Ji Chang Wook Hits Rock Bottom After Losing His Successful Career In “Merry Berry Love”

The upcoming Korean-Japanese series “Merry Berry Love” has unveiled new stills featuring Ji Chang Wook in character!

“Merry Berry Love” is a romantic comedy about Lee Yu Bin (Ji Chang Wook), a Korean spatial designer who achieved great success in Korea but loses everything overnight and travels to a Japanese island in hopes of turning his life around. There, he meets Shirahama Karin (Imada Mio), a young Japanese strawberry farmer who has devoted her life to growing strawberries.

Ji Chang Wook plays Lee Yu Bin, a man whose successful career as a top-tier spatial designer comes crashing down overnight, leaving him unemployed. The newly released stills capture the stark contrast between his life before and after his fall from success, showing both the polished city man who exudes a professional aura and the unemployed man catching brief naps while looking disheveled.

Once accustomed to a relaxed atmosphere, perfect hairstyle and a desk surrounded by office tools and covered with blueprints, Lee Yu Bin eventually sheds his chic persona completely.

Choo Young Woo Takes On A New Path In Robotics After Losing His Right Leg In “Between Steps”

The upcoming drama “Between Steps” has unveiled new stills featuring Choo Young Woo!

“Between Steps” is a romance drama by the late director Ahn Pan Seok, who helmed the hit dramas “Something in the Rain,” “One Spring Night,” and “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon.” The drama tells the love story of Park Min Jae (Choo Young Woo), a former swimmer who lost his right leg due to illness, and Im Yoo Jin (Kim So Hyun), a graduate student who finds a new path after losing her way.

The newly released stills show Park Min Jae visiting a hospital. As he waits for his test results, nervousness is written all over his face. After losing his right leg to an illness and giving up his dream of becoming a swimmer, Park Min Jae begins studying robotics in search of a new path in life, holding onto the hope of one day regaining his lost leg.

Other stills show Park Min Jae fully immersed in his robotics research. Though he works at a slower pace, he is diligent and dedicated to his studies and research, leaving little room in his daily life for anything else. A handsome engineering student with an exceptional mind and striking looks, Park Min Jae is a Ph.D. student who has devoted himself entirely to research while keeping his distance from romance.

However, he tends to overthink and is deeply afraid of being hurt. He faces a turning point in his life after becoming entangled with Im Yoo Jin, a master’s student who transferred from the Department of Clothing and Textiles.

On why he chose to star in the drama, Choo Young Woo said, “When I first read the script, I thought it was a very simple story. Rather than centering around a special incident, I liked the process of two people who had each lost their way at some point for their own reasons meeting each other and gaining the strength to move forward.”

He added, “With Director Ahn Pan Seok and actress Kim So Hyun on board, there was no reason not to accept the role, and I felt that I would be able to learn a lot.”

Describing his character Park Min Jae, Choo Young Woo said, “Min Jae is a strong person, but he also has a lot of worries and fears. After losing one leg to illness and giving up on his dream, he has been dealing with a lot of emotions on his own.”

He added, “I thought a lot about how and to what extent Min Jae should control his emotions when his wounds resurface in everyday life. Although Min Jae lives in the present, silently following his own path without expressing his pain, I pondered how to fully convey to viewers the way he confronts his complex inner emotions.”

“Between Steps” is set to premiere on October 5 at 10 p.m. KST.

Lee Jung Eun Lives Only For Revenge After Losing Her Daughter In “The Journey To Gyeongju”

“The Journey to Gyeongju” has unveiled new stills of Lee Jung Eun!

“The Journey to Gyeongju” is a family revenge film about a mother and three daughters who embark on a “killer” journey after waiting eight years, all for their youngest daughter Gyeong Ju who never returned from a school field trip.

Lee Jung Eun stars as Ok Sil, a mother living with the grief of losing her youngest daughter. Ok Sil once led an ordinary life running the neighborhood alteration shop “Ok Fashion,” but after losing her youngest daughter, she spends the next eight years consumed by guilt and grief, living only for revenge. As the driving force behind the four women’s quest for vengeance, Lee Jung Eun is expected to anchor the film with a layered portrayal of maternal love, rage, unwavering determination, and deeply human inner conflict.

The film also marks Lee Jung Eun’s reunion with director Kim Mi Jo, whom she previously worked with on “Hommage.” Director Kim Mi Jo revealed that she had envisioned Lee Jung Eun as Ok Sil from the project’s earliest stages, saying, “Ok Sil is a complex character who charges forward to extinguish the fire burning inside her heart, but because she is human, she is constantly shaken by doubt and inner conflict. Lee Jung Eun brought her to life with an irreplaceable performance that captures even the deepest parts of her inner world.”

Lee Jung Eun also shared that she decided to join the project based on her trust in the director. She explained, “Although the mother and daughters share the same goal of revenge, each of them has a different perspective. I focused most on portraying Ok Sil’s choices in a way that would allow the audience to fully empathize with and understand them.”
