September Individual Idol Brand Reputation Rankings Announced

The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for individual idols!

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community awareness indexes of 1,735 idols, using big data collected from August 23 to September 23.

RESCENE’s Woni continued her reign at the top of the list this month with a brand reputation index of 7,859,086, marking a 13.05 percent increase in her score since August. High-ranking phrases in her keyword analysis included “superstar” and “Like Woni,” while her highest-ranking related terms included “cute,” “like,” and “root for.” Woni’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 94.58 percent positive reactions.

BTS’s Jimin held onto his spot at second place with a brand reputation index of 6,845,549, marking a 28.20 percent rise in his score since last month.

BIGBANG’s G-Dragon shot to third place after seeing a 149.08 percent increase in his brand reputation index, bringing his total score to 6,070,909 for September.

RESCENE’s Zena jumped to fourth place with a brand reputation index of 5,904,063, marking a 71.61 percent rise in her score since last month.

Finally, BTS’s Jungkook rounded out the top five with a brand reputation index of 5,148,211, marking a 11.56 percent increase in his score since August.

Lisa’s “SaWaDiKa” Becomes Her 3rd Solo Song To Chart For Multiple Weeks On Billboard Hot 100

BLACKPINK’s Lisa’s new single is enjoying a strong second week on the Billboard charts!

On September 23 local time, Billboard revealed that Lisa’s latest single “SaWaDiKa” was spending its second week on the Hot 100 at No. 93. The song first entered the chart, which ranks the most popular songs in the United States, at No. 69 last week.

“SaWaDiKa” is now Lisa’s third solo song to spend more than one week on the Hot 100, following her 2021 hit “MONEY” and her 2025 Doja Cat and RAYE collab “BORN AGAIN.”

Meanwhile, in its second week on Billboard’s global charts, “SaWaDiKa” ranked No. 35 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 54 on the Global 200. The single initially debuted at No. 13 and No. 23 respectively on the two charts last week.

BLACKPINK’s Lisa will be stopping by “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”!

On September 9 local time, the famous U.S. talk show announced that Lisa would be appearing on the program next week.

“SaWaDiKa” is now the fastest music video of 2026 to hit the 100 million mark: the video was released on September 4 at 9 a.m. KST, meaning that it took approximately two days and four hours to reach the milestone.

BTS, BLACKPINK, CORTIS, LE SSERAFIM, KATSEYE, And HUNTR/X Nominated For 2026 MTV Video Music Awards

The nominees for the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) are out!

On August 18 local time, MTV officially announced the nominations for this year’s award ceremony, which included nods for several K-pop artists.

BTS’s recent hit “SWIM” scored two nominations: one for Song of the Year and one for Best K-Pop. Also nominated for Song of the Year is HUNTR/X’s “Golden,” the smash hit from the animated film “KPop Demon Hunters” (sung by EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami).

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s Lisa racked up a total of four solo nominations for her “Dream” music video featuring Kentaro Sakaguchi, which is in the running for Best Pop, Best K-Pop, Best Cinematography, and Best Editing. BLACKPINK also snagged a separate nomination as a group in the Best K-Pop category for their hit song “JUMP.”

In what marks the first-ever VMA nominations of their career, CORTIS earned two nods: one for Best New Artist and one for Best K-Pop (for their latest hit “REDRED”).

KATSEYE also scored two nominations with their single “PINKY UP,” which is in the running for Best Choreography and Best K-Pop.

Finally, LE SSERAFIM’s hit song “SPAGHETTI” (featuring BTS’s j-hope) has been nominated for Best K-Pop. This year’s nominees for the K-pop category are BLACKPINK’s “JUMP,” BTS’s “SWIM,” CORTIS’s “REDRED,” KATSEYE’s “PINKY UP,” LE SSERAFIM’s “SPAGHETTI,” and Lisa’s “Dream.”

The 2026 MTV Video Music Awards will air live from Los Angeles on September 27 at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT. In the meantime, you can vote for the awards on MTV’s website here! (Voting for most categories will be open until September 25 at 6 p.m. ET, while voting for Best New Artist will remain active all the way into the live show.)

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, communication, and community awareness indexes of 735 girl group members, using big data collected from July 16 to August 16.

RESCENE’s Woni held onto her spot at the top of the list this month with a brand reputation index of 8,123,817, marking a 2.02 percent rise in her score since July. High-ranking phrases in her keyword analysis included “LOVE ATTACK” and “REMINE,” while her highest-ranking related terms included “down-to-earth,” “familiar,” and “root for.” Woni’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 93.52 percent positive reactions.

Meanwhile, IVE’s Jang Won Young maintained her position at second place with a brand reputation index of 6,261,001 for August.

BLACKPINK’s Jennie rose to third place with a brand reputation index of 5,826,161, marking a 16.88 percent increase in her score since last month.

aespa’s Karina came in at a close fourth with a brand reputation index of 5,761,938, marking a 2.55 percent rise in her score since July.

RESCENE’s Woni shot to the top of this month’s list after seeing a staggering 384.56 percent increase in her brand reputation index since June, bringing her total score to 5,434,024.

High-ranking phrases in Woni’s keyword analysis included “Pretty Girl,” “Deokyeon’s daughter,” and “Geoje Charmander,” while her highest-ranking related terms included “cute,” “likable,” and “pretty.” Woni’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 93.96 percent positive reactions.

Meanwhile, BTS’s Jimin took second place with a brand reputation index of 4,849,221 for July.

Wanna One’s Park Ji Hoon ranked third with a brand reputation index of 4,412,495, while BTS’s Jungkook came in at a close fourth with a score of 4,399,287.

Finally, IVE’s Jang Won Young rounded out the top five with a brand reputation index of 4,073,693, marking an 8.11 percent rise in her score since June.
