Watch: Yoo Yeon Seok And Seo Hyun Jin’s Upcoming Drama “The Perfect Lie” Confirms Premiere Date With Glimpse Of Script Reading
MBC’s upcoming drama “The Perfect Lie” is gearing up for its premiere!
On September 22, MBC announced that the drama will premiere on October 30 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
Helmed by “You and Everything Else” director Jo Young Min, “The Perfect Lie” is a psychological thriller in which a man and a woman offer completely opposite accounts of the same memory, clashing fiercely in their search for the truth.
Adding to the anticipation, the script reading brought together director Jo Young Min, writer Baek Jae Young, and the main cast, including Yoo Yeon Seok, Seo Hyun Jin, Ok Ja Yeon, Im Seong Jae, Kim Ji Hyun, and Lee Chun Hee. The whirlwind story delivered an intense level of immersion while the actors’ wholehearted performances heated up the session.
Leading the cast, Yoo Yeon Seok heightened the tension with a performance that shifted between warmth and coldness. Yoo Yeon Seok plays Min Joon Ho, a cardiac surgeon and single father who is trusted by everyone. He portrayed Min Joon Ho as more level-headed than anyone else when holding a scalpel yet warmer than anyone else toward his only son. This contrast made the shock and impact of the fierce conflict between Min Joon Ho and Kang Ji Sun (Seo Hyun Jin) that unfolds later even more powerful.
Seo Hyun Jin showed breathtaking concentration as Kang Ji Sun, an elementary school librarian who becomes entangled with Min Joon Ho, one of the parents at the school. Kang Ji Sun is a character whose emotions swing between extremes following her perfect date with Min Joon Ho. Seo Hyun Jin captured Kang Ji Sun’s ever-changing state of mind depending on the circumstances through an emotionally charged performance with a wide range.
Above all, the fierce acting performances between Yoo Yeon Seok and Seo Hyun Jin, who reunited after 10 years since “Dr. Romantic,” were remarkable. Throughout the reading, the two actors poured out so much energy that it could have been mistaken for an actual shoot. On top of that, their ultimate chemistry, built on mutual trust, kept everyone at the scene holding their breath.
The supporting cast further added to the tension with their distinct characters and solid acting skills. Ok Ja Yeon plays juvenile crimes unit detective Lee Hwa Young, Im Seong Jae plays Park Seok Gu, Lee Hwa Young’s husband and a UDT officer, Kim Ji Hyun plays Kang Ji Eun, Kang Ji Sun’s older sister and an anesthesiologist, and Lee Chun Hee plays Kim Hyung Soo, Kang Ji Eun’s husband and Kang Ji Sun’s brother-in-law.

However, after 10 years of happiness, Namgoong Ho and Lee Mi Do are forced to confront concerns about marriage and their future that they are unable to put off facing any longer. Jung Jun Won Feels Conflicted Due To His Wife Kong Hyo Jin’s Secrets In “A Bona Fide Killer”
MBC’s “A Bona Fide Killer” has shared new stills ahead of its upcoming episode!
Based on a hit webtoon, “A Bona Fide Killer” is an action drama about a working mother with a lethal job who is fighting to protect her work-life balance. Kong Hyo Jin stars as Yu Bo Na, the seemingly ordinary manager of Sales Team 3 at Durumi Electronics, who is secretly the legendary sniper known as “Kingfisher.”
Spoilers
Previously in the drama, Kwon Tae Sung (Jung Jun Won) was shocked to discover that his wife, Yu Bo Na, was the Kingfisher he had been pursuing. However, he chose to protect Yu Bo Na by lying to Lee Dong Jin (Lee Sang Yi) that he had seen a male Kingfisher. Just as the couple seemed to be regaining their peace, a sudden sniper attack occurred while they were spending time with their daughter at an amusement park. This mysterious incident, which shattered the family’s happy moment, hinted at yet another crisis looming for the couple.
The newly released stills capture Yu Bo Na in a state of confusion due to the appearance of a Kingfisher copycat.
The copycat throws society into chaos by shooting a middle-aged man in the eye in the middle of the city. Using a firearm to carry out a sniper attack is one of the signature methods associated with Kingfisher in South Korea. Upon learning of the incident, Yu Bo Na is reminded of an unexpected person and comes across a new clue.
Curiosity is mounting over whether Yu Bo Na will be able to find a decisive clue amid the chaotic situation and track down the identity and whereabouts of the copycat.
The conflict between Kwon Tae Sung and Lee Dong Jin also intensifies. After lying even to his friend in order to protect Yu Bo Na, Kwon Tae Sung now digs into the truth of the case by investigating the Kingfisher copycat’s activities from the perspective of a reporter. However, his false statement has already caused confusion in the investigation.
Lee Dong Jin’s goal of uncovering Kingfisher’s identity and Kwon Tae Sung’s efforts to stop him clash once again. Attention is focused on what kind of ending the two men, who have made different choices, will face through this case.
Kwon Tae Sung visits Oki Flower Shop again after learning the truth about Kingfisher. This time, he confronts Bae Yun Ok (Seo Jeong Yeon), convinced that she is connected to Kingfisher.
Bae Yun Ok, too, carries the pain of having her true identity as a hitwoman exposed to her husband in the past. She conveys to Kwon Tae Sung the sincere feelings Yu Bo Na has kept hidden all this time.
Kwon Tae Sung’s wistful expression as he recalls Yu Bo Na smiling happily at the flower shop also draws attention. Viewers are eager to see how Kwon Tae Sung, who even chose to lie to protect his wife, will overcome this new crisis, and whether the couple will be able to remain together until the end.
The appearance of a new copycat further complicates the conflict surrounding Yu Bo Na’s identity, heightening anticipation for the drama’s finale.
The next episode of “A Bona Fide Killer” airs on September 11 at 9:50 p.m. KST.

MBC’s upcoming drama “Liar” (literal title) has released its first teaser!
Helmed by “You and Everything Else” director Jo Young Min, “Liar” is a psychological thriller in which a man and a woman offer completely opposite accounts of the same memory, clashing fiercely in their search for the truth.
Notably, the drama will mark the reunion of Yoo Yeon Seok and Seo Hyun Jin, who starred together in the hit series “Dr. Romantic” 10 years ago.
The new teaser begins with a glimpse of Kang Ji Sun (Seo Hyun Jin) and Min Joon Ho (Yoo Yeon Seok) going on a perfect first date. However, the romantic atmosphere takes a sudden turn for the worse as Kang Ji Sun says in voice-over, “Overnight, the world suddenly changed as if it were a lie.”
The once seemingly smitten couple then takes turns sitting in what appears to be a police interrogation room, offering conflicting accounts of the same incident. Kang Ji Sun insists, “I’m telling you, it’s not a lie!” Meanwhile, Min Joon Ho declares, “It’s a misunderstanding!” before adding, “It makes no sense.”
Min Joon Ho goes on to shout over the phone, “Please stop telling that ridiculous lie!” At the same time, a furious Kang Ji Sun says threateningly, “If you’ve done something, you have to pay the price.”
The teaser ends with someone announcing in voice-over, “Out of the two of you, the person who lied is you.”

Jung Jun Won Struggles To Protect Kong Hyo Jin’s Secret As Lee Sang Yi Gets Closer To The Truth In “A Bona Fide Killer”
Kong Hyo Jin’s secret identity is on the verge of being revealed in “A Bona Fide Killer”!
Spoilers
With only two episodes remaining until its finale, “A Bona Fide Killer” continues to portray the conflict between Kwon Tae Sung (Jung Jun Won), who has discovered Yu Bo Na’s identity, and Lee Dong Jin (Lee Sang Yi), who is tracking her down.
Previously, Kwon Tae Sung was shocked when he realized that the voice of the person who saved him at the scene of the Kingfisher sniper attack eight years ago sounded just like his wife, Yu Bo Na. As he recalled moments when Kingfisher’s movements overlapped with Yu Bo Na’s, he eventually concluded that his wife was Kingfisher.
Kwon Tae Sung, confused by Yu Bo Na’s identity as Kingfisher, ultimately chose to protect her by lying to Lee Dong Jin and claiming Kingfisher is a man.
However, Lee Dong Jin has not stopped his investigation despite Kwon Tae Sung’s statement. After previously obtaining a clue that a woman dressed as a Red Devil (Korean football supporter) was present at the sniper scene eight years ago, he also discovered that Oh Hyun Nam (Ha Yul Ri), a witness to Kingfisher, works at the same company as Yu Bo Na. His suspicions grew further after he obtained dashcam footage showing Yu Bo Na taking down a voice phishing scammer.
Meanwhile, a new shooting took place at the end of episode 12. The peaceful scene of Yu Bo Na and Kwon Tae Sung spending time with their daughter at an amusement park was intercut with a mysterious middle-aged man being shot in the middle of the city.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting and its connection to Kingfisher have yet to be revealed. Whether Kwon Tae Sung can protect his wife’s secret until the end and whether Lee Dong Jin will uncover the truth and how the new incident will affect Yu Bo Na’s family will be revealed in the remaining episodes.

Kong Hyo Jin’s Past Resurfaces Through Her New Target As Jung Jun Won And Lee Sang Yi Clash In “A Bona Fide Killer”
Spoilers
Previously on “A Bona Fide Killer,” Yu Bo Na swiftly shot Jang Eun Hak (Kim Min Sang), who was released from prison after serving time for murdering Lee Dong Jin’s (Lee Sang Yi) parents 20 years ago. The public was thrown into an uproar by Kingfisher’s unprecedented shooting in an alley. In particular, Yu Bo Na narrowly avoided having her identity exposed when Kwon Tae Sung (Jung Jun Won) and Lee Dong Jin both appeared at the scene.
The newly released stills show Yu Bo Na looking confused as she is overwhelmed by memories of the past ahead of a meeting with a new client. This time, her client is a child abuser who committed a heinous crime but was released after receiving a relatively light sentence.
Yu Bo Na was previously shown as a child holding someone’s hand while looking at a burning orphanage, and her past will once again come to the surface through this case.
Meanwhile, Yu Bo Na and Kwon Tae Sung go on a date at an amusement park with their daughter. The three enjoy a rare moment of leisure as they ride amusement park attractions and take happy family photos together. However, another crisis soon threatens their peaceful daily lives.
The conflict between Kwon Tae Sung and Lee Dong Jin over Kingfisher’s identity also continues. Kwon Tae Sung was at the scene of Kingfisher’s shooting twice in the past. As a result, Lee Dong Jin persistently questions Kwon Tae Sung about what happened at the time. While Kwon Tae Sung tries to hide the truth to protect his family, Lee Dong Jin seeks to uncover Kingfisher’s identity, heightening the tension between them.
The production team said, “During her meeting with the child abuser client, Yu Bo Na will be forced to confront memories of her past. Please watch closely to see what choice Yu Bo Na, who appears confused unlike her usual self, will ultimately make.”
They added, “The psychological battle between Lee Dong Jin, who is trying to get closer to the truth about Kingfisher, and Kwon Tae Sung, who is trying to avoid Kingfisher while concealing the truth, will further heighten the drama’s immersion.”

Jung Jun Won Digs Into The Truth Behind Kong Hyo Jin’s Final Kill Before She Went Off The Radar In “A Bona Fide Killer”
Spoilers
Previously, Kwon Tae Sung (Jung Jun Won) came face-to-face with Kingfisher’s brutal past, which had remained unknown to the public. He discovered that during Kingfisher’s final crime before her disappearance four years ago, she shot and killed a man in front of his seven-year-old son. The revelation that Kwon Tae Sung had also been kidnapped by Sergei (Shin Hyun Soo) in the past further heightened the tension.
The newly released still capture Kingfisher’s Haegong sniper attack four years ago. Yu Bo Na aims her sniper rifle at her target with a sharp gaze. As the incident marked Kingfisher’s final crime before her first disappearance four years ago, attention is focused on the truth of what happened that day.
In particular, questions are mounting over whether Yu Bo Na knew that the boy was at the scene and still shot his father. Sergei then emerges as an unexpected variable, putting the two at odds.
In the present, Kwon Tae Sung becomes suspicious of the Haegong incident from four years ago and begins an in-depth investigation. He is troubled by mixed emotions as he recalls the child who lost his ability to speak after witnessing his father being shot and killed by Kingfisher. He then personally tracks down the victim and those around him as he closes in on the truth.
Meanwhile, Yu Bo Na is seen deep in thought ahead of a meeting with a new client. She looks seriously at the client’s documents as she realizes the client is unexpectedly connected to her, while team leader Kim Bong Pal (Sung Dong Il) watches her with concern. It remains to be seen what choice killer Yu Bo Na will make and what consequences her decision will bring.

3 Points To Keep An Eye On In Seo Kang Jun And Ahn Eun Jin’s Upcoming Drama “A Love Other Than Yours”
Get ready for the premiere of KBS’s upcoming drama “A Love Other Than Yours”!
“A Love Other Than Yours” is a realistic romance drama that follows a couple in their 10th year of dating as they experience unexpected emotional changes in a relationship that once felt familiar.
Ahead of the drama’s premiere, “A Love Other Than Yours” has revealed three keywords that will drive viewers to become deeply immersed in the story!
1. The familiar us
Namgoong Ho (Seo Kang Jun) and Lee Mi Do (Ahn Eun Jin) are lovers who know each other better than anyone, from their tastes and habits to the expressions they understand without having to say a word.
This deep familiarity is reflected in Namgoong Ho’s line, “Your dream made my heart flutter,” previously revealed through teasers. His words convey his heartfelt support for Lee Mi Do’s dream of becoming a film director as he cheered her on more closely than anyone.
However, the reality Lee Mi Do has dreamed of does not unfold according to plan. As the projects she has been preparing for fall through one after another, she gradually loses confidence. Through it all, Namgoong Ho quietly remains by her side.
The stills capture the sense of stability that only long-time lovers can create, while also showing the quiet ennui that comes from repetitive routines and the weight of reality. Even as their relationship faces these changes, they remain each other’s closest and most precious person.
2. An unfamiliar flutter
Yet even the most familiar relationship can be shaken by unexpected emotions. When people meet someone new and discover sides of each other they had never noticed before, the relationship can gradually begin to move in a different direction.
This shift takes shape through Attorney Han Tae Seung (Lee Joo Ahn), who offers Lee Mi Do quiet yet steadfast comfort, and junior colleague Park Soo Ah (Jo Aram), who expresses her feelings for Namgoong Ho without hesitation.
However, a new connection does not appear simply to take someone else’s love away. Instead, it becomes a catalyst for confronting emotions that have long been deliberately ignored. As someone familiar begins to feel unfamiliar and an everyday life once taken for granted is shaken, the unvarnished reality of relationships that everyone has experienced at least once comes to light.
3. A strange me
When love begins to waver, the first thing to change is not the other person but oneself. A familiar daily life begins to feel unfamiliar, and emotions once taken for granted become a source of confusion.
Namgoong Ho and Lee Mi Do struggle to protect their relationship, but in the process, they come face-to-face with versions of themselves that are different from before.
Ultimately, “A Love Other Than Yours” is not simply a story about the end of an old love or the beginning of a new one. Instead, it captures the process of looking back at the self that was forgotten within a relationship and gradually growing as a person through love.
“A Love Other Than Yours” will premiere on September 12 at 9:20 p.m. KST.

Lee Jung Eun And Kong Hyo Jin’s Bizarre Family Trip Hides A Dark Secret In “The Journey To Gyeongju”
The upcoming film “The Journey to Gyeongju” has unveiled intriguing new stills!
“The Journey to Gyeongju” is a family revenge film about a mother and three daughters who embark on a “killer” journey after waiting eight years, all for their youngest daughter Gyeong Ju who never returned from a school field trip.
The newly released stills capture the family’s eventful and bizarre journey toward their destination. In one image, Ok Sil (Lee Jung Eun) and Jang Ju (Kong Hyo Jin) are driving an old yellow van patched up with duct tape along a mountainside. Their grim expressions immediately suggest that this is far from an ordinary family trip.
In another still, the family stands awkwardly in a line outside a warehouse, wearing matching T-shirts labeled “Mom,” “First Daughter,” “Second Daughter,” and “Third Daughter.”
Adding to the bizarre atmosphere, the family is seen kneeling side by side in front of a traditional memorial table set up in the middle of their accommodation, complete with a cake. The strange juxtaposition of a vacation setting and a memorial ceremony creates an intriguing scene.
Meanwhile, in another photo, Jang Ju, Young Ju (Park So Dam), and Dong Ju (Lee Yeon) are walking through the bushes with their faces tightly wrapped in scarves, seemingly determined to conceal their identities, further deepening the mystery surrounding the three sisters.
Finally, Jang Ju and Dong Ju are seen sprinting through the mountains late at night while wearing blue raincoats and clutching bags, as a group carrying flashlights aggressively chases after them, raising anticipation for what kind of trouble they will encounter.
“The Journey to Gyeongju” is set to hit theaters in Korea on August 26.
