Chuei Li Yu And Kang Woo Jin’s New Duo FLARE U Announces Official Fan Club Name

FLARE U has given their fandom an official name!

A new duo consisting of former “BOYS II PLANET” contestants Chuei Li Yu and Kang Woo Jin, FLARE U made their debut with their first mini album “YOUTH ERROR” on May 13.

That same day, FLARE U revealed that the name of their official fan club would be “U’RE.”

The formal announcement explained, “The fan club name U’RE combines the ‘U’ from FLARE U with the ‘U’ that represents the fans, therefore resulting in the meaning ‘us.’ ‘RE (which means ‘are’) adds the meaning of existence and the present continuous, meaning that FLARE U and their fans are always existing together.”

Music Program “The Show” Announces Official Return

Cable music program “The Show” is officially making its return seven months after going off the air!

On May 13, YNA reported that “The Show” is preparing to resume broadcasts, with its first episode scheduled to air on June 2. According to the report, the production team has also recently met with entertainment agencies to discuss the lineup for the premiere broadcast.

“The Show” had been on hiatus since it aired its final episode in November, 2025. At the time, however, the program only stated that it was concluding its season for the year.

First launched in 2011, “The Show” has remained one of South Korea’s representative cable music programs for nearly 14 years.

The returning program will keep its original title, but will undergo a major overhaul in both its production and programming structure.

Previously, “The Show” aired on SBS funE and was produced by SBS Medianet. Production came to a halt after SBS Medianet withdrew from the entertainment business last year.

The revamped version of the show will now air on SBS LIFE, with production jointly led by SBS LIFE and entertainment-tech startup BIGC. Kim Chil Sung, BIGC’s head of performance business and a former SBS Medianet executive, will oversee the program.

Representatives of “The Show” shared, “Rather than simply returning to air, ‘The Show’ will be reborn as a global music show and deliver a new kind of media experience.”

The program also officially confirmed its return through its X (formerly Twitter) account with the playful message, “Anyone who’s been waiting for ‘The Show’? Hands up with a big circle. ‘The Show’ is making a big comeback!”

KATSEYE’s “Touch” Rises On UK’s Official Singles Chart As “PINKY UP” Remains In Top 50

Almost two years after its initial release, KATSEYE’s “Touch” is on the rise in the United Kingdom!

Last week, KATSEYE’s debut-era song “Touch” belatedly entered the United Kingdom’s Official Singles Chart (widely regarded as the U.K. equivalent to Billboard’s Hot 100 in the United States) for the first time at No. 88.

This week, “Touch” jumped to No. 82, suggesting that the 2024 single is gaining momentum in the United Kingdom.

Meanwhile, KATSEYE’s latest single “PINKY UP” stayed strong at No. 42 in its third consecutive week on the chart. The song previously debuted at No. 14, achieving the group’s highest ranking on the chart to date.

TXT’s Yeonjun Becomes Miu Miu’s 1st Official “Friend Of The House”

TXT’s Yeonjun has forged an official partnership with Italian luxury brand Miu Miu!

This week, Miu Miu announced that Yeonjun had been chosen as the fashion brand’s first official “friend of the house.”

According to Miu Miu, “friend of the house” is a title bestowed upon partners who share the brand’s aesthetic values and conveys the values pursued by Miu Miu to the public through their own unique color and style.

Yeonjun remarked, “It is very meaningful and exciting for me to be working together with Mu Miu, a brand that I have liked and taken an interest in for a long time. Please look forward to my future journey of expressing Miu Miu’s free-spirited and daring energy in my own unique way.”

Last month, Yeonjun became the first male K-pop artist to walk the runway for Miu Miu at the brand’s Fall/Winter 2026 fashion show.

Nearly two years after its release, KATSEYE’s “Touch” has entered the United Kingdom’s Official Singles Chart for the very first time!

On April 24 local time, the Official Charts (widely regarded as the U.K. equivalent to Billboard’s U.S. charts) announced that KATSEYE’s 2024 song “Touch” had debuted at No. 88 on its Official Singles Chart following the group’s recent performance at Coachella.

Meanwhile, KATSEYE’s latest single “PINKY UP” spent its second consecutive week on the chart at No. 24. The song set a personal record for the group last week when it debuted at No. 14, marking KATSEYE’s highest ranking on the Official Singles Chart to date.

“Touch,” which was first released in July 2024, is KATSEYE’s fifth song to enter the Official Singles Chart, following “Gnarly,” “Gabriela,” “Internet Girl,” and “PINKY UP.”

LUCY Cancels Official Light Stick Release After Fan Backlash

Mystic Story has canceled the release of LUCY’s official light stick due to backlash from fans.

On April 22, LUCY announced that they would be releasing their first official light stick and unveiled a glimpse of the design.

As the band’s fandom name is “Walwal” (a Korean onomatopoeia for the sound of a dog barking), the light stick was designed to look like a dog bone. Fans also noticed that it featured two small rings at the top, seemingly so that it could be worn around the neck as a necklace.

After many fans responded negatively to the design of the light stick, with some having already been unhappy with the fandom name, Mystic Story announced that same night that they had decided to cancel the release.

The agency’s full statement and apology is as follows:

Hello.
This is Mystic Story.

We are making an announcement regarding the official light stick that was revealed today.
We humbly and seriously accepted the many opinions that you sent us through various channels, and after an internal reconsideration of the matter in question, we have decided to cancel the release.

We sincerely apologize for the fact that, through this process, we wound up disconcerting the people who are giving [LUCY] so much support.
Once again, we deeply apologize for having caused discomfort, and we will work even harder so that the love and expectations you give us will not be in vain.
