The stars of JTBC’s “The Apartment Job” shared their final farewells ahead of tonight’s series finale!

“The Apartment Job” tells the story of former Oasis Gang boss Park Hae Kang (Ji Sung), who runs for president of an apartment complex’s resident council in order to get his hands on the complex’s hidden reserve fund. In the process, he winds up joining forces with the other residents in order to expose deep-rooted corruption.

With just one episode left in the drama’s run, Ji Sung expressed his gratitude to viewers by saying, “I’m deeply grateful to the viewers who stayed with us until the end.”

He went on to share, “While approaching the character of Park Hae Kang, I found myself looking more carefully at ordinary things—like the stairs I passed by every day, neighbors I only knew by sight, or hallways I walked through without thinking much about them—in order to protect something. It was only when I was in danger of losing something that I realized just how precious that ordinariness actually was, and I felt the same thing while acting.”

“I always feel sad and regretful whenever a project ends, but I think ‘The Apartment Job’ in particular will linger in my mind for an especially long time,” he continued. “Thank you to everyone who gave us so much love. On the previous episode of “The Apartment Job,” Park Hae Kang headed to the bank to withdraw his apartment complex’s 17.8 billion won (approximately $12.2 million) reserve fund for long-term repairs. However, he was shocked to find that the bank account was empty. In order to locate the missing funds, he teamed up with Kang Ha Ri (Ha Yun Kyung) for “Phase 2” of their “intermittent family” project, but met an unexpected hurdle when Jang Sook Jin (Moon So Ri) wound up learning the truth about their fake family.

In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming episode, Park Hae Kang convenes an emergency residents’ meeting in order to track down the missing reserve fund. “The Apartment Job” follows former Oasis Gang boss Park Hae Kang (Ji Sung), who runs for the apartment residents’ council president election in order to get his hands on the building’s hidden money. Along the way, he joins forces with residents to expose corruption and wrongdoing.

The newly released teaser opens with Park Hae Kang bowing respectfully to a group of VIPs atop a mountain before the next scenes reveal that he’s the operator of an illegal gambling den.

The mood shifts when Park Yong Man (Jung Jin Young) voices his concern, warning, “How much longer are you going to keep running that gambling den? It’s dangerous. You should shut it down and get out while you still can,” highlighting the close bond between the two.

The teaser then introduces Lee Chung Won (Park Byung Eun), a construction company CEO and penthouse resident. He asks, “Do you have 10 billion won (approximately $6,631,100)?” as viewers are introduced to the secret organization “One Club,” whose membership fee is 10 billion won.

Ji Sung And Ha Yun Kyung’s Upcoming Drama Confirms Premiere Plans

JTBC’s upcoming drama “Apartment” (literal title) has confirmed its premiere!

On May 19, JTBC announced that the series is scheduled to premiere in July.

“Apartment” follows former gangster Hae Kang as he runs for apartment association president to get his hands on the building’s hidden money and teams up with residents to expose corruption.

Ji Sung plays Park Hae Kang, a former boss of the Oasis gang known for his legendary 0 percent uncollected debt record. To raise 10 billion won (approximately $6,664,670) to save Yong Man, who is like a father to him, he becomes the president of the apartment association.

Ha Yun Kyung plays Kang Ha Ri, who dreamed of becoming a lawyer at the major law firm We Partners. Instead, she works part-time at the firm’s free legal consultation desk, where she becomes involved with Park Hae Kang.

Park Byung Eun plays Lee Choong Won, a “luxury villain,” while Moon So Ri plays Jang Sook Jin, a well-known busybody who never has enough hours in the day. The two are expected to generate strong on-screen chemistry.
