Seo In Guk And Krystal Confirmed For New Fantasy Office Drama

Seo In Guk and Krystal have been confirmed to lead tvN’s upcoming drama “The Office Worker Who Sees Destiny” (literal translation)!

Based on a web novel, “The Office Worker Who Sees Destiny” is a fantasy office drama that follows a man born with the destiny of a shaman and the ability to see other people’s fates. Dreaming of an ordinary life, he lives as a regular office worker. The drama is directed by Kim Jae Hyun of “Dynamite Kiss” and written by Park Hye Jin of “Café Minamdang.”

Seo In Guk plays Choi Young Hoon. Born with a fate that destined him to become a shaman and bring turmoil to the world, Choi Young Hoon dreams of living an ordinary life while using his ability to read other people’s destinies through fortune telling and physiognomy. By simply holding someone’s hand, he can read their fortune without any prior information. After spending 25 years isolated from the outside world, he begins his career as a rookie office worker at the age of 33.

After joining the major corporation Pilsan Trading, Choi Young Hoon attempts to live as an ordinary employee while keeping his extraordinary abilities hidden. However, he becomes caught up in the corruption, greed, and power struggles within the company, leading him into a series of unexpected events.

Krystal takes on the role of Im Yeon Hee. Born into a life where everyone around her is an enemy, she has pushed forward without giving in and carved out her own path. She grew up in a chaebol family but was pushed out of her household after a childhood incident and then studied abroad, returning equipped with skills and experience.

She later meets Choi Young Hoon amid intense succession battles and internal corporate power struggles. After learning about his special ability, they begin to work together to forge their own destiny. Although she is known for her sharp judgment and strong survival instincts, she reveals a different side of herself through her relationship with Choi Young Hoon.

Watch: Krystal Announces New Solo Single “PWLT”

Krystal is gearing up to release new solo music!

On May 13, Krystal unveiled Episode 2 of “Charging Crystals” through the official YouTube channel of her agency BANA, offering fans a deeper look into the creative process behind her upcoming solo album. The episode ends with the reveal of her new single “PWLT.”

“PWLT,” the second single from Krystal’s first solo album, is set to be released on May 26 at 6 p.m. KST. Physical album pre-orders will run from May 15 at 2 p.m. KST through May 21.

Fans who pre-order the album during the designated period will receive a special poster version that differs from the official poster available after the album’s release.

The new episode also continues to chronicle Krystal’s album-making journey, capturing moments from Jeju’s House of Refuge and Taiwan, featuring recording sessions with Sunset Rollercoaster’s Kuo-Hung Tseng, studio work with acclaimed singer-songwriter and producer Toro y Moi, choreography practice footage, and various behind-the-scenes moments from the album production process.

“Audition 109” has unveiled new character posters ahead of its release!

A sequel to Jung Woo’s representative film “Wish,” “Audition 109” follows Jjanggu (Jung Woo), who leaves Busan for Seoul to chase his dream of becoming an actor. Despite struggling to make ends meet and facing repeated rejection, he refuses to give up, returning to audition rooms time and again.

In his poster, Jjanggu, who dreams of becoming an actor, is seen staring straight ahead with his cap pulled low. His calm yet unwavering gaze reflects the persistence of youth that continues to rise again despite repeated failures, conveying his determination to endure in the unfamiliar city of Seoul.

Meanwhile, Min Hee (Krystal) fixes her gaze on someone with a calm expression. However, her hard-to-read eyes and distant demeanor reveal complex emotions, caught between drawing closer and pulling away.

Jang Jae (Shin Seung Ho) appears slightly flustered, his momentary honesty contrasting with his usual bravado, highlighting his down-to-earth charm as Jjanggu’s close friend.

In contrast, Joon Sang (Hyun Bong Sik) wears a relaxed smile, looking down at someone with composure. His polished suit and confident posture emphasize his position as a rival to Jjanggu.

Jeon Yi Kyung (Krystal) has suffered more than anyone else. First, she was kidnapped by her husband, Min Hwal Seong (Kim Jun Han), who was after her mother’s money. Then, she learned that her trusted friend, Kim Seon (Lim Soo Jung), was her husband’s affair partner, leaving her reeling with betrayal. Determined to make them feel the pain she endured, she chose a path of revenge: kidnapping Kim Seon’s most precious person, her daughter Ki Da Rae (Park Seo Kyung).

Jeon Yi Kyung’s desire for revenge was fueled even more by Ki Su Jong’s lies. To cover up his role in helping Min Hwal Seong with the kidnapping, Ki Su Jong told Jeon Yi Kyung a cowardly lie that his wife, Kim Seon, was the accomplice. How and when this lie will be revealed, and how it will shake the story, remains to be seen.

Although both are kneeling, their intentions could not be more different. Kim Seon pleads desperately for forgiveness from Jeon Yi Kyung, clinging to the hope of protecting her daughter. Meanwhile, Ki Su Jong, who deceived Jeon Yi Kyung, hides his lies and frantically tries to manage the situation to bring his daughter, Da Rae, home safely.
