We are making an additional announcement regarding fan support for the fans who love and cherish RESCENE.

Due to a recent incident in which an inappropriate gift was delivered to our artist, we have decided to completely suspend (decline delivery of) all [material] fan support, including birthday support, in the future. However, we deeply apologize and ask for fans’ understanding regarding the fact that we are urgently making this announcement so close to member Woni’s birthday.

Out of consideration for the sincere affection of the fans who have sent [Woni birthday support], we held another round of internal discussions to reconsider our stance, and we ultimately decided to proceed with Woni’s birthday support only up until May 31.

Additionally, we will be conducting rigorous internal inspection of all support items from now on, and we will make another announcement with concrete details at a later time. If any inappropriate items are discovered among fan support items in the future, please be advised that we may take measures such as strong legal action and restrictions on participation in future RESCENE activities (being placed on a blacklist).

NEXZ’s Yu To Sit Out Japan Event Due To Entry Issues

NEXZ’s Yu will not be attending the group’s upcoming fan signing event in Japan.

On May 17 KST, JYP Entertainment announced that Yu would be sitting out NEXZ’s “Mmchk Special Japan Fan Sign Event” scheduled to take place that day.

The agency explained, “Due to an unexpected administrative issue, Yu encountered difficulties with entry procedures and, unfortunately, will not be able to participate in the event. Accordingly, the upcoming event will proceed with the remaining six members excluding Yu.”

Upcoming drama “Reborn Rookie” has shared new stills featuring Jeon Hye Jin and Jin Goo!

“Reborn Rookie” follows Kang Yong Ho (Son Hyun Joo), the powerful chairman of the leading conglomerate Choi Sung Group, who is revered as a business genius. After an accident, however, he unexpectedly finds himself living a second life when his soul swaps into the youthful body of a soccer player named Hwang Jun Hyun (Lee Jun Young), forcing him to start over as a rookie employee at his own company.

Jeon Hye Jin plays Chairman Kang Yong Ho’s daughter Kang Jae Kyung, the president of Choi Sung Chemical, a subsidiary of Choi Sung Group. Kang Jae Kyung is highly competitive and possessive, and she has an intense obsession with Choi Sung Group. With cold-blooded determination, she sets out to seize control of the group immediately after Kang Yong Ho’s sudden accident without showing a hint of hesitation.

Jin Goo plays Chairman Kang Yong Ho’s son Kang Jae Sung. Unlike Kang Jae Kyung, Kang Jae Sung has a more modest demeanor but holds onto the position of president of Choi Sung Corporation—one of the core affiliates—solely by virtue of being the eldest son. Having been compared to Kang Jae Kyung throughout his childhood, Kang Jae Sung harbors deep feelings of inferiority and uses the network he has built as Kang Yong Ho’s eldest son, along with strong support from his in-laws, as weapons to fiercely shake Kang Jae Kyung.

The newly released stills highlight the stark contrast between Kang Jae Kyung and Kang Jae Sung’s personalities. Kang Jae Kyung maintains a poker face and radiates elegance wherever she goes, while Kang Jae Sung’s facial expressions openly reveal his emotions. Their contrasting personalities hint at their polar-opposite management styles.

Viewers are curious about who will ultimately inherit the company between Kang Jae Kyung, who is determined to seize control of the group, and Kang Jae Sung, who leverages his status as the eldest son. The actors added to the intrigue by sharing insights into the unique strategies of their respective characters.

Police Issues Arrest Warrant For HYBE Chairman Bang Si Hyuk

The police have requested an arrest warrant for HYBE Chairman Bang Si Hyuk.

On April 21, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Financial Crime Investigation Division announced that they requested an arrest warrant for Chairman Bang Si Hyuk, who is accused of violating the Capital Markets Act (fraudulent unfair trading).

Chairman Bang Si Hyuk is suspected of deceiving investors by claiming that there were no plans for an IPO before HYBE went public in 2019, thereby inducing a specific private equity fund (PEF) to sell its stake in HYBE, only to proceed with the listing shortly thereafter.

Police believe that, under a private agreement made in advance with the private equity fund, Bang Si Hyuk received 30 percent of the profits from the sale of shares after the IPO, resulting in nearly 200 billion won (approximately $13,585,000) in illicit gains.

Bang Si Hyuk maintains that he did not deceive the initial investors, asserting that the sale was carried out at the request of the investors themselves and that the profit-sharing terms were conditions first proposed by the investors.
