BIGHIT MUSIC Makes Statement On Unlawful Use Of TXT’s Yeonjun’s “GGUM”

BIGHIT MUSIC has issued an official statement regarding the recent unauthorized use of TXT’s Yeonjun’s solo song “GGUM.”

The agency’s full English statement is as follows:

Hello,
This is BIGHIT MUSIC.

We have confirmed that the audio track for Yeonjun’s song “GGUM” was unlawfully used and illegally uploaded to domestic and international DSPs (digital streaming platforms).

To protect the rights of our artists, we are taking measures such as requesting the removal of the unauthorized audio from affected streaming platforms to prevent further distribution. Given the seriousness of the matter, we are also reviewing additional legal actions. We will continue to take all necessary steps against any acts that infringe upon the rights of our artists.

We place the highest priority on protecting our artists’ rights, and we will continue to do our utmost to safeguard their intellectual property and copyrights through thorough monitoring.

Reports from fans are of great help in actions we may take to protect our artists’ rights.

Stray Kids Announces Latin American Music Festival “STRAYCITY” Featuring NEXZ; To Add More Cities In Future

Get ready for a brand-new music festival led by Stray Kids!

On May 23 KST, JYP Entertainment and Live Nation announced their plans for a new music festival called “STRAYCITY,” at which Stray Kids will serve as the headliner for every show.

So far, three Latin American shows have been announced for “STRAYCITY,” but JYP Entertainment says that it plans to add more host cities in the future.

“STRAYCITY” will kick off in Bogotá on September 9 before heading to Buenos Aires on September 14 and Mexico City on September 25.

NEXZ will be performing at all three shows, which will also feature local artists such as Andrés Obregón, RENEE, Bad Milk, Kei Linch, K4OS, and Cocho.

JYP Entertainment commented, “‘STRAYCITY’ is a music festival that anyone can enjoy, and it aims to become a platform where one can awaken a hidden alter ego and discover a new side of themselves.”

“Through this music festival inspired by their group name, Stray Kids will unleash their unrivaled, explosive energy and share their special musical universe with the audience,” they continued.

Hinting at its plans for future shows, JYP Entertainment added, “‘STRAYCITY’ will continue with additional host cities in the future.”

BTS To Make Special Live Appearance At 2026 American Music Awards

BTS will be appearing at the 2026 American Music Awards (AMAs)!

On May 20, the American Music Awards officially announced that BTS would be making a special live appearance at this year’s ceremony.

The group is nominated for three awards this year: Artist of the Year, Song of the Summer (for their latest hit “SWIM”), and Best Male K-Pop Artist.

The 2026 American Music Awards will air live from Las Vegas on May 25 at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT).

Song Joong Ki will be partaking in this year’s Seoul Music Awards!

On May 18, the 35th Seoul Music Awards announced that Song Joong Ki will be attending the ceremony as a presenter. The announcement further shares that more presenters will be revealed soon.

Music Program “The Show” Announces Official Return

Cable music program “The Show” is officially making its return seven months after going off the air!

On May 13, YNA reported that “The Show” is preparing to resume broadcasts, with its first episode scheduled to air on June 2. According to the report, the production team has also recently met with entertainment agencies to discuss the lineup for the premiere broadcast.

“The Show” had been on hiatus since it aired its final episode in November, 2025. At the time, however, the program only stated that it was concluding its season for the year.

First launched in 2011, “The Show” has remained one of South Korea’s representative cable music programs for nearly 14 years.

The returning program will keep its original title, but will undergo a major overhaul in both its production and programming structure.

Previously, “The Show” aired on SBS funE and was produced by SBS Medianet. Production came to a halt after SBS Medianet withdrew from the entertainment business last year.

The revamped version of the show will now air on SBS LIFE, with production jointly led by SBS LIFE and entertainment-tech startup BIGC. Kim Chil Sung, BIGC’s head of performance business and a former SBS Medianet executive, will oversee the program.

Representatives of “The Show” shared, “Rather than simply returning to air, ‘The Show’ will be reborn as a global music show and deliver a new kind of media experience.”

The program also officially confirmed its return through its X (formerly Twitter) account with the playful message, “Anyone who’s been waiting for ‘The Show’? Hands up with a big circle. ‘The Show’ is making a big comeback!”
