity” also earned the second-highest first-week sales of any debut album released in 2026, surpassed only by ALPHA DRIVE ONE.

“The Scarecrow” Ends On 2nd-Highest Drama Ratings In ENA History

ENA’s “The Scarecrow” has ended on the highest viewership ratings of its entire run!

On May 26, the series finale of “The Scarecrow” achieved the second highest ratings of any drama in ENA history, bested only by the award-winning 2022 series “Extraordinary Attorney Woo.”

According to Nielsen Korea, the final episode of “The Scarecrow” took first place in its time slot across all channels (including public broadcast networks) with an average nationwide rating of 8.1 percent—marking a new all-time high for the hit drama.

Meanwhile, tvN’s “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier” wrapped up the first half of its run on an average nationwide rating of 7.3 percent.

CORTIS Becomes Boy Group With 6th Highest 1st-Week Sales In Hanteo History

Less than a year into their career, CORTIS has achieved an impressive feat with their first-ever comeback!

Last week, CORTIS released their second EP “GREENGREEN” on May 4. By the end of the day, “GREENGREEN” had already sold over 1 million copies, smashing CORTIS’s previous first-week sales record of 436,367 (set by their debut EP “COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES”) within just its first day of sales alone.

Hanteo Chart has now reported that “GREENGREEN” went on to sell a total of 2,313,291 copies in the first week of its release (May 4 to 10), more than quintupling CORTIS’s previous record.

CORTIS is now the boy group with the sixth-highest first-week sales in Hanteo history, following SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, BTS, NCT DREAM, and ENHYPEN.

Watch: Lim Ji Yeon Gets Emotional About Korean History After Traveling Through Time In “My Royal Nemesis” Preview

SBS’s upcoming drama “My Royal Nemesis” has shared a new sneak peek of its first episode!

“My Royal Nemesis” is a romantic comedy starring Lim Ji Yeon as Shin Seo Ri, a struggling actress who is suddenly possessed by the spirit of a notorious villainess from the Joseon era. Heo Nam Jun will star as Cha Se Gye, a ruthless chaebol heir who is known as a “monster created by capitalism.”

The newly released preview of the drama’s premiere begins after Joseon villainess Kang Dan Shim (also played by Lim Ji Yeon) miraculously wakes up in the present day in the body of Shin Seo Ri. Now possessed by the spirit of Kang Dan Shim, Shin Seo Ri stands on the roof of her building and looks out at modern-day Seoul.

After changing into casual attire, Shin Seo Ri sits down to read a newspaper when a history video playing on a nearby phone suddenly catches her eye. The video offers a quick run-through of key events in Korean history, all of which are entirely unfamiliar to Shin Seo Ri, who has just crash-landed in the 21st century from the Joseon era.

Because the historic events described in the video are completely new to her, Shin Seo Ri gets deeply emotional about each one—shedding tears at some moments and exploding in rage at others. When the video gets to Korea’s liberation from Japanese colonial rule, Shin Seo Ri—now wearing a South Korean flag draped around her shoulders—opens her window and tearfully shouts, “Long live the Republic of Korea!”

Later, when she belatedly learns about South Korea advancing to the semifinals of the 2002 world cup, Shin Seo Ri gets so excited that she bursts out of her apartment and goes around knocking on her neighbors’ doors. To her neighbors’ bewilderment, she happily exclaims, “Everyone, come out here. Did you see the miracle of the Red Devils? We’re going to the semifinals!”

TXT Makes History As 1st Foreign Artist To Top Oricon Weekly Chart With 14 Consecutive Albums

TXT has successfully continued their record-breaking streak on Japan’s Oricon charts!

This week, Oricon announced that TXT’s latest mini album “7TH YEAR: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns” had debuted at No. 1 on its weekly album chart.

As a result, TXT has now become the first foreign artist in history to top Oricon’s weekly album chart with 14 consecutive albums, extending an unprecedented streak of No. 1 albums that first began in 2020.

To date, no other foreign artist from any country has topped the chart with more than 10 consecutive albums.

BTS’s “ARIRANG” Makes Billboard 200 History As 1st Album By Korean Artist To Spend 4 Weeks In Top 3

BTS’s latest album continues to make history on the Billboard 200!

On April 19 local time, Billboard announced that after three weeks at No. 1, BTS’s album “ARIRANG” had ranked No. 3 in its fourth consecutive week on the Top 200 Albums chart, which ranks the most popular albums in the United States.

“ARIRANG,” which was already the first album by a Korean artist ever to spend more than one week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, is now also the first album by a Korean artist to chart in the top 3 for four weeks.

According to Luminate (formerly Nielsen Music), “ARIRANG” earned a total of 78,000 equivalent album units during the week ending on April 16.

“Perfect Crown” Kicks Off On 3rd-Highest Premiere Ratings Of Any MBC Friday-Saturday Drama In History

MBC’s new drama “Perfect Crown” is off to a strong start!

Set in an alternate universe where modern-day Korea is a constitutional monarchy, “Perfect Crown” tells the love story of Seong Hui Ju (IU), a chaebol heiress who has everything but is only a commoner in status, and Grand Prince Ian (Byeon Woo Seok), a prince who has nothing despite being the son of the king.

On April 10, the highly-anticipated new series kicked off on the third-highest premiere ratings of any Friday-Saturday drama in MBC history.

According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode of “Perfect Crown” scored an average nationwide rating of 7.8 percent—more than double the finale rating of 3.1 percent achieved by its predecessor “In Your Radiant Season” (the drama that previously occupied its time slot) last week.

The only MBC Friday-Saturday dramas to premiere to higher ratings to date are “Chief Detective 1958” (which kicked off on a nationwide average of 10.1 percent) and “Knight Flower” (7.9 percent).

Meanwhile, SBS’s “Phantom Lawyer” entered the second half of its run on an average nationwide rating of 6.7 percent.
