Ji Sung Tries To Dance His Way To Winning His Election In “The Apartment Job”

JTBC’s “The Apartment Job” has shared a new glimpse of Ji Sung’s passionate election campaign!

“The Apartment Job” tells the story of former Oasis Gang boss Park Hae Kang (Ji Sung), who runs for president of an apartment complex’s resident council in order to get his hands on the complex’s hidden reserve fund. In the process, he winds up joining forces with the other residents in order to expose deep-rooted corruption.

Previously on “The Apartment Job,” Park Hae Kang confirmed that his apartment complex had a hidden 17.8 billion won (approximately $12 million) reserve fund for long-term repairs. He then entered into a fake marriage contract with Kang Ha Ri (Ha Yun Kyung) and formed a fake family with his squad in order to prepare for the resident council election.

In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming third episode, Park Hae Kang goes all out in his efforts to be elected building representative. In a desperate attempt to win the votes of his neighbors, Park Hae Kang and his crew sport matching bright pink campaign jackets as they perform a dance routine together in the middle of the apartment complex.

The drama’s production team commented, “During filming, Ji Sung turned the set into a sea of laughter by shouting ‘I’m Park Hae Kang, Candidate No. 3’ in a booming voice and unleashing his overflowing energy. Kim Won Hae, Jung Soon Won, Hwang Hee, and Kim Kyu Won also caught the eye with their synchronized dancing and witty ad-libs.”

The next episode of “The Apartment Job” will air on July 18 at 10:40 p.m. KST.

In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming second episode, Park Hae Kang advances to the next step of his “fake family” project, gathering his squad to take family photos together.

First, Park Hae Kang and his fake wife Kang Ha Ri (Ha Yun Kyung) make a picture-perfect married couple as their fake son Gyeong Buk (Kim Han Gyeol) winks impishly at the camera.

They are joined by Gecko (Kim Won Hae), who has transformed into a fashionable grandfather, along with “brothers” Gyeong Nam (Jung Soon Won), Je Gil (Hwang Hee), and Big Guy (Kim Kyu Won).

Upcoming drama “The Apartment Job” has released a new teaser!

“The Apartment Job” follows former Oasis Gang boss Park Hae Kang (Ji Sung), who runs for the apartment residents’ council president election in order to get his hands on the building’s hidden money. Along the way, he joins forces with residents to expose corruption and wrongdoing.

The newly released teaser opens with Park Hae Kang bowing respectfully to a group of VIPs atop a mountain before the next scenes reveal that he’s the operator of an illegal gambling den.

The mood shifts when Park Yong Man (Jung Jin Young) voices his concern, warning, “How much longer are you going to keep running that gambling den? It’s dangerous. You should shut it down and get out while you still can,” highlighting the close bond between the two.

The teaser then introduces Lee Chung Won (Park Byung Eun), a construction company CEO and penthouse resident. He asks, “Do you have 10 billion won (approximately $6,631,100)?” as viewers are introduced to the secret organization “One Club,” whose membership fee is 10 billion won.

Soon after, Hae Kang’s gambling operation is shut down, and Yong Man is taken away by the authorities. Determined to raise money to save him, Hae Kang begins searching for a new scheme. Realizing that weddings bring in large amounts of congratulatory money, he and his gang decide to stage a fake wedding. Kang Ha Ri (Ha Yun Kyung) reacts in shock, asking, “Me? I’m getting married today?” The teaser then shows Ha Ri in a wedding gown and Hae Kang posing as the groom as they walk into the wedding hall together, hinting at how the two become entangled.

In the latter half of the teaser, Hae Kang’s plan to earn 10 billion won shifts to an apartment complex. Gecko (Kim Won Hae) tells him, “There’s a lot of money in that apartment that you don’t know about. You could even make 10 billion won there!”

The teaser ends with Hae Kang smiling and raising one hand as he says in a voice-over, “You’re telling me I can make 10 billion won in this apartment?”

Park Hae Kang then secretly hands Kang Ha Ri a contract. “The Apartment Job” follows former gangster Hae Kang (Ji Sung) as he runs for apartment association president to get his hands on the building’s hidden money and teams up with residents to expose corruption.

The teaser opens with elevator doors sliding open to reveal Park Hae Kang. Set in a VIP-only illegal gambling den, he is described as “a ruthless guy when it comes to making money and collecting money.” The scene introduces the former Oasis gang boss, known for a 0 percent uncollected debt record. Action and debt collection scenes establish his presence.

The tone shifts as “Gecko” (Kim Won Hae), wearing long johns, shouts, “There’s a lot of blind money in the apartment.” Park Hae Kang, Kim Kyung Nam (Jung Soon Won), Jang Jae Gil (Hwang Hee), and Big Brother (Kim Kyu Won) then find long-term repair reserve funds on a maintenance fee bill and set a new goal, asking, “Is there 10 billion won (approximately $6,664,670) in this apartment?”
