“Idol Star Athletics Championships” (ISAC) Confirmed Not To Take Place For Chuseok 2026

It’s official: there will be no “Idol Star Athletics Championships” (ISAC) this upcoming Chuseok holiday.

On August 14, MBC confirmed rumors that the “Idol Star Athletics Championships” would not be taking place this Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving).

“They say it’s difficult to schedule the programming for ISAC this year because this Chuseok holiday overlaps with the Asian Games,” stated a representative of the network.

The “Idol Star Athletics Championships,” which was first launched in 2010, is a flagship holiday variety show in which idols compete in various sporting events.

MBC’s “A Bona Fide Killer” has shared new stills ahead of its upcoming episode!

Based on the hit webtoon of the same name, “A Bona Fide Killer” is an action drama about a working mother with a lethal job who is fighting to protect her work-life balance. Kong Hyo Jin stars as Yu Bo Na, the seemingly ordinary manager of Sales Team 3 at Durumi Electronics, who is secretly the legendary sniper known as “Kingfisher.”

Spoilers

In the upcoming episodes 5 and 6, Yu Bo Na sets out to personally take down Tak Jong Gu (Kim Min Jun), a wealthy rapist who has infiltrated the casino.

The newly released stills capture the tense moment when Yu Bo Na and her husband, Kwon Tae Sung (Jung Jun Won), are on the verge of crossing paths at the casino. Yu Bo Na moves covertly with her face concealed while Kwon Tae Sung is surrounded by security guards.

In particular, the contrasting paths of Yu Bo Na and Kwon Tae Sung, who have come to the same place for different purposes, heighten the tension. While Yu Bo Na is a killer who must secretly eliminate her target, Kwon Tae Sung is a reporter relentlessly pursuing the truth.

Xiumin To No Longer Perform At Asia Culture Festival 2026; THE BOYZ’s New To Take His Place

Xiumin will no longer be performing at the Asia Culture Festival 2026 next week.

On May 3, Korean news outlet MyDaily reported that Xiumin’s performance at the upcoming Asia Culture Festival 2026 in Japan had been unexpectedly canceled at the last minute. The two-day event is scheduled to be held on June 9 and 10 at Japan’s Tokyo Garden Theater.

The Asia Culture Festival’s organizing committee commented, “Due to various circumstances, Xiumin’s appearance [at the festival] has been canceled. We sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to his performance for making this announcement on such short notice.”

The committee added, “There will be no ticket refunds based on this matter.”

THE BOYZ’s New will be replacing Xiumin in the festival’s lineup, which also includes Apink and Kep1er.

Back in April, Xiumin, Chen, and Baekhyun were reported to have sent a formal notice to their agency INB100 announcing their intent to terminate their exclusive contracts due to a lack of clarification regarding unpaid earnings and other alleged contract violations.

Earlier in the year, when nine members of THE BOYZ sent their agency—INB100’s parent company ONE HUNDRED—a similar notice regarding termination of their exclusive contracts, New was the only member of the group who chose to stay with the company. On April 23, the court granted an injunction suspending the contracts of the other nine members.
