July Boy Group Member Brand Reputation Rankings Announced

The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for individual boy group members!

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, communication, and community awareness indexes of 755 boy group members, using big data collected from June 18 to July 18.

BTS’s Jimin held onto his spot at the top of this month’s list with a brand reputation index of 3,893,749. High-ranking phrases in his keyword analysis included “ARMY,” “Munich,” and “blond,” while his highest-ranking related terms included “communicate,” “surpass,” and “steadfast.” Jimin’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 93.40 percent positive reactions.

Wanna One’s Park Ji Hoon came in at a close second with a brand reputation index of 3,687,282, while BTS’s Jungkook ranked third with a score of 3,359,098.

ATEEZ’s San shot to fourth place after seeing a whopping 815.27 percent increase in his brand reputation index since last month, bringing his total score to 1,919,276 for July.

Finally, CORTIS’s Keonho rounded out the top five with a brand reputation index of 1,902,631, marking a 5.77 percent rise in his score since June.

Upcoming drama “The Apartment Job” has released a new teaser!

“The Apartment Job” follows former Oasis Gang boss Park Hae Kang (Ji Sung), who runs for the apartment residents’ council president election in order to get his hands on the building’s hidden money. Along the way, he joins forces with residents to expose corruption and wrongdoing.

The newly released teaser opens with Park Hae Kang bowing respectfully to a group of VIPs atop a mountain before the next scenes reveal that he’s the operator of an illegal gambling den.

The mood shifts when Park Yong Man (Jung Jin Young) voices his concern, warning, “How much longer are you going to keep running that gambling den? It’s dangerous. You should shut it down and get out while you still can,” highlighting the close bond between the two.

The teaser then introduces Lee Chung Won (Park Byung Eun), a construction company CEO and penthouse resident. He asks, “Do you have 10 billion won (approximately $6,631,100)?” as viewers are introduced to the secret organization “One Club,” whose membership fee is 10 billion won.

Soon after, Hae Kang’s gambling operation is shut down, and Yong Man is taken away by the authorities. Determined to raise money to save him, Hae Kang begins searching for a new scheme. Realizing that weddings bring in large amounts of congratulatory money, he and his gang decide to stage a fake wedding. Kang Ha Ri (Ha Yun Kyung) reacts in shock, asking, “Me? I’m getting married today?” The teaser then shows Ha Ri in a wedding gown and Hae Kang posing as the groom as they walk into the wedding hall together, hinting at how the two become entangled.

In the latter half of the teaser, Hae Kang’s plan to earn 10 billion won shifts to an apartment complex. Gecko (Kim Won Hae) tells him, “There’s a lot of money in that apartment that you don’t know about. You could even make 10 billion won there!”

The teaser ends with Hae Kang smiling and raising one hand as he says in a voice-over, “You’re telling me I can make 10 billion won in this apartment?”

“A Shop for Killers” Season 2 has unveiled new stills of Lee Dong Wook in character!

Based on a novel by “The Killer’s Shopping List” author Kang Ji Young, “A Shop for Killers” is an action drama that follows Jeong Ji An (Kim Hye Joon), who moves in with her uncle Jeong Jin Man (Lee Dong Wook) after her parents’ passing. Jin Man runs a shopping mall, but when he suddenly dies, Ji An inherits his secret and dangerous legacy and becomes the target of suspicious killers. Season 2 follows Ji An, who becomes the shopping mall’s new CEO. She joins forces with Jin Man, who returns alive, to fight back against the global forces of Babylon.

This season unveils the hidden backstory of Jin Man, who was thought to be dead, and his actions after returning alive. The stills show Jin Man as he designs a large-scale scheme while preparing a counterattack alongside the Murthehelp team.

Lee Dong Wook said, “It is an honor to return for Season 2, and I am happy to once again show Jeong Jin Man. Jin Man is a character who does not experience large emotional fluctuations, and he does not show them outwardly, but in this season you will be able to see moments where he reveals his emotions.”

Director Lee Kwon said, “In Season 2, Jin Man also goes through many trials and hardships, and there will be more scenes where emotions are expressed more than before.”

Another point of interest is the upgraded action. Action director Jeon Jae Hyung, who worked on the previous installment, praised Lee Dong Wook, saying, “He is already a fully formed actor when it comes to action. In Season 2, action unfolds in new settings that have not been shown before. We did extensive training to ensure that everything, including dark venue action scenes and wire work sequences, could be performed without a stunt double.”

BTS’s Jimin continued his reign at the top of the list this month with a brand reputation index of 7,663,023. High-ranking phrases in his keyword analysis included “ARMY,” “Busan concert,” and “13th anniversary,” while his highest-ranking related terms included “together,” “reciprocate,” and “invite.” Jimin’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 93.53 percent positive reactions.

Wanna One’s Park Ji Hoon took second place with a brand reputation index of 7,235,084, marking a 12.49 percent increase in his score since May.

Meanwhile, BTS’s V rose to third place with a brand reputation index of 6,011,438 for June.

BTS’s Jungkook came in fourth place with a brand reputation index of 5,631,360, and his bandmate Jin rounded out the top five with a score of 5,329,750.

Based on the Spanish play of the same name, “Notes from the Last Row” is a psychological thriller that follows Heo Mun Oh (Choi Min Sik), a failed writer-turned-Korean literature professor who hasn’t published a new work in 20 years. After discovering the extraordinary writing talent of Lee Kang (Choi Hyun Wook), a student who always sits in the back row of his classroom, Heo Mun Oh gradually becomes obsessed with the young man’s writing.

The series is generating anticipation for both the lead actors’ performances and the direction of Kim Kyu Tae, who is known for his nuanced storytelling.

“Reborn Rookie” has unveiled new stills of its key supporting characters!

“Reborn Rookie” follows Kang Yong Ho (Son Hyun Joo), the powerful chairman of the leading conglomerate Choi Sung Group, who is revered as a business genius. After an accident, however, he unexpectedly finds himself living a second life when his soul swaps into the youthful body of a soccer player named Hwang Jun Hyun (Lee Jun Young), forcing him to start over as a rookie employee at his own company.

Following the accident involving Chairman Kang Yong Ho, a fierce succession battle erupts over the vacant chairman position. Alongside Hwang Jun Hyun (Lee Jun Young)—who now carries Kang Yong Ho’s soul—attention is also focused on the allies who stand beside the chairman’s children: youngest daughter Kang Bang Geul (Lee Ju Myoung), eldest daughter Kang Jae Kyung (Jeon Hye Jin), and eldest son Kang Jae Sung (Jin Goo).

Lee Sung Wook will play Park Bong Gi, the manager of Choi Sung Trading’s Materials Team 2, who becomes an ally to interns Hwang Jun Hyun and Kang Bang Geul after they are assigned to his team. Once regarded as a star employee in the audit department, Park Bong Gi was demoted after uncovering corruption within the Choi Sung family. Kim Jong Tae will portray Lee Sang Jae, the loyal right-hand man of Chairman Kang Yong Ho and an executive director at Choi Sung Group’s strategic planning headquarters. Having stayed by the chairman’s side for years, Lee Sang Jae closely monitors those seeking to take over the company after the accident. However, he is thrown into confusion when Hwang Jun Hyun suddenly claims, “I am Kang Yong Ho.”

Meanwhile, Lee Seo An will play Na Eun Se, the eldest daughter-in-law of the Choi Sung family and the heiress of Tae Ha Group. As the strategic “kingmaker” behind Kang Jae Sung, whom she married in an arranged marriage, she does everything possible to help her husband avoid losing the succession battle against his twin sister Kang Jae Kyung.

Kwon Hae Sung will take on the role of Min Seok Do, a neurosurgeon at Hangang University Hospital and the husband of Kang Jae Kyung. After meeting Kang Jae Kyung through a hospital sponsorship event, the two eventually marry. Determined to support his wife, who is willing to do anything to seize control of Choi Sung Group, Min Seok Do also resolves to stand by her side no matter what, showcasing the power of his devotion.

Individual Idol Brand Reputation Rankings Announced

The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for individual idols!

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community awareness indexes of 1,730 idols, using big data collected from March 23 to April 23.

Wanna One’s Park Ji Hoon continued his reign at the top of the list with a brand reputation index of 9,217,765. High-ranking phrases in his keyword analysis included “RE:FLECT,” “boyish charm,” and “Bodyelse,” while his highest-ranking related terms included “release,” “look forward to,” and “make a comeback.” Park Ji Hoon’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 93.61 percent positive reactions.

BTS’s Jimin came in at a close second with a brand reputation index of 9,187,795, marking a 20.45 percent increase in his score since last month.

BTS’s Jungkook shot to third place after seeing a whopping 174.83 percent rise in his brand reputation index, bringing his total score for the month to 8,333,406.

BTS’s V held onto his spot at fourth place with a brand reputation index of 7,876,522, marking a 41.01 percent increase in his score since last month.

Finally, IVE’s Jang Won Young rounded out the top five with a brand reputation index of 7,161,255, marking a 14.41 percent rise in her score.
