Netflix Addresses Reports Of October Filming For “The Trauma Code: Heroes On Call” Season 2

Netflix has responded to reports that “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call” Season 2 will begin filming in October.

On August 24, Lee Nak Joon, author of the original web novel on which “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call” is based, appeared on KBS2’s “Malja Show” (literal translation). When asked about Seasons 2 and 3 of the hit Netflix series, he said, “The pre-production work for Season 2 is finished, and they’re currently scouting locations. I think filming will begin around October.”

However, on August 25, a Netflix representative shared, “Nothing has been decided yet,” adding, “We are currently discussing the production of Season 2, but it is difficult to confirm details regarding the filming schedule or casting at this time.”

Released last year, “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call” follows genius trauma surgeon Baek Kang Hyuk (Ju Ji Hoon) as he works to revive a struggling Severe Trauma Care team. The series topped Netflix’s Global Top 10 list for non-English TV shows following its release, fueling anticipation for a second season.

JTBC Responds To Reports About Variety Shows Amid Corporate Rehabilitation Process

JTBC has denied reports of halting filming for variety shows amid corporate rehabilitation proceedings.

Previously on June 12, JTBC declared a default after failing to repay 20.6 billion won (approximately $15 million) in securitized loans by their maturity date. It was later revealed that JoongAng Holdings, Contentree JoongAng, Megabox JoongAng, and JoongAng P&I filed for the commencement of corporate rehabilitation proceedings on June 14, followed by JTBC filing for rehabilitation the next day. JoongAng Group Vice Chairman Hong Jung Do also held a press conference and personally apologized, promising to put their best efforts in restoring normal operations as quickly as possible.

Subsequently, reports surfaced that JTBC variety programs excluding “Please Take Care of My Refrigerator” and “Love War” would halt filming. However, JTBC denied the claims.

On June 23, a source from JTBC clarified, “Variety programs will all be filmed as usual on schedule. It is not true that filming has been halted.”

Galaxy Corporation Denies Reports Of Recruiting Baekhyun

Galaxy Corporation has denied rumors regarding the recruitment of singer Baekhyun.

On April 22, a media outlet reported that Baekhyun is in talks to sign an exclusive contract with Galaxy Corporation, the agency that currently represents G-Dragon.

In response to the report, a representative from Galaxy Corporation stated, “The reports regarding discussions of signing an exclusive contract with Baekhyun are not true.”

Baekhyun had previously established his own independent label INB100, and fellow EXO members Chen and Xiumin, who are active as part of the sub-unit EXO-CBX, also joined the label.

The label was subsequently absorbed as a subsidiary of ONE HUNDRED, a company led by CEO Cha Ga Won. However, CEO Cha Ga Won is currently facing allegations of fraud, accused of leveraging the intellectual property (IP) rights of the agency’s artists to receive advance payments while failing to carry out the promised business operations.

In the wake of these events, artists under the umbrella—including THE BOYZ, Lee Seung Gi, VIVIZ, Lee Mujin, and BE’O—have been leaving the company, and EXO-CBX has also sent a formal notice of contract termination.
