Kim Hyang Gi And Ahn Dong Gu’s Dream Of A Home Takes Them Two Floors Underground In “Breathless Love”

The upcoming youth romance film “Breathless Love” has confirmed its November release and unveiled two posters!

“Breathless Love” is a youthful survival romance about Hwa Ran and Yi Wan, a couple in their 20s who have nothing but their love for each other and their dreams. Hwa Ran, an aspiring webtoon artist, and Yi Wan, an aspiring rapper, hope to build a future together, but after losing their rental deposit in a housing scam, they are forced to live in a basement two floors underground. As their home, finances, and future all become uncertain, the couple struggles to hold on to their love and dreams while navigating the harsh realities of life.

Kim Hyang Gi and Ahn Dong Gu star as Hwa Ran and Yi Wan, respectively. Despite their frequent bickering, the couple remains each other’s closest source of support, capturing the relatable ups and downs of young love.

The first poster highlights the basement that has become their unlikely home, accompanied by the tagline, “There’s no such thing as a cheap and good home,” which hints at the film’s blend of humor and harsh reality.

Watch: Kim Hyang Gi, Choi Daniel, Oh Yoon Ah, And More Make Up A Colorful Salon Team In “Fly High Butterfly”

JTBC’s upcoming Saturday-Sunday drama “Fly High Butterfly” has unveiled a new character teaser!

“Fly High Butterfly” tells the stories of hairstylists and interns at the hair salon “Fly High Butterfly” as customers seeking self-affirmation visit them. The cast includes Kim Hyang Gi, Choi Daniel, Oh Yoon Ah, Shim Eun Woo, Park Jung Woo, Moon Tae Yoo, and Kim Ka Hee.

The teaser video introduces the diverse lineup of hairstylists and interns at hair salon “Fly High Butterfly.”

Kim Hyang Gi plays Gi Peum, an intern with a gloomy demeanor. Her expression is so dark that customers even ask her, “Did you just come back from a funeral?” Her unusual aura is enough to make even a child burst into tears, raising curiosity about what kind of transformation Gi Peum will undergo in “Fly High Butterfly.”

Choi Daniel takes on the role of Kwang Soo, a designer overflowing with self-confidence. He bluntly tells customers, “That doesn’t suit you at all,” while confidently declaring, “I don’t fail. I’m Kwang Soo after all.”

Oh Yoon Ah plays Michelle, the owner of Fly High Butterfly who has a warm and sociable personality. Michelle naturally gets involved in her customers’ personal lives, asking questions like, “Does a sister-in-law like that even exist these days?” and “How long have you been dating?” True to her belief that a hairstylist should care for more than just a customer’s hair, Michelle also strives to touch their hearts.

Joining them are Shim Eun Woo as Jen, a designer who leaves a strong first impression with her heavy makeup but has a soft heart beneath the surface, and Park Jung Woo as Mu Yeol, an intern with a cheeky personality who likes to flirt with female customers.

Moon Tae Yoo plays intern Mr. Woo, while Kim Ka Hee takes on the role of intern Soo Ri.

Watch: Kim Hyang Gi, Kim Ka Hee, And More Learn To Love Themselves In Heartwarming New Teaser For “Fly High Butterfly”

JTBC’s upcoming Saturday-Sunday drama “Fly High Butterfly” has released a new healing teaser!

In the teaser released on September 3, cold words are poured out at those running toward their dreams. Comments that easily judge efforts toward one’s dreams—such as “If effort were all it took, wouldn’t everyone be Kim Yuna or BTS? You should find another job while you’re still young”—continue one after another. Moments of being judged by others’ standards from appearance to lifestyle are also depicted.

However, they do not easily give in. Scenes follow showing them trying to view their own lives for themselves, with lines like, “Does being overweight mean I can’t manage myself? Who are you to know what is impossible even with effort?” The line, “People are all much the same. Most of us aren’t anything special,” delivers the message that it is okay even if you are not perfect.

The phrase that follows, “To you who are hurt and shrinking away, this is the story of us trying to love ourselves,” encapsulates the key message the drama intends to convey. Added to this is Ahn Kwang Soo’s (Choi Daniel) powerful shout, “You can do it!” as they cheer each other on.

Kim Hyang Gi Faces Possible Expulsion While Cha Hak Yeon’s Sudden Hospital Visit Raises Alarm In “Absolute Value Of Romance” Finale

Coupang Play’s “Absolute Value of Romance” is heading into its finale!

“Absolute Value of Romance” tells the story of high school student Yeo Eui Ju (Kim Hyang Gi), who secretly writes a BL novel featuring her handsome teachers as the main characters. However, when she winds up running into these teachers in real life at unexpected moments, her once-peaceful school life takes a turbulent turn.

Spoilers

The newly released stills hint at the massive consequences Yeo Eui Ju faces after being revealed as “Lee Mook,” the author of the web novel “We Were Friends.” Swept up in a controversy that shakes the entire school, Eui Ju is summoned before the disciplinary committee and even faces the possibility of expulsion, heightening tension over how the school’s biggest troublemaker will overcome the crisis—especially after her parents are called in as well.

The stills also tease troubling developments surrounding Ga Woo Soo (Cha Hak Yeon). Woo Soo is seen leaving class to visit the hospital, while Noh Da Ju (Kim Jae Hyun), Jung Ki Jeon (Sohn Jeong Hyuck), and Yoon Dong Joo (Kim Dong Gyu) watch him with concern, creating a much heavier atmosphere than usual and hinting at a new crisis involving Woo Soo.

After hearing the news, Eui Ju rushes to the hospital, where the drama will finally unveil an unexpected connection and fateful bond that has tied the two characters together since 10 years ago, raising anticipation for the finale even further.

Attention is also focused on the future of the secret web novel “We Were Friends,” which had halted serialization following a public apology. One of the biggest questions heading into the finale is whether Eui Ju, now pushed to the brink, will be able to finish the story’s final chapter. At the same time, the tangled relationships between the novel’s characters—Joo Si On (Cha Hak Yeon), Han Jae Min (Kim Jae Hyun), Kang Tae Ha (Sohn Jeong Hyuck), and Choi Yoon (Kim Dong Gyu)—are expected to keep viewers deeply immersed until the very end.

Episodes 15 and 16 of “Absolute Value of Romance” air on May 29 at 8 p.m. KST.

Watch: Kim Hyang Gi, Cha Hak Yeon, And More Give Their All While Filming Comedic Scenes For “Absolute Value Of Romance”

The set of “Absolute Value of Romance” is full of laughter!

In the new behind-the-scenes video, Kim Hyang Gi and Cha Hak Yeon rehearse their movements to portray Ga Wu Su (Cha Hak Yeon) stealing a look at Yeo Eui Ju’s (Kim Hyang Gi) laptop. The two suggest comical ideas, giving it their all—even nearly falling down—to create a hilarious scene.

In the scene with Cha Hak Yeon, Kim Jae Hyun, Sohn Jeong Hyuck, and Kim Dong Gyu, the four have trouble holding in their laughter. Kim Jae Hyun even adds an ad-lib to make the scene more realistic and funny.

Although the director wonders if Yeo Eui Ju would be able to write her novel with Ga Wu Su watching over her, Cha Hak Yeon playfully comments that his character wouldn’t mind watching her write. Throughout filming, the cast can’t help but laugh at the portrayal of their characters, creating a light-hearted atmosphere on set.
