Hani’s Family Brings Equal Parts Heartache And Comfort In “Love On The Menu”

“Love on the Menu” has offered a glimpse of the complicated dynamics of Hani’s family.

“Love on the Menu” is a family romance drama that follows Kim Moo Jin (Ha Seok Jin) and Han Gyu Rim (Hani), two former lovers who reunite eight years after a painful breakup. As they reconnect, they piece together the fragments of their broken families and create the warmest table of life together.

The new stills offer a glimpse into the eventful daily life of the Han family, highlighting the close yet complicated bonds that keep them together despite years of love and resentment.

Hani stars as Han Gyu Rim, the eldest daughter of the Han family. Park You Na plays her younger sister Han Gyu Young, while Ryu Seung Soo takes on the role of their immature father Han Seok Joong, bringing comic relief to the drama.

Bae Yoon Gyu plays Han Gyu Oh, Han Gyu Rim’s younger brother, while Park Soo Oh and Kim Min Seo portray the family’s youngest twins, Han Gyu Seo and Han Gyu Min.

Although each family member carries their own emotional wounds and approaches life differently, Han Gyu Rim remains the heart of the family. Their father Han Seok Joong constantly leans on her, while Han Gyu Young often takes advantage of her older sister’s kindness. In contrast, Han Gyu Oh and the youngest twins care for and protect Gyu Rim more than anyone else. These contrasting relationships, shaped by both affection and resentment, create the Han family’s unique dynamic and are expected to deepen the emotional impact of the story.

“Love on the Menu” has unveiled a new teaser!

The newly released teaser offers a glimpse into the intertwined relationships at the center of the story, capturing a condensed array of romantic storylines ranging from fated love to a contentious relationship filled with bickering.

Kim Moo Jin and Han Gyu Rim tease the romance that seems destined to blossom between them, as their lingering gazes continue after Kim Moo Jin expresses his feelings, asking, “Are we really just an ordinary connection?”

The teaser introduces other relationships that bring different dynamics to the story. Jo Heung Sik (Bae Jung Nam) taps on the bus window toward Han Gyu Young (Park You Na), who is seated in the priority seating area, telling her to give up her seat for an elderly passenger. She closes her eyes, pretending not to hear him, creating a humorous rivalry from the start.

In addition, the conversation between Han Seok Joong (Ryu Seung Soo) and Hong Ok Sun (Jin Kyung), who bicker over which of them is older, foreshadows an unexpected encounter between the two.

The teaser also highlights the steadfast side of Han Gyu Oh (Bae Yoon Gyu), who takes the hand of Kwon Hee Na (Jung Bo Min), who is crouched down in a difficult situation, and leads her forward, saying, “Just keep looking straight ahead and keep going.” Their subtle emotional dynamic is further revealed through Kwon Hee Na’s drunken question, “Are you worried about me right now?”

“Love on the Menu” has shared new stills of its supporting characters!

The newly released stills spotlight four key characters who will serve as the emotional pillars of the drama: Jang Hoon Tae (Kwon Hae Hyo), Go Yoon Hee (Yoon Yoo Sun), Han Seok Joong (Ryu Seung Soo), and Hong Ok Sun (Jin Kyung).

Kwon Hae Hyo plays Jang Hoon Tae, the chairman of a fashion company and a refined gentleman. After struggling to move on following the death of his first wife, he finds happiness again by marrying Go Yoon Hee. A devoted husband and dependable father, he exudes warmth and quiet strength behind his gentle smile.

Yoon Yoo Sun portrays Go Yoon Hee, a woman carrying deep emotional scars. Forced to leave behind her three children after her former husband unilaterally demanded a divorce, she begins a new chapter of her life after marrying Jang Hoon Tae. However, her longing for her children and the guilt she carries continue to weigh heavily on her heart.

Ryu Seung Soo takes on the role of Han Seok Joong, the carefree patriarch of the Han family. After divorcing his first wife and remarrying, he unexpectedly finds himself abandoned when his second wife causes trouble and disappears. Despite the setbacks, Han Seok Joong remains an optimist who dreams of turning his life around. In the newly released stills, however, his unusually somber expression hints that something has gone terribly wrong.

Jin Kyung stars as Hong Ok Sun, a self-made CEO who built a successful conglomerate from the ground up. Although she projects a strong and authoritative presence, she is also a deeply devoted mother to her son, Kim Moo Jin (Ha Seok Jin). Even in simple attire, her elegance and unwavering gaze convey the weight and dignity of her character.

KBS2’s “Love on the Menu” has unveiled a new teaser!

“Love on the Menu” is a family romance drama that follows two former lovers who reunite eight years after a painful breakup. As they reconnect, they piece together the fragments of their broken families and create the warmest table of life together.

Ha Seok Jin plays Kim Moo Jin, a perfectly credentialed owner-chef of an Italian restaurant, while Hani plays Han Gyu Rim, a side-dish shop employee who maintains a bright spirit despite a difficult reality.

The newly released teaser begins with Han Gyu Oh (Bae Youn Kyu) feeling sorry for his eldest sister Han Gyu Rim, telling his second eldest sister Han Gyu Young (Park You Na), “Gyu Rim gave up college for you. She gave up her dreams so you could go to medical school.” However, Han Gyu Young coldly replies, “What dream does Han Gyu Rim have?” which is followed by a scene of Jo Heung Sik (Bae Jung Nam) scolding her.

The teaser further piques intrigue about Han Gyu Oh’s mysterious life. Han Gyu Seo (Park Soo Oh) tells their father Han Seok Joong (Ryu Seung Soo), “Don’t take that money. Do you know how he earned that money?” while a scene of the past shows Han Gyu Oh at the police station as a high school student. As Han Gyu Rim hugs her younger siblings, the text, “Are we family?” appears on screen.

As Han Gyu Young expresses her wishes for the chairman to be her father, Han Gyu Min (Kim Min Seo) also gives a judging look to their troublemaking father. When Han Seok Joong warns his daughter Han Gyu Rim about meeting the wrong man in life, Han Gyu Rim defends Kim Moo Jin (Ha Seok Jin), saying, “Moo Jin is different.” However, that trust appears to break through misunderstandings.

Eventually pushed to the edge, Han Gyu Rim states, “I can’t listen to your unreasonableness anymore. Don’t meddle in other people’s lives,” previewing the chaotic family and romantic dynamics to come.
