Watch: Hani Wants To Lean On Ha Seok Jin Amid Troubled Family Dynamics In “Love On The Menu” Teaser

KBS2’s “Love on the Menu” has unveiled a new teaser!

“Love on the Menu” is a family romance drama that follows two former lovers who reunite eight years after a painful breakup. As they reconnect, they piece together the fragments of their broken families and create the warmest table of life together.

Ha Seok Jin plays Kim Moo Jin, a perfectly credentialed owner-chef of an Italian restaurant, while Hani plays Han Gyu Rim, a side-dish shop employee who maintains a bright spirit despite a difficult reality.

The newly released teaser begins with Han Gyu Oh (Bae Youn Kyu) feeling sorry for his eldest sister Han Gyu Rim, telling his second eldest sister Han Gyu Young (Park You Na), “Gyu Rim gave up college for you. She gave up her dreams so you could go to medical school.” However, Han Gyu Young coldly replies, “What dream does Han Gyu Rim have?” which is followed by a scene of Jo Heung Sik (Bae Jung Nam) scolding her.

The teaser further piques intrigue about Han Gyu Oh’s mysterious life. Han Gyu Seo (Park Soo Oh) tells their father Han Seok Joong (Ryu Seung Soo), “Don’t take that money. Do you know how he earned that money?” while a scene of the past shows Han Gyu Oh at the police station as a high school student. As Han Gyu Rim hugs her younger siblings, the text, “Are we family?” appears on screen.

As Han Gyu Young expresses her wishes for the chairman to be her father, Han Gyu Min (Kim Min Seo) also gives a judging look to their troublemaking father. When Han Seok Joong warns his daughter Han Gyu Rim about meeting the wrong man in life, Han Gyu Rim defends Kim Moo Jin (Ha Seok Jin), saying, “Moo Jin is different.” However, that trust appears to break through misunderstandings.

Eventually pushed to the edge, Han Gyu Rim states, “I can’t listen to your unreasonableness anymore. Don’t meddle in other people’s lives,” previewing the chaotic family and romantic dynamics to come.

Kim Min Ha, Kim Joo Ryoung, And Ahn Seo Hyun Lean On One Another As North Korean Defectors In “Hana Korea”

The upcoming film “Hana Korea” has unveiled three character posters!

Inspired by a true story, “Hana Korea” follows the journey of Hye Seon (Kim Min Ha), a North Korean defector who strives to keep moving forward despite facing an unfamiliar life.

Written and directed by Danish filmmaker Frederik Sølberg, the film offers a unique perspective on the life and growth of a North Korean defector through the eyes of a foreign director.

The newly released character posters highlight the different lives and emotions of Hye Seon, Sook Hee (Kim Joo Ryoung), and Bo Mi (Ahn Seo Hyun), who form a bond while attending Hanawon, the government resettlement center where North Korean defectors receive social adaptation training after arriving in South Korea.

Hye Seon’s poster captures her determined gaze as she takes her first steps into an unfamiliar society in hopes of building a new life. The caption, “I’m doing well here, so please don’t worry about me at all,” hints at her efforts to hide the longing and concern she feels for the family she left behind.

Sook Hee’s poster also leaves a lasting impression. Accompanied by the phrase, “Don’t get sick. Take good care of yourself,” Sook Hee’s warm smile conveys her kind-hearted nature. Portrayed by Kim Joo Ryoung, Sook Hee is a fellow North Korean defector whom Hye Seon meets while living at Hanawon. Like Hye Seon, she came to South Korea alone, leaving her family behind. Understanding Hye Seon’s struggles, Sook Hee is the first to reach out to her, embodying the warmth and solidarity of people who support and rely on one another while navigating an unfamiliar environment.

Meanwhile, Bo Mi, played by Ahn Seo Hyun, brings a bright energy to the film. Smiling brightly while holding a piece of bubble gum, she is accompanied by the caption, “Isn’t life good right now? You’ve got me by your side, too.” The line perfectly captures her optimistic personality.

As someone who quickly discovers the freedom and simple joys of life in South Korea, Bo Mi encourages Hye Seon to embrace new experiences and offers her the courage to adapt to a new society.

“Hana Korea” is set to premiere on July 8.

Shin Hae Sun and Gong Myoung will finally start dating for real on the next episode of “Filing for Love”!

tvN’s “Filing for Love” is a romantic comedy that tells the story of Noh Ki Jun (Gong Myoung), the ace of a major corporation’s audit department, who is suddenly demoted to the team that handles internal misconduct. He winds up becoming increasingly entangled with Joo In Ah (Shin Hae Sun), a tough and eccentric team leader who is hiding a secret.

On the previous episode of “Filing for Love,” Joo In Ah firmly turned down Jeon Jae Yeol (Kim Jae Wook), who had been desperately trying to get her back. Just as she was regretting not having been more honest with Noh Ki Jun about her feelings, he dramatically appeared before her, having rushed all the way to Jeju Island to see her after realizing how she truly felt. Instead of hiding her feelings as she always had, Joo In Ah immediately walked up to Noh Ki Jun and kissed him first.

The “Filing for Love” production team teased, “In Episode 9, which airs on May 23, the sweet romance between the two leads, who have confirmed their feeling for each other, will unfold in earnest.”

“Additionally, the conflicting emotional shifts in Jeon Jae Yeol, who has a hard time letting go of his feelings for Joo In Ah, and Park Ah Jeong, who is watching him, will also be depicted in intriguing ways,” they continued. “Please look forward to it.”
