JTBC’s “We Are All Trying Here” has shared a sneak peek of a heartwarming moment from its next episode!

“We Are All Trying Here” tells the story of Hwang Dong Man (Koo Kyo Hwan), an aspiring film director who, surrounded by successful friends, believes he is the only one whose life isn’t working out. Consumed by anguish, envy, and jealousy, he sets out on a journey in search of peace.

Previously on “We Are All Trying Here,” Lee Joon Hwan (Sim Hee Sub) was the only member of “The Eight Club” who steadfastly stood by Hwang Dong Man’s side, patiently putting up with his rambling monologues without judging him.

Meanwhile, on the latest episode of the drama, Byun Eun Ah (Go Youn Jung) and Jang Mi Ran (Han Sun Hwa) bonded as Jang Mi Ran opened up about her innermost thoughts and Byun Eun Ah comforted her. Despite being stuck in a complicated situation where she must hide the fact that she’s Oh Jung Hee’s biological daughter, Byun Eun Ah found herself growing genuinely fond of Jang Mi Ran.

In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming episode, these four characters gather at Hwang Dong Man’s house, where they set up a small Christmas tree and share laughter over drinks and snacks.

Later, the group ventures outside to make memories in the falling snow. Hwang Dong Man, Lee Joon Hwan, and Jang Mi Ran happily dance in the snow with childlike joy, while Byun Eun Ah gazes wistfully up at the night sky.

The upcoming Episode 9 will depict Hwang Dong Man finally landing the opportunity of a lifetime—his long-awaited directorial debut—after spending years dreaming of brighter days amid overwhelming feelings of worthlessness.

The newly released stills capture the pivotal moment when Hwang Dong Man visits the Film Promotion Association alongside Go Bak Film CEO Go Hye Jin (Kang Mal Geum) to sign his contract. Previously, Go Hye Jin boldly cut ties with the greed-driven Choi Dong Hyun (Choi Won Young) and Ma Jae Young (Kim Jong Hoon), choosing Hwang Dong Man’s screenplay “We Create the Weather For You” despite the risk of losing billions of won.

For Hwang Dong Man, who spent years alone in his room repeatedly practicing imaginary acceptance speeches for Best New Director awards, the selection of his script marks the beginning of his “fantasy” finally becoming reality. However, the “real ring” proves far from easy. His visibly tense expression in the stills sharply contrasts with Go Hye Jin’s steady and commanding gaze, hinting at the turbulent production journey ahead.

One of the key points to watch will be whether Hwang Dong Man—once merely a loud critic—can successfully lead over 200 difficult cast and crew members as a first-time director. As Go Hye Jin coldly warns him, “You have to step into the ring and take the hits yourself,” can he prove his worth in the far harsher reality of the film industry?

The upcoming film “Gardeners” has officially kicked off filming!

“Gardeners” tells the story of Choi Young Il (Song Kang Ho), a plant-loving civil servant whose only hobby is growing plants. When he joins forces with a local troublemaker to launch an unusual gardening business, their once-quiet neighborhood spirals into unexpected chaos.

Ahead of filming, director Nam Dong Hyup gathered with an impressive cast including Song Kang Ho, Koo Kyo Hwan, Song Seung Heon, Lee Kwang Soo, Shin Hyun Been, Kim Byung Chul, Park Ju Hyun, Lee Ji Hyun, Kim Sung Kyun, Woo Hyun, Im Won Hee, and Lee Jae In. Despite it being their first time working together, the actors displayed seamless chemistry and lively banter during the reading, raising anticipation for a one-of-a-kind comedy film.

Meanwhile, Kim Byung Chul plays Yeom Byung Chul, Young Il’s coworker, while Park Ju Hyun transforms into energetic police officer Jung Hae Ri, who brings vitality to the village. Lee Ji Hyun will portray Moon Ho’s mother Bae Mi Hwa, and Kim Sung Kyun stars as the sly police chief Park Kyung Gam.

Veteran actors Woo Hyun and Im Won Hee join the cast as the town chief and county governor respectively, while Lee Jae In will make a special appearance as Young Il’s daughter Choi Eun Soo, portraying a warm father-daughter relationship.

Disney+’s original series “Made in Korea” has unveiled its first stills from Season 2!

The first season of “Made in Korea” followed Baek Ki Tae (Hyun Bin), a man driven by ambition for wealth and power, and prosecutor Jang Geon Young (Jung Woo Sung), who sacrificed everything to stop him, as they confronted a monumental event in the turbulent 1970s.

Holding a phone receiver and staring straight ahead, Baek Ki Hyun commands attention with a steady gaze and strong presence. As a key figure standing between his older brother Baek Ki Tae and Jang Geon Young, he raises questions about how he will disrupt the balance of power.

“Colony” has unveiled a new poster ahead of its release!

On April 27, the film’s distributor announced, “‘Colony’ has confirmed an IMAX release,” and released the film’s signature key art.

Helmed by “Train to Busan” and “Peninsula” director Yeon Sang Ho, “Colony” follows the story that unfolds as a building is blockaded due to an unknown virus as those infected evolve into unpredictable forms, threatening the survivors. The film has been officially invited to the Midnight Screenings section of the 79th Cannes International Film Festival, earning critical acclaim prior to its premiere.

The film will showcase its large scale, spectacular events and tense suspense through IMAX’s giant screen and powerful sound, vividly portraying the struggle between the infected and survivors. It is expected to deliver an immersive experience, making viewers feel as if they are inside the sealed building.

The newly released poster symbolically depicts the infection crisis. It shows infected individuals reaching toward survivors as they form a massive, colony-like structure, strongly conveying the emergence of a new species.

Beneath the infected are six individuals. At the center, survivor leader Kwon Se Jung (Jun Ji Hyun) stands with a determined expression. Seo Young Cheol (Koo Kyo Hwan) looks up at the infected with a detached gaze, suggesting he is a key figure at the center of the crisis.

Also shown are Choi Hyun Seok (Ji Chang Wook), who is covered in blood and shows intense emotion; Gong Seol Hee (Shin Hyun Been), whose eyes reflect a strong sense of justice; Choi Hyun Hee (Kim Shin Rok), who is seated in a wheelchair and surrounded by tension; and Han Kyu Seong (Go Soo), who remains steady amid the chaos.

Referencing his previous hit films, director Yeon Sang Ho explains, “While my previous projects focused on events unfolding within specific spaces, this time I wanted to focus on the zombies themselves.” Koo Kyo Hwan shares that he was intrigued by the concept of infected individuals being “updated,” while Shin Hyun Been adds that the unique mode of expression stood out to her.

The video also highlights what sets the film apart. Kim Shin Rok mentions the apocalyptic thrill created by focusing on infected beings that differ from traditional zombie tropes. Director Yeon Sang Ho further explains that the infected share information and evolve, describing the process as an “update.” Jun Ji Hyun reveals that she felt genuine fear during filming, while Ji Chang Wook and Go Soo also share their experiences working with this new filming approach. Notably, rather than relying heavily on CGI, the production enhances realism by portraying the infected through choreography and the actors’ physical movements.

The choreography team’s process for designing the infected’s movements was also revealed. From twisting their bodies and crawling on all fours immediately after infection to moving quickly on two legs or mimicking survivors’ behavior, these distinctive movements were brought to life through dancers’ performances. Choreography director Jeon Young comments, “These are grotesque movements that go beyond the limits of what the human body can express,” further heightening curiosity about the film’s depiction of the infected.

On the first episode of “We Are All Trying Here,” Hwang Dong Man and Park Kyung Se got into a silly fight at the opening of a new kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew) restaurant. Hwang Dong Man, who usually had no problem eating spicy food, suddenly declared that he didn’t like spicy food. Annoyed that Hwang Dong Man was making a fuss about not wanting to eat kimchi jjigae at a kimchi jjigae restaurant, Park Kyung Se childishly prevented Hwang Dong Man from getting the dish he wanted by ordering a not-spicy version of kimchi jjigae for him.

Later on in the meal, when Park Kyung Se mentioned having a feeling that his new film was going to flop, Hwang Dong Man’s face lit up as he gleefully warned the other man, “If you keep that up, you’ll end up like me.” The malicious remark got under Park Kyung Se’s skin, adding fuel to the fire of their already hostile relationship.

In newly released stills from the drama’s next episode, the two men get back in the ring for another round of petty quarreling at the same kimchi jjigae restaurant. Stressed out by the disastrously bad reviews of his latest film, Park Kyung Se goes for a mountain hike on his own in order to clear his head and move past the flood of hate comments he’s been receiving.

However, just when he thought that he had finally managed to put it all behind him, Park Kyung Se is blindsided by a barrage of gleeful group chat messages from Hwang Dong Man, who takes great joy in the failures of others.

When Park Kyung Se and Hwang Dong Man once again find themselves face to face at the kimchi jjigae restaurant, the tension between them is palpable. But this time, Park Kyung Se will turn the tables with a stinging remark that takes aim at Hwang Dong Man’s pitiful reality.
