Lee Hong Nae In Talks To Join Byeon Woo Seok In “Solo Leveling” Live-Action Adaptation

Lee Hong Nae may be joining “Solo Leveling!

On July 20, Xportsnews reported that Lee Hong Nae has been cast in Netflix’s upcoming series “Solo Leveling.”

In response to the report, his agency shared, “He has received an offer to appear, but nothing has been confirmed yet.”

“Solo Leveling,” which originally began as a web novel before being adapted into a webtoon and an animated series, tells the story of Sung Jin Woo, an E-rank Hunter—the lowest tier among those who protect the real world from monsters beyond the mysterious Gates. After a near-death experience, he gains extraordinary abilities, and as he levels up, he becomes humanity’s unexpected hope.

Lee Hong Nae has reportedly been offered the role of Kang Tae Sik, a B-rank hunter in the Surveillance Division of the Korean Hunters Association. In the original work, Kang Tae Sik is a villain.

Lee Hong Nae recently impressed viewers with his performance in the TVING series “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier” and also delivered a notable performance in Netflix’s “The East Palace.”

Meanwhile, the drama previously confirmed Byeon Woo Seok will lead the series as Sung Jin Woo, while Han So Hee and Kang You Seok are in talks for the roles of Cha Hae In and Yoo Jin Ho, respectively. Kang Mina, Rain, and Lee Sung Min are also in talks to join the cast.

“Murder Club” is an AI mystery deduction game show where Korea’s top celebrities visit a mysterious club that transforms anyone into a suspect in an epic murder case. Each episode features a new setting and era, and every participant acts as both a unique player and a suspect, engaging in a fierce psychological battle that blends lying, cover-ups, acting, and deduction to identify the single culprit.

Notably, “AI” is the show’s primary weapon. The AI-generated murder case episodes provide a realistic level of immersion as if the actual cast members are reenacting the crime, promising a different kind of fun compared to existing mystery variety shows.

Furthermore, a variety of guests add to the spectacle. TWICE, Stray Kids, And Park Jin Young Invited To Join Grammy Awards’ Recording Academy As Voting Members

The Recording Academy, which is best-known for its annual Grammy Awards, has officially invited TWICE, Stray Kids, and JYP Entertainment founder Park Jin Young to join its ranks!

Last week, the famous American institution revealed that it had extended over 4,000 invitations to “dedicated music creators” and “established music professionals across genres, backgrounds, and disciplines.”

JYP Entertainment has now announced that 18 of its artists—Park Jin Young, the nine members of TWICE, and the eight members of Stray Kids—have been invited to join the Recording Academy as voting members, meaning that they will be eligible to vote for the Grammy Awards.

Meanwhile, JYP Entertainment CEO Jeong Wook and CSO Shin Hyun Kook, who also serves as the CEO of JYP America, have been invited to join as professional members: a type of membership for music executives, managers, publicists, agents, and other team members that work to support music creators.

Formally established in 1957, the Recording Academy held the very first Grammy Awards in 1959. It currently holds the prestigious award ceremony every year to recognize achievements in music, with only its voting members eligible to cast votes and determine which of their peers will be awarded.

Last month, the Recording Academy announced that it would be adding a new Best Asian Pop Music Performance category for the upcoming 2027 Grammy Awards.

Get ready to see So Ji Sub, Yoon Kyung Ho, and Choi Dae Hoon in action as a trio on “Agent Kim Reactivated”!

Based on a popular webtoon, SBS’s “Agent Kim Reactivated” is a new action revenge drama that tells the story of Manager Kim (So Ji Sub), a seemingly ordinary dad with a secret past who puts everything on the line to save his beloved daughter.

Just three episodes into its run, “Agent Kim Reactivated” has already earned the highest viewership ratings of any miniseries in 2026: on July 3, the third episode of the drama soared to an average nationwide rating of 18.8 percent.

The upcoming fourth episode of the drama will feature Manager Kim, Park Jin Chul (Yoon Kyung Ho), and Sung Han Soo (Choi Dae Hoon) teaming up and risking their lives to rescue Manager Kim’s abducted daughter.

Newly released stills from the episode capture the three friends joining forces for the first time in the drama to face off against a formidable enemy. Manager Kim is seen desperately racing to save his daughter with a bloodied Sung Han Soo and an enraged Park Jin Chul offering their loyal support.

Despite having to balance intense action sequences and emotional acting at the same time, the three actors flawlessly pulled off their scenes together and convincingly portrayed the deep trust and bond between their characters even amidst a gritty chase.

“Episode 4 will depict even more intensely Manager Kim’s desperate paternal love for his daughter, as well as the loyalty of Sung Han Soo and Park Jin Chul, who gladly throw themselves into the line of fire for his sake,” said the production team. “Please look forward to a suspenseful chase and the thrilling entertainment delivered by the three actors’ collaboration.”

Jeon Hye Jin In Talks + Joo Hyun Young Reported To Join Oh Jung Se In New Drama

Jeon Hye Jin and Joo Hyun Young may be starring in the upcoming drama “Sunny Baseball Club” (literal title)!

On July 2, Jeon Hye Jin’s agency HODU&U Entertainment stated, “Jeon Hye Jin has received an offer to star in the new drama ‘Sunny Baseball Club’ and is currently reviewing it.”

The same day, it was also reported that Joo Hyun Young will be joining the drama, though her agency has yet to respond to the casting report.

“Sunning Baseball Club” tells the story of married men as they struggle to participate in amateur baseball leagues.

Oh Jung Se is in talks to star as the lead role, with Jeon Hye Jin being offered the role of his wife.

Meanwhile, Joo Hyun Young has reportedly been cast as Joo Ah, a newlywed who has been married for just six months.

The project is the latest work from Min Jin Ki, the director behind the “New Recruit” series and “Salon de Holmes.” The script will be written by Yoon Ki Young, who previously worked with the director on “New Recruit 3” and “New Recruit 4.”

“Sunning Baseball Club” is set to be released in 2027 as a TVING original series.

MBC’s “Fifties Professionals” has shared a glimpse of its upcoming episode!

“Fifties Professionals” is an action-comedy about three seemingly ordinary but secretly dangerous middle-aged men who are brought back into action by destiny. The three men, who once reigned at the top of their respective fields, find themselves exiled to the remote island of Yeongseon after a mysterious incident. There, they begin a bittersweet and comedic quest to uncover the truth about the fateful day from 10 years ago that changed their lives.

Previously on “Fifties Professionals,” Jung Ho Myung (Shin Ha Kyun) saw through Bulgae (Oh Jung Se)’s feigned amnesia and set a trap. Bulgae revealed his true colors, stole the receiver, and fled, but this was within Jung Ho Myung’s expectations, and it was revealed that even the stolen receiver was a fake.

At the end of the episode, Jung Ho Myung, holding the real receiver, extended a hand and proposed cooperation to Bulgae, while unidentified knife-wielders also appeared.

The newly released stills show Jung Ho Myung, Bulgae, Kang Beom Ryong (Heo Sung Tae), and Ma Gong Bok (Lee Hak Joo) discussing an operation together. The three, who had previously deceived and used one another, are now standing side by side. It remains to be seen whether their cooperation will become the decisive move in a counteroffensive against Han Kyung Wook (Kim Sang Kyung).

On June 18, Chae Won Bin’s agency OUTER UNIVERSE confirmed that the actress will be starring in the upcoming Disney+ original series “Moving 2.”

Based on the webtoon of the same name by writer Kang Full, “Moving” is a superhero action drama about teenagers with hidden superhuman powers and their parents who harbor painful secrets from their pasts.

While Season 1 focused on younger leads like Bong Seok (Lee Jung Ha), Hui Soo (Go Youn Jung), and Gang Hoon (Kim Do Hoon), the upcoming season is expected to shift its focus more toward newly introduced characters and the adult generation who have returned to their daily lives following the “Jeongwon High School Incident,” as they move to protect their loved ones while facing new threats. On May 14, Lee Ki Taek’s agency KEYEAST confirmed, “It’s true Lee Ki Taek will be joining ‘2 Days & 1 Night Season 4.’”

Earlier on May 12, it was announced that Yoo Seon Ho, the youngest member of the cast who joined in December 2022, will be departing from the program.
