July Movie Star Brand Reputation Rankings Announced

The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for film actors.

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community awareness indexes of 50 popular movie stars, using big data collected from June 17 to July 17.

Hwang Jung Min shot to the top of this month’s list after seeing a staggering 265.16 percent increase in his brand reputation index, bringing his score to 5,064,423 for July.

High-ranking phrases in Hwang Jung Min’s keyword analysis included “HOPE,” “Cannes Film Festival,” and “sci-fi action,” while his highest-ranking related terms included “record,” “look forward to,” and “fight desperately.” The actor’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 91.04 percent positive reactions.

Koo Kyo Hwan took second place for the month with a brand reputation index of 4,822,716, while Zo In Sung ranked third with a score of 4,124,315.

Park Ji Hoon came in at a close fourth with a brand reputation index of 4,118,407, and Gong Yoo rounded out the top five for July with a score of 4,030,043.

“A Shop for Killers 2” has unveiled new stills featuring its cast!

Based on a novel by “The Killer’s Shopping List” author Kang Ji Young, “A Shop for Killers” is an action drama that follows Jeong Ji An (Kim Hye Joon), who moves in with her uncle Jeong Jin Man (Lee Dong Wook) after her parents’ passing. Jin Man runs a shopping mall, but when he suddenly dies, Ji An inherits his secret and dangerous legacy and becomes the target of suspicious killers. Season 2 follows Ji An, who becomes the shopping mall’s new CEO. She joins forces with Jin Man, who returns alive, to fight back against the global forces of Babylon.

The newly released stills capture thrilling moments that keep viewers on the edge of their seats, from breathtaking gunfights and high-speed car chases to hard-hitting hand-to-hand combat.

First, Jin Man and Ji An’s shopping mall Murthehelp, which focused on defense in Season 1, has armed itself with a wider variety of weapons for a full-scale counterattack. “A Shop for Killers” Season 2 has unveiled new stills of Lee Dong Wook in character!

This season unveils the hidden backstory of Jin Man, who was thought to be dead, and his actions after returning alive. The stills show Jin Man as he designs a large-scale scheme while preparing a counterattack alongside the Murthehelp team.

Lee Dong Wook said, “It is an honor to return for Season 2, and I am happy to once again show Jeong Jin Man. On reprising his role, Lee Dong Wook shared, “Rather than discovering a new side of Jin Man, I felt as if I grew closer to him. Since it’s not a project I began with Season 2 in mind, I didn’t strictly establish what kind of figure Jin Man is and rather chose to flexibly expand [his character]. In that sense, Jeong Jin Man is still an ongoing figure.”

In the preview for episode 1, the cast revisits iconic filming locations, also bringing familiar props such as the red scarf and buckwheat flowers.

A great point of interest is the “Goblin House,” which features memorable props from the drama, giving both the cast members and viewers alike a nostalgic trip down memory lane. From Eun Tak’s (Kim Go Eun) test identification slip to the red door that allowed for travel from Korea to Quebec, the variety show appears to transport the cast 10 years back to the past.

In addition to nostalgic moments, the teaser also showcases the chaotic energy of the cast with their unpredictable chemistry. Kim Go Eun runs toward the beach as Gong Yoo, Lee Dong Wook, and Yoo In Na chase after her, and the four also come across unexpectedly strong waves splashing them.

“A Shop for Killers” Season 2 has unveiled new stills featuring its cast!

The newly released stills highlight the return of key figures who created numerous memorable scenes in Season 1 while building anticipation through the introduction of newly joined characters alongside them.

First, Jin Man, who returned alive, his niece Ji An, who became the owner of the shopping mall after undergoing a grueling handover of responsibilities, and Murthehelp’s dependable allies Min Hye (Geum Hae Na) and Pasin (Kim Min) return in even stronger form. In particular, unlike in Season 1, when Ji An was frightened by the sudden attacks of assassins, she now shows a transformed gaze as she fully steps into the world of killers.

Having reunited after crossing the threshold of death, they are set to launch a counterattack against Babylon with an even tighter team dynamic, teasing the spectacular action and tense developments that will unfold.

In addition, Bale (Jo Han Sun), who relentlessly pursues Jin Man, also returns, intensifying the suspense. Known as a “killing machine,” he exudes a lethal presence from the moment he appears, dominating the atmosphere. In particular, attention is focused on another showdown between Jin Man and Bale, who are tied together as both rivals and through revenge.

Babylon, Murthehelp’s powerful enemy and a global mercenary organization, expands its influence into an East Asia branch, signaling an even larger scale.

Jung Yun Ha plays Kusunagi, the manager of Babylon’s East Asia branch. She gives off a subtle, enigmatic presence in a sharply tailored suit that contrasts with other mercenaries.

Even when facing Bale, she remains composed, exuding a distinct aura that suggests she is a new and unprecedented type of character.

In addition, Hyunri plays Q, the team leader of Babylon’s East Asia branch, while Masaki Okada joins as Jay, an ace mercenary. Their addition is expected to bring a new layer of appeal to Season 2.
