RIIZE’s Shotaro To Participate In Limited Capacity In Upcoming Activities Due To Injury

SM Entertainment has released a statement regarding RIIZE’s Shotaro’s injury.

On May 7, SM Entertainment shared that Shotaro will be attending but limiting participation in upcoming events following an ankle injury and released the following statement:

Hello, this is SM Entertainment.

We would like to inform you regarding RIIZE member Shotaro’s injury and his upcoming scheduled activities.

Shotaro recently injured his ankle during a performance at an overseas event. Following a detailed medical examination at the hospital, he was diagnosed with a torn ankle ligament. He is currently recovering while wearing a semi-cast and receiving regular outpatient treatment.

As a result, it has been decided that Shotaro will participate in the scheduled events (the May 8 Incheon National University festival, the May 10 Japan Kstyle Party, and the May 14 Sogang University and Soongsil University festivals), but he will not perform choreography on stage.

This decision was made after discussions with Shotaro and in accordance with medical advice stating that while daily activities are possible, he should refrain from intense dancing and prioritize rest and recovery. We kindly ask for fans’ generous understanding, and we will do our utmost to support the artist’s speedy recovery.

tvN’s upcoming variety show “Unplanned Trip: Limited Edition” has released a new teaser!

“Unplanned Trip: Limited Edition” follows Park Seo Joon, Jung Yu Mi, and Choi Woo Shik as they travel across South Korea without knowing where they will go, where they will sleep, or how they will get there. It is a new version of the long-running “Youth Over Flowers” travel series. The show keeps the original “trip without advance notice” travel concept from “Youth Over Flowers” but adds new rules to make the journey more entertaining.

In the newly released teaser, Park Seo Joon, Jung Yu Mi, and Choi Woo Shik appear alongside PD Na Young Suk during what is presented as a live broadcast celebrating the 20th anniversary of writer Kim Dae Ju. The atmosphere quickly shifts when Na Young Suk stands up, tears down a banner, and reveals the real purpose of the gathering: a trip that begins immediately. The sudden announcement leaves the three actors visibly surprised.

From there, the trip unfolds in confusion as the cast is confronted with strict limits on both time and budget. Harsh weather adds to the challenges as heavy snow falls throughout their journey.

At the end of the teaser, Choi Woo Shik remarks, “I thought it would be a wonderful trip, but it’s a mess.”

TWICE’s Dahyun To Return To Performing In Limited Capacity Starting With Tokyo Concerts

TWICE’s Dahyun will be rejoining her bandmates on stage starting this weekend.

Back in February, JYP Entertainment announced that Dahyun had been diagnosed with a stress fracture in her ankle and would therefore be unable to perform at TWICE’s upcoming shows for their ongoing “THIS IS FOR” world tour. Since then, Dahyun has been sitting out the group’s concerts in order to focus on her recovery.

On April 24, JYP Entertainment shared an update on Dahyun’s health and announced that starting with TWICE’s upcoming Tokyo concert on April 25, Dahyun would be returning to performing on stage. However, the agency added that “for the time being, her participation in choreography and certain performances may be limited.”

The company’s full English statement is as follows:

We would like to provide an update regarding Dahyun’s health and her upcoming schedule.

Dahyun is currently focusing on treatment and rehabilitation for a stress fracture. According to her recent medical evaluation, the initially diagnosed area has shown improvement. The medical team has advised that continued rehabilitation is necessary for a full recovery of strength and function.

After carefully considering the artist’s strong desire to meet fans on stage during the world tour, as well as her recovery progress, and based on discussions with medical professionals, it has been decided that she will participate in upcoming performances within a limited scope that does not place undue strain on her condition.

With this in mind, Dahyun is expected to join the stage starting with the Tokyo concerts. However, for the time being, her participation in choreography and certain performances may be limited.

We apologize for any concern this may cause and kindly ask for your understanding. We will continue to prioritize Dahyun’s health and do our best to support her full recovery. We sincerely appreciate your warm encouragement and support.

CRAVITY’s Woobin To Have Limited Participation In Upcoming Album Promotions Due To Musical Commitments

CRAVITY’s Woobin will be sitting out parts of the group’s upcoming album promotions due to prior commitments to his currently ongoing musical.

On April 23, CRAVITY’s agency STARSHIP Entertainment announced that Woobin will not be able to participate in some content related to the group’s upcoming album due to his role as Romeo in the musical “Romeo & Juliette.” Additionally, he will also be unable to take part in certain promotional activities due to overlapping schedules.

We would like to provide information regarding member Woobin’s participation in activities for CRAVITY’s 8th EP ‘ReDeFINE,’ scheduled for release on April 29.

Woobin is currently continuing his performances as ‘Romeo’ in the musical ‘Romeo & Juliette.’ Due to preparations and the performance schedule for the musical, we held thorough discussions with the production team, and in consideration of maintaining the quality of the stage, Woobin was unable to participate in some of the content related to this album.
