“Reborn Rookie” has unveiled a new poster!

“Reborn Rookie” follows Kang Yong Ho (Son Hyun Joo), the powerful chairman of the leading conglomerate Choi Sung Group, who is revered as a business genius. After an accident, however, he unexpectedly finds himself living a second life when his soul swaps into the youthful body of a soccer player named Hwang Jun Hyun (Lee Jun Young), forcing him to start over as a rookie employee at his own company.

After an accident, Kang Yong Ho wakes up in Hwang Jun Hyun’s body and returns to Choi Sung Group as a new employee to reclaim the chairman position. From inside the company, he quietly observes operations and prepares for a power struggle against rivals competing for the chairman’s seat.

May Rookie Idol Group Brand Reputation Rankings Announced

The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for rookie idol groups!

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community awareness indexes of various rookie idol groups, using big data collected from April 1 to May 1.

KiiiKiii continued their reign at the top of the list this month with a brand reputation index of 1,154,671. High-ranking phrases in the group’s keyword analysis included “Gen Z vibe,” “404,” and “KiiiKiii FesTiiival,” while their highest-ranking related terms included “distinguish themselves,” “participate,” and “active.” KiiiKiii’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 92.17 percent positive reactions.

Meanwhile, TWS rose to second place with a brand reputation index of 930,321 for May.

Hearts2Hearts came in at a close third with a brand reputation index of 904,097, while CORTIS followed in fourth with a score of 877,463.

Finally, ILLIT rounded out the top five with a brand reputation index of 776,045, marking a 3.94 percent increase in their score since April.

Following the accident involving Chairman Kang Yong Ho, a fierce succession battle erupts over the vacant chairman position. “Reborn Rookie” follows Kang Yong Ho (Son Hyun Joo), the powerful chairman of the leading conglomerate Choi Sung Group, who is revered as a business genius. After an accident, however, he unexpectedly finds himself living a second life when his soul swaps into the youthful body of a soccer player named Hwang Jun Hyun (Lee Jun Young), forcing him to start over as a rookie employee at his own company.

The newly released teaser captures the chaos that ensues from the moment Hwang Jun Hyun first steps into Procurement Team 2. In one scene, his exclamation, “Is this—is this really a company?” hints at the unfamiliar workplace environment and the incidents he will soon face.

From the moment he arrives, the atmosphere Hwang Jun Hyun encounters in Procurement Team 2 is anything but smooth. He is greeted by Park Bong Gi (Lee Sung Wook), a longtime department head with almost no presence, and Kang Bang Geul (Lee Ju Myoung), the chairman’s youngest daughter, who secretly joined Choi Sung Group while hiding her identity. Standing before them, he gives the impression that he has grasped the situation in a short amount of time, quickly reading the department’s internal relationships and the company’s power structure.

However, he is unable to hide the instincts and attitudes he developed while living as a chairman. Hwang Jun Hyun is a once-promising figure in the soccer world who, after an unexpected accident, becomes possessed by the soul of Kang Yong Ho. As a result, Lee Jun Young portrays two distinct personas: soccer player Hwang Jun Hyun and company chairman Kang Yong Ho.

Lee Jun Young revealed that the “soul-switching” premise was the reason he chose the project, saying, “The fact that I could portray both Hwang Jun Hyun and Kang Yong Ho within a single project felt like an incredibly appealing challenge as an actor. On top of that, the script itself was really entertaining, so I chose the project without hesitation.”

The newly released teaser introduces Hwang Jun Hyun’s story through a “game” that forces him to make a series of choices. Upon sitting down at his computer, Hwang Jun Hyun is greeted with a title screen welcoming him to Choiseong Group. When he presses the start button, he is asked to choose between becoming a 72-year-old chaebol chairman and a 27-year-old intern, and he clicks on the latter.

Amidst glimpses of Hwang Jun Hyun’s struggles as a passionate new intern, he expresses his devotion to the company by declaring, “Your first job is like your first love.”

Next, Hwang Jun Hyun must decide between letting his eldest son (Jin Goo) destroy the company with his incompetence or letting his eldest daughter (Jeon Hye Jin) ruthlessly seize control of it, and he once again chooses the latter.

After a sneak peek of the vicious succession battle between the two siblings, the focus shifts to Hwang Jun Hyun’s youngest daughter (Lee Ju Myoung), with whom he will have to work as a newly hired intern. Having to watch his daughter from up close, his paternal instincts kick in, and he angrily scolds her for dating at work.

Finally, Hwang Jun Hyun is asked to make the difficult choice between protecting Choiseong Group and protecting his children. Turning to the camera, Hwang Jun Hyun begins to reply, “What I want is…” before trailing off.

JTBC’s upcoming drama “Reborn Rookie” has shared new stills featuring Son Hyun Joo!

“Reborn Rookie” follows Kang Yong Ho (Son Hyun Joo), the powerful chairman of the leading conglomerate Choi Sung Group, who is revered as a business genius. After an accident, however, he unexpectedly finds himself living a second life when his soul swaps into the youthful body of a soccer player named Hwang Jun Hyun (Lee Jun Young), forcing him to start over as a rookie employee at his own company.

Kang Yong Ho is a legendary figure who raised Choi Sung Group from 20th place to the top 10 among Korea’s conglomerates through his bold, risk-taking spirit, even amid numerous crises such as the IMF financial crisis and the oil shock. Despite constant rivalry and opposition from his half-siblings, he has led the group with unwavering determination and a cool-headed, rational management philosophy.

Above all, he strictly applies his performance-oriented values even to his own family, placing both his daughter and son in fierce competition over succession to the company.

However, Kang Yong Ho’s life changes completely after an unexpected accident. When he opens his eyes, he finds himself in the body of soccer player Hwang Jun Hyun. With no shares in the company and now working as an intern at Choi Sung Group, he begins a new battle to reclaim his position as chairman.
