Kwon Eunbin Parts Ways With Cube Entertainment

After 10 years, Kwon Eunbin has parted ways with Cube Entertainment.

On May 22 KST, Cube Entertainment officially announced that the idol-turned-actress’s exclusive contract with the agency had come to an end.

After entering the spotlight as a Cube Entertainment trainee on the first season of Mnet’s “Produce 101,” Kwon Eunbin joined CLC as a new member in 2016. She later went on to make her acting debut in 2018.

Cube Entertainment’s full statement is as follows:

First, we would like to thank all the fans who give actress Kwon Eunbin their unsparing love and support.
We are making an announcement regarding Kwon Eunbin’s exclusive contract with Cube Entertainment.

After discussing the matter with artist Kwon Eunbin over a long period of time, it has been decided that her exclusive contract will come to an end.

After debuting as a member of CLC in 2016, Kwon Eunbin displayed outstanding abilities as the group’s youngest member and a multitalented all-rounder artist skilled in vocals, rap, and dance. Starting in 2018, she took on the new challenge of acting, and she has broadened her spectrum as an actor by showing heartfelt acting in every project.

We are deeply grateful for the hard work of Kwon Eunbin, who has been with us for 10 years as an artist representing Cube Entertainment, and we will be sincerely rooting for her in the future as she walks a new path as an actor.

Kwon Yul And Kim Sang Kyung To Make Special Appearances In “Fifties Professionals”

MBC’s upcoming drama “Fifties Professionals” has shared glimpses of Kwon Yul’s and Kim Sang Kyung’s special appearances!

“Fifties Professionals” is an action-comedy about three seemingly ordinary but secretly dangerous middle-aged men who are brought back into action by destiny. The three men, who once reigned at the top of their respective fields, find themselves exiled to the remote island of Yeongseon after a mysterious incident. There, they begin a bittersweet and comedic quest to uncover the truth about the fateful day from 10 years ago that changed their lives.

Kim Sang Kyung will appear in the drama as Han Kyung Wook, a former elite black agent for the National Intelligence Service who operated in the field a generation ahead of protagonist Jung Ho Myung (Shin Ha Kyun).

After getting a taste for power and wealth, Han Kyung Wook became involved in illicit dealings linked to North Korea and eventually established a vast criminal network. He then went on to enter the political arena, and after serving two terms as a National Assembly member, he sets his sights on becoming mayor.

Han Kyung Wook’s goal is to turn Yeongseon Island into a major hub for vice and crime in order to obtain even greater wealth and power.

Kwon Yul will play the role of Chairman Do, who boasts a flawless public image as a handsome and well-spoken businessman who was educated overseas at a prestigious university. In reality, however, he is merely a puppet acting on Han Kyung Wook’s orders, constantly gripped by the fear that he, too, may eventually be cast aside.

The “Fifties Professionals” production team commented, “Kim Sang Kyung’s and Kwon Yul’s special appearances came about because of their relationship with director Han Dong Hwa.”

“The two actors will add power to the drama’s whirlwind plot with their renowned acting skills,” they continued. “Please keep an eye on how the two of them become entangled with Shin Ha Kyun, Oh Jung Se, and Heo Sung Tae.”

“Fifties Professionals” premieres on May 22 at 9:50 p.m. KST and will be available to watch on Viki.

Kwon Sang Woo Confirmed To Star In “Study Group 2” As Hwang Minhyun’s Uncle 

Kwon Sang Woo will be teaming up with Hwang Minhyun in “Study Group 2”!

According to TVING on April 23, Kwon Sang Woo is set to appear in the original series “Study Group Season 2.”

Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Study Group” is a high school action-comedy about Youn Ga Min (Hwang Minhyun), a student who dreams of excelling academically but is only gifted in fighting. At a high school notorious for being one of the worst in the world, he forms a study group and dives into the ruthless world of college entrance exams. The drama ranked in the Top 5 for over 140 regions on Viki, proving its global success.

Following its success, production for Season 2 was confirmed, with filming already underway since last month.

In the new season, Kwon Sang Woo will take on the role of Jeon Young Ha, Youn Ga Min’s uncle who taught Youn Ga Min “forbidden fighting techniques.” Though he was ultimately cut off by his sister for secretly training his nephew, he stands out as a warm and deeply human character who remains by Youn Ga Min’s side, offering support and guidance.

Kwon Eun Bi Signs With New Agency

Kwon Eun Bi has signed an exclusive contract with RBW!

On April 22, a source from RBW shared, “We have signed an exclusive contract with Kwon Eun Bi.”

RBW stated, “Kwon Eun Bi is a solo artist who has proven her unmatched stage presence through her outstanding vocal and performance skills. RBW is delighted to accompany Kwon Eun Bi on her musical journey as her partner.”

They added, “We will provide full support so that Kwon Eun Bi can further expand her musical capabilities. We ask for your continued interest and support for Kwon Eun Bi’s new journey across not only music but also various other fields.”

Kwon Eun Bi had been seeking a new agency after her exclusive contract with her former agency Woollim Entertainment expired on March 31. There had previously been rumors of a contract with G-Dragon’s agency Galaxy Corporation, but she ultimately signed with RBW, MAMAMOO’s management agency.

Kwon Eun Bi debuted as a member of the project group IZ*ONE through the Mnet survival program “Produce 48,” which aired in 2018. Since the group’s disbandment, she has focused on her solo career, starting with her first mini-album “OPEN” in 2021, and has been receiving love from fans around the world.
