Watch: Lee Jae Wook, Shin Ye Eun, And More Pose For “Doctor On The Edge” Poster Shoot

ENA has given viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the poster shoot for its upcoming drama “Doctor on the Edge”!

“Doctor on the Edge” will tell the love story of public health doctor Do Ji Eui (Lee Jae Wook), who is assigned to the notorious island Pyeondong, and nurse Yook Ha Ri (Shin Ye Eun), who is hiding a secret. After crossing paths on a remote island, they embark on a heartwarming journey of saving lives and learning about love as they get to know the island’s residents.

In the newly released making-of video, cast members Lee Jae Wook, Shin Ye Eun, Hong Min Ki, Lee Soo Kyung, and Kim Yoon Woo are seen posing in medical and military uniforms reflecting their respective roles in the drama. The shoot took place across multiple locations, including a rooftop used to give an open-air, outdoor feeling that suits the island setting of the drama, along with a studio set used for the group poster.

Shin Ye Eun remarked, “I think the many concepts we showed during today’s poster shoot will be able to spark curiosity among viewers about what kind of story might be behind them, which made the shoot feel even more interesting and fun.”

Lee Jae Wook chose the rooftop concept as his favorite, saying, “I think our drama has a refreshing vibe, and I feel that those vibes were well captured, so I was very satisfied with the shoot.”

Lee Jae Wook, Shin Ye Eun, And More Stand Firm In New Drama “Doctor On The Edge” Poster

The upcoming ENA drama “Doctor on the Edge” has unveiled a new poster!

The poster features the Pyeondong Health Center family: Do Ji Eui, Yook Ha Ri, Hyun Chi Yeon (Hong Min Ki), Uhm Jung Sun (Lee Soo Kyung), and Yong Ju Cheon (Kim Yoon Woo).

In the image, the five characters stand with serious expressions, hands on their hips. From a distance, Pyeondong appears to be a green, beautiful island. However, their hair and clothes fluttering in the fierce wind suggest the challenges they are about to face.

Do Ji Eui, who avoids the island but has no choice but to endure it, and Yook Ha Ri, who is keeping a secret, lead the group. They are joined by Hyun Chi Yeon, Uhm Jung Sun, and Yong Ju Cheon, whose confident expressions give off a strong presence.

The phrase “24-hour complaint standby” further increases curiosity about the story of five young people who must persevere on the notoriously troublesome island of Pyeondong, where complaints constantly pour in.

The production team said, “The story follows characters who carry their own worries and anxieties as they build friendship and love while clashing on Pyeondong Island, where they are isolated and complaints continue 24 hours a day. It will offer warm empathy and healing.”

ENA’s upcoming drama “Doctor on the Edge” has shared a glimpse of its first script reading session!

“Doctor on the Edge” is a medical human romance that follows public health doctor Do Ji Eui (Lee Jae Wook), who is sent to the notorious island Pyeondong, avoided by all, and secretive nurse Yook Ha Ri (Shin Ye Eun).

Lee Jae Wook takes on the role of Do Ji Eui, an unlucky public health doctor sent to the dreaded island. Do Ji Eui avoids islands due to a trauma related to the sea but unexpectedly becomes an island boy. Lee Jae Wook portrays the character’s journey with a detailed emotional arc from his guarded and isolated inner world to his growth and change.

Shin Ye Eun plays Yook Ha Ri, a former university hospital nurse known for her kind but nosy personality. She cannot ignore people in need, yet she returns to Pyeondong Island with a secret. Shin Ye Eun captures both Yook Ha Ri’s pure, honest charm and her complex inner emotions in a layered performance.

Hong Min Ki plays Hyun Chi Yeon, a tsundere elite public health doctor.

Lee Soo Kyung plays Uhm Jung Sun, a Pyeondong Island native nurse who is tough on the outside and soft on the inside.

Kim Yoon Woo plays Yong Ju Cheon, an immature “Pyeondongdo idol” and a public health doctor specializing in Korean medicine.

The production team said, “This is a story about people who meet on an isolated island, heal each other’s wounds, and grow into true medical professionals and as individuals. The series will deliver cheerful and heartfelt healing through the young actors’ chemistry, blending warm friendship and love.“
