On the previous episode of “Spooky in Love,” Cheon Yeo Ri (Park Eun Bin), who had been facing pressure from her grandmother to get engaged to Kang Min Hwan (Ong Seong Wu), shocked everyone by suddenly introducing Ma Gang Wook (Yang Se Jong) as her fiancé at a family gathering.

In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming episode, it now appears to be Cheon Yeo Ri’s turn to meet the “in-laws.” While escorting a drunk Ma Gang Wook home, Cheon Yeo Ri is caught by his grandmother Paeng Myo Soon (Cha Mi Kyung), leading to an impromptu vetting session that she wasn’t prepared for.

Cheon Yeo Ri, who arrives at Ma Gang Wook’s home together with his work colleague Go Pil Dong (Lee Chang Hoon), is clearly caught off guard by the appearance of his grandmother. But in contrast to the flustered Cheon Yeo Ri, who wears an awkward smile, Paeng Myo Sun’s gaze is both intensely curious and somewhat wary as she inspects the woman who has brought her grandson home.

The two women ultimately sit down for a conversation at Ma Gang Wook’s house, where Paeng Myo Sun seizes the opportunity to bombard Cheon Yeo Ri with an unending barrage of questions.

However, at the end of the latest episode, Cheon Yeo Ri responded to the pressure by unexpectedly bringing Ma Gang Wook (Yang Se Jong) to a family dinner and announcing a fake engagement.

A remake of the 2011 film “Spellbound,” “Spooky in Love” is an occult romance drama about the chaotic partnership between Cheon Yeo Ri (Park Eun Bin), a hotel heiress who can see ghosts, and Ma Gang Wook (Yang Se Jong), a passionate prosecutor who is terrified of them.

The newly released teaser features the unpredictable first encounter between the two. Cheon Yeo Ri can see and hear ghosts, and she also knows that anyone whose hand she touches will begin to see ghosts as well. Because of this, she distances herself from others, saying that “I will not be able to hold anyone’s hand in the future.” However, Ma Gang Wook, driven by strong determination, asks for help, saying “Lend me your hand,” and begins to persistently follow her.

Ma Gang Wook is then seen holding Cheon Yeo Ri’s hand without hesitation and saying, “You’re not my type,” which leaves her flustered. Cheon Yeo Ri, unexpectedly rejected, responds, “I’m not curious about your type!”

However, in one surprising scene, Cheon Yeo Ri and Ma Gang Wook—who constantly clash—wake up in the same bed under the same blanket. It remains to be seen what led the two to spend the night together and where their unpredictable relationship is headed.

Park Eun Bin stars as Cheon Yeo Ri, an ice-cold chaebol heiress who is the CEO of the country’s top luxury hotel, while Yang Se Jong plays Ma Gang Wook, an ace prosecutor with a strong sense of justice and a lot of empathy.

The newly released poster captures Cheon Yeo Ri and Ma Gang Wook sitting side by side on a sofa late at night. Although Cheon Yeo Ri’s gaze is fixed straight ahead with an aloof expression, her hand rests atop Ma Gang Wook’s, hinting at the romance to come.

Meanwhile, an eerie shadow pressed up against the window behind them adds an ominous vibe to the otherwise romantic scene.

The poster’s caption hints at the supernatural world that will open up to Ma Gang Wook after holding hands with Cheon Yeo Ri, reading, “The moment our hands touch, a spooky romance begins.”
