Red Velvet’s Joy, Kim Hyun Jin, Shin Hyun Soo, And Kang Na Eon Dive Into Their Roles At “One Of A Kind Romance” Script Reading
“One of a Kind Romance” has unveiled photos from its script reading session!
Based on a webtoon, “One of a Kind Romance” follows Gong Yu Il (Red Velvet’s Joy), an ordinary woman on the job hunt who unexpectedly becomes the manager of Tak Mu I (Kim Hyun Jin), a top star hiding the emotional scars left by a stalking incident. The drama follows their romance as Gong Yu Il, who dreams of living an ordinary life, and Tak Mu I, who found the strength to keep going through a novel she wrote years ago, cross paths by chance and gradually develop a sweet and heartfelt relationship.
The script reading was attended by director Kim Jin Young, writer Jeon Hyun Mi, and the main cast.
Joy transformed into Gong Yu Il, a bright and optimistic woman who refuses to lose her positive spirit despite struggling with both her career and love life. Reflecting Gong Yu Il’s life as she juggles part-time jobs with job hunting and goes from one interview to another, Joy brought the character to life through subtle changes in her tone, posture, and gaze.
Kim Hyun Jin naturally captured the effortless charm and confidence of top star Tak Mu I. He brought the character to life with a playful tone and gentle gaze, while his signature eye smile and warm gestures toward fans, such as reaching out to sign autographs, further showcased Tak Mu I’s star power.
Shin Hyun Soo plays star chef Kang Hee Soo, balancing a warm, gentle demeanor with an air of mystery. While his soft and kind way of speaking makes him seem approachable, his subtle coldness and inscrutable expressions hint that there is more to him than meets the eye.
Kang Na Eon brings energy to the drama as Joo Da Hong, an actress with a bubbly personality. In addition to openly pursuing Tak Mu I with her straightforward crush and bold flirting, she also subtly keeps Gong Yu Il in check, creating another layer of tension between the characters.
“One of a Kind Romance” will premiere on November 9.

The new making-of video features the passionate acting of cast members as they immerse themselves into their roles, focusing intently on monitoring their scenes. Lee Jun Young impresses the set with his dedication to action scenes, while Song Kang portrays his character’s emotions delicately after discussions with the director. During filming, the actors also suggest fun ad-libs, which add to their characters’ depth.
While filming together on set, Lee Jun Young and Song Kang showcase playful energy. When Lee Jun Young puts on the blindfold for their piano performance, Song Kang compliments him on how cool it looks.

“Mission: Mompossible” Stars Dish On Upcoming Drama + How They Prepared For Their Roles
The stars of KBS 1TV’s upcoming drama “Mission: Mompossible” have shared their thoughts on the story, their characters, and more!
“Mission: Mompossible” is a new weekday drama about two very different mothers and the entangled lives of their children. One mom has sacrificed everything and devoted herself entirely to her family for a long time, while the other mom has lived her life solely for herself.
Jung Min Ah will star as Kang Da Mi, Jo Mimi (Kim Hee Jung)’s youngest daughter. When asked how similar her real-life personality was to Kang Da Mi, Jung Min Ah said they had a “synchronization level” of 80 percent.
“We’re similar in the way we try to think of things in a positive light and how once we make up our minds about something, we don’t easily give up and try to see it through until the end,” explained Jung Min Ah. “When a difficult situation arises, rather than letting it get me down for too long, I think first, ‘What should I do now to try to resolve this?’”
Jung Min Ah went on to describe “Mission: Mompossible” as “a family story about finding yourself.”
“At first, it might seem like just a fun and chaotic story about families, but ultimately, it’s a story about characters finding their true selves, which they had momentarily forgotten while living with their respective families,” said the actress.
“Some characters have put themselves on the back burner for the sake of their family, and some have lived their lives while prioritizing other people over their own dreams,” she continued. “As these characters clash and come to understand one another, they look back on their own lives and grow as people. The journey of their growth is a key charm of this drama.”
Dong Ha will star as fashion designer Cha Seung Yoon, who is the eldest grandson of Hwang Geum Soon (Kim Young Ok). Regarding similarities to his character, he shared, “We’re similar in how we have a lot of affection for other people and are soft-hearted.”
The actor went on to reveal, “Towards the beginning of filming, the director told me that later on, Seung Yoon would experience immense emotional pain beyond compare. In the latter half of the drama, I plan to pour out everything I have, both as actor Dong Ha and as the character Cha Seung Yoon, while portraying Seung Yoon’s pain and emotions.”
Describing his character, Dong Ha remarked, “Seung Yoon gets easily attached to other people, and he’s someone with a lot of painful wounds and memories. The more wounds he has, the more he tries not to let other people get too close, in order to avoid getting hurt, and he sometimes intentionally speaks coldly to people in order to not get attached.”
He added, “I hope you’ll take note of Seung Yoon’s various hidden charms.”
Kim Hee Jung will star as Jo Mimi, a mom who worked hard to raise three kids while also running a restaurant.
“‘Mission: Mompossible’ is a story about different kinds of lives and the moments encountered within them,” said Kim Hee Jung. “While following along with the characters’ lives, you’ll find yourself encountering scenes that feel like they’re from your own life.”
As for what viewers should pay attention to in the story, the actress commented, “I hope you’ll keep an eye on the journey of how people, each facing their own trials and hardships, endure and rebuild their lives.”
“Jo Mimi is a mom who thought she’d done a pretty good job raising her three kids and felt proud of the life she’d lived, but life keeps sending new adversities her way,” she continued. “I hope you’ll join us to find out how Mimi overcomes the difficult ups and downs of life.”
Finally, Kang Kyung Hun will play the role of Jeon Jin Hee, the daughter-in-law of Hwang Geum Soon.
Kang Kyung Hun revealed that she paid careful attention to building her stamina while preparing for the drama, explaining, “I learned through personal experience that if you run out of physical stamina, you lose focus, and everything you need in order to act begins to waver.”
She continued, “I thought that for this drama, I should build up my stamina in advance so that I could maintain good focus up until the end while acting.”
When asked to pick a keyword for her character, Kang Kyung Hun chose “ambition.” The actress teased, “I think it’ll be entertaining to keep an eye on how much of her ambition Jin Hee is able to achieve, along with how that ambition ultimately reveals itself.”
“Mission: Mompossible” will premiere on September 28 at 8:30 p.m. KST.

Returning with a new chapter after six years, “Tazza 4: The Song of Beelzebub” follows Jang Tae Young (Byun Yo Han), who thought he had everything after building a thriving online casino empire, until his best friend Park Tae Young (Roh Jae Won) takes it all away. When fate reunites them in the world of global gambling, the former friends face off in a high-stakes game of revenge.
The newly released stills introduce five characters: Gwak Dong Wook (Jo Woo Jin), Jo Joong Hwan (Yoon Kyung Ho), Hama (Kim Min Ho), Jang Tae Hee (Im Se Mi), and Abraham (Swings). Each with their own stories and motives, they become entangled in Jang Tae Young and Park Tae Young’s confrontation, either directly or indirectly, adding to the tension of the film.
Jo Woo Jin plays Gwak Dong Wook, Jang Tae Young’s mentor who taught him how to play poker and became an important figure in his life. Once a renowned gambler, Gwak Dong Wook has been living a quiet life, moving between small gambling rooms in Vietnam. However, Jang Tae Young’s arrival awakens the gambler’s instincts he had long kept buried.
Yoon Kyung Ho takes on the role of Jo Joong Hwan, a ruthless contract killer who operates primarily in Vietnam. Although he carries out his assignments without being swayed by emotion, he takes a particular interest in Jang Tae Young, seeing him as more than just another target. The choices Jo Joong Hwan makes will have a significant impact on the lives of Jang Tae Young and Park Tae Young, making him a key variable in their story.
Kim Min Ho plays Hama, a longtime friend of both Tae Youngs. Having been familiar with getting involved in gambling games since his school days, Hama later works at the company founded by Jang Tae Young and Park Tae Young, allowing him to witness their success from the closest distance. He initially brings a playful energy to the group, but as the relationship between the two friends begins to fall apart, Hama also finds himself facing a difficult choice.
Im Se Mi plays Jang Tae Hee, Jang Tae Young’s older sister and a sister figure to Park Tae Young. After losing their parents at a young age, she raised her younger brother Jang Tae Young on her own and welcomed Park Tae Young into the family as one of her own, helping shape the unique bond between the three characters.
Rapper Swings makes his screen acting debut as Abraham, a ruthless outlaw who feels no fear and simply carries out whatever orders he is given. Because he never reveals his own thoughts or emotions, he is all the more unpredictable. Once he makes a move, he does not stop, showcasing a merciless side that makes him a formidable presence.

“Flex X Cop 2” Writer Shares Why Ahn Bo Hyun, Jung Eun Chae, And Yoo Seung Ho Were Perfect For Their Roles
“Flex x Cop 2” writer Kim Ba Da has shared her thoughts on returning for Season 2 and what viewers can look forward to!
In “Flex x Cop 2,” Ahn Bo Hyun reprises his starring role as Jin Yi Soo, a third-generation chaebol heir turned detective who uses his wealth and connections like cheat codes whenever an investigation reaches a dead end, while Jung Eun Chae plays veteran detective Joo Hye Ra, Jin Yi Soo’s new partner.
Ahead of the premiere, writer Kim Ba Da reflected on returning after two years, saying, “It’s an incredible honor. Season 2 was only possible because of the viewers, so I wanted to repay them with an even more entertaining story.”
The first season peaked at 11 percent in ratings and built a loyal fanbase, leading to an early renewal. The writer said the driving force behind Season 2 was always Jin Yi Soo, explaining, “The idea of a third-generation chaebol suddenly becoming a detective investigating murder cases was exciting, but also difficult to pull off. After a lot of thought, I tried to create someone who’s flashy but likable, shameless yet charming, and gruff on the outside but warm-hearted underneath.”
She also credited Ahn Bo Hyun for bringing the character to life, saying, “Jin Yi Soo is a very comic-book-like character, so he wasn’t easy to portray, but Ahn Bo Hyun became Jin Yi Soo himself. He always came prepared with ideas, and many of the character’s memorable lines came from his ad-libs. I could write Yi Soo’s most playful moments because I trusted him. I’m grateful I get to work with someone I can trust again for Season 2.”
The writer also praised Jung Eun Chae, saying, “I thought there was no actress other than Jung Eun Chae who could portray a determined yet quietly strong detective like Joo Hye Ra. Jung Eun Chae has a unique combination of charisma and elegance, and I admired her even more after working together. I think viewers will fall for her too.”
According to the writer, the bickering dynamic between Jin Yi Soo and Joo Hye Ra—with Joo Hye Ra effortlessly keeping Jin Yi Soo in check while he playfully pushes back—will be one of Season 2’s biggest highlights. She shared, “Joo Hye Ra is always one step ahead of Jin Yi Soo. She knows exactly how to bring out the best in him and uses that to solve cases. Meanwhile, Yi Soo eventually realizes he’s following her lead, even while trying to act tough.”
The writer also teased Yoo Seung Ho’s appearance as Yoo Sung Won, a new chaebol character. Yoo Sung Won is a third-generation chaebol and sculptor who has looked up to Jin Yi Soo like an older brother since childhood, while also remaining someone Joo Hye Ra has long viewed with suspicion.
The writer shared, “Yoo Seung Ho was the first actor who came to mind when I created Yoo Sung Won. It wasn’t an easy role, so I’m very grateful he accepted it. His performance leaves a huge impression, and viewers can definitely look forward to what he brings.”
As for Season 2’s expanded scale, the writer confidently said, “Jin Yi Soo’s ‘flex’ has no limits.” She revealed that the opening episodes will feature terrorists targeting Jin Yi Soo, who will respond with his signature over-the-top investigative methods. The season will also explore a variety of murder cases involving gangsters, magicians, traditional Korean dancers, and more.
Without revealing too much, the writer hinted that one of the season’s biggest “flex” investigations involves the fact that Jin Yi Soo owns a film production company. “I can’t say much because it would be a spoiler, but think about what someone who owns a film company could do—and how that might tie into a case. That will be part of the fun.”
Closing the interview, Kim Ba Da shared that the series’ ultimate goal is simple: to entertain viewers. Upcoming drama “OK, Let’s Get Divorced” has unveiled a glimpse of its first script reading session!
“OK, Let’s Get Divorced” follows the realistic divorce journey of a married couple who run a wedding dress shop as they decide to put an end to their exhausting marriage.
The script reading brought together director Joo Sung Woo, writer Hwang Ji Eon, and the cast including Lee Min Jung, Kim Ji Suk, Lee Hyun Jin, Lee Jini, Jung Eui Jae, and Wang Bit Na.
According to the production team, the actors immersed themselves in their roles as soon as the script reading began.
Lee Min Jung stars as Baek Mi Young, the CEO of G&White. She delicately portrays a character torn between her responsibilities at home and her identity as a workaholic. Her emotionally charged line, “Let’s get divorced,” hints at the emotional depth of her character’s journey.

“A Bona fide Killer” is an action drama that follows the story of a working mother with the most lethal job in the world as she fights to protect her work–life balance.
The script reading brought together director Yoon Jong Ho, writer Kim Eun Hee, and the cast including Kong Hyo Jin, Jung Jun Won, Lee Sang Yi, Sung Dong Il, Mu Jin Sung, Lee Eun Saem, and Choi Woo Sung.
From their very first meeting, the cast fully immersed themselves in their respective characters, completing the unique atmosphere of the drama where cheerful laughter and tension coexist.
Kong Hyo Jin plays Yu Bo Na, the manager of Sales Team 3 at Durumi Electronics and the legendary sniper known as “Kingfisher.” She delivers a layered performance portraying a dual life that shifts between an ordinary housewife and a cold-blooded killer.

Netflix’s upcoming drama “The WONDERfools” has released a new video featuring its cast introducing their characters!
“The WONDERfools” is a superpower comic action set in 1999, a time when apocalyptic beliefs were rampant. It follows a group of neighborhood misfits who unexpectedly gain superpowers and fight against villains threatening the peace of Haeseong City.
In the newly released video, Park Eun Bin, Cha Eun Woo, Choi Dae Hoon, and Im Seong Jae offer brief introductions to their roles.
Park Eun Bin, who plays Eun Chae Ni, commented, “She’s the granddaughter of the owner of Hearty House. But instead of her name Eun Chae Ni, everyone in Haeseong City knows her as ‘Trainwreck.’” She added, “She gains the ability of teleportation. Not only can she teleport, she’s also tied to a crucial secret that pushes the narrative forward.”
Cha Eun Woo, who plays Lee Un Jeong, said, “The character Un Jeong is specially assigned to Haeseong City as a civil servant.” He explained his superpower: “He has the power of telekinesis, which means he can lift objects or hurl them however he pleases.”

Lee Chae Min Dishes On Challenging Himself With “Bon Appétit, Your Majesty,” His Preferred Types Of Roles, And More
Lee Chae Min recently joined Harper’s BAZAAR Korea for a pictorial and interview!
In the interview following his photo shoot, the rising actor shared candid thoughts about his career and acting roles. When asked what kinds of roles he is drawn to, he said, “They fall into two categories. There are projects I want to do because I can deeply relate to them or think they’d be fun, and there are projects I’m not entirely sure about but want to challenge myself with in order to discover a new side of me. In between taking on roles I can relate to, I also occasionally challenge myself with historical dramas or villain roles, which I think has made my filmography a bit diverse.”
When asked if there was a project that had made him nervous, he replied, “’Bon Appétit, Your Majesty’ was one where I clenched my teeth and told myself to just go for it. I was very happy and grateful, but honestly, the thought at the forefront of my mind was ‘Will I really be able to pull this off?’ The keyword ‘tyrant’ worried me. I’m not someone who usually expresses anger openly or raises my voice, so I wasn’t sure if I could handle the role of a high-intensity tyrant. In the beginning, I approached the acting almost like a task I had to carry out, but with the help of those around me and the director, I was able to see it through to the end.”
On how his strong competitive spirit has influenced him, Lee Chae Min remarked, “It has never allowed me to become complacent. There are so many people around me who can influence me. Rather than trying to follow their lives, I think part of my competitiveness comes from drawing motivation from them. Thanks to that, I’ve been able to keep working hard up until now.”
