BTS’s celebrations for their upcoming 13th anniversary have officially begun!

Every year, BTS celebrates the anniversary of their debut with a “BTS FESTA,” a two-week event during which they release lots of new content and surprises for their fans.

With all of the members back from the military, BTS was finally able to continue their yearly tradition of releasing special “family portrait” photos for their anniversary.

“Sold Out On You” Kicks Off 2nd Half On Quiet Ratings

SBS’s “Sold Out on You” has entered the second half of its run!

On May 13, the romantic comedy starring Ahn Hyo Seop and Chae Won Bin kicked off its second half on its lowest ratings to date. According to Nielsen Korea, the seventh episode of “Sold Out on You” dipped slightly to an average nationwide rating of 2.5 percent, marking an all-time low for the show.

“Sold Out on You” airs on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9 p.m. KST.

“The Legend Of Kitchen Soldier” Kicks Off With Strong Premiere Ratings

“The Legend of Kitchen Soldier” is off to a strong start!

According to Nielsen Korea, the May 11 premiere episode of “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier” achieved an average nationwide viewership rating of 5.8 percent, kicking off to a strong start.

“The Legend of Kitchen Soldier” is a military fantasy-comedy drama that tells the story of army cook Kang Sung Jae (Park Ji Hoon). When a mysterious quest window pops up in front of him one day, Private Kang Sung Jae begins an unexpected journey that will lead him down the path toward becoming a legendary cook.

Following the reveal of the culprit, ENA’s “The Scarecrow” garnered an average nationwide viewership rating of 6.5 percent, a small decrease from the previous episode’s rating and personal best record of 7.4 percent, which also broke ENA’s record for the highest viewership ratings ever achieved by an ENA Monday-Tuesday drama.

“Perfect Crown” Kicks Off On 3rd-Highest Premiere Ratings Of Any MBC Friday-Saturday Drama In History

MBC’s new drama “Perfect Crown” is off to a strong start!

Set in an alternate universe where modern-day Korea is a constitutional monarchy, “Perfect Crown” tells the love story of Seong Hui Ju (IU), a chaebol heiress who has everything but is only a commoner in status, and Grand Prince Ian (Byeon Woo Seok), a prince who has nothing despite being the son of the king.

On April 10, the highly-anticipated new series kicked off on the third-highest premiere ratings of any Friday-Saturday drama in MBC history.

According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode of “Perfect Crown” scored an average nationwide rating of 7.8 percent—more than double the finale rating of 3.1 percent achieved by its predecessor “In Your Radiant Season” (the drama that previously occupied its time slot) last week.

The only MBC Friday-Saturday dramas to premiere to higher ratings to date are “Chief Detective 1958” (which kicked off on a nationwide average of 10.1 percent) and “Knight Flower” (7.9 percent).

Meanwhile, SBS’s “Phantom Lawyer” entered the second half of its run on an average nationwide rating of 6.7 percent.
