S9E1: Sweet & Spicy Korean Fried Chicken Bao

Watch on OFTV

Season 9 kicks off with Kylie Rocket and Girthmasterr facing off over Korean fried chicken bao buns.

Kylie, a proud Puerto Rican, immediately reaches for her mom’s homemade sofrito to bring some Latin flavor into the challenge, while Girthmasterr draws from a childhood shaped by his cafeteria-lady mom and home-cooked meals.

Chef JoJo warns Kylie not to let the sofrito overpower the dish, while Girth settles into the challenge by carefully building out a cucumber slaw and marinating his chicken.

"
Chef Jojo says, “Not a fan of the mayo,” during judging as Kylie Rocket cheers hopefully beside Girthmasterr.

As the countdown hits its final seconds, both chefs scramble to finish plating, with Girthmasterr barely squeezing on his last bit of kewpie mayo before Chef JoJo calls time.

Kylie’s chicken earns praise, but her sofrito overwhelms the rest of the dish. Girthmasterr’s bao bun fares better overall, with Chef JoJo complimenting both his chicken and the acidity in his cucumber slaw, though the oversteamed bun and extra mayo cost him points.

In a close decision, Girthmasterr edges out the win and becomes the first chef to advance to the semifinals.

S9E2: Signature Ramen

Watch on OFTV

Salome Munoz and Willow Harper enter with very little cooking confidence and even less ramen experience.

Salome grew up surrounded by flavorful Spanish and Portuguese cooking, but admits she mostly survives on takeout these days. Willow’s kitchen expertise begins and ends with the microwave, which immediately becomes apparent once the challenge begins.

Willow seasons her short rib before overcorrecting with an avalanche of cayenne pepper, forcing Chef JoJo to step in.

Salome runs into similar trouble after loading her broth with far too much Tabasco.

Willow Harper dumps seasoning into her pan as Chef Jojo asks, “Is that cayenne pepper?” before reacting in confessional.
Salome Munoz pours broth over her ramen noodles before admitting in confessional, “I think I misunderstood.”

As the final seconds tick away, Salome calmly finishes her garnishes while Willow races just to get broth and noodles into the bowl before time expires.

Chef JoJo praises Salome’s short rib and jammy egg, but her broth is overloaded with Tabasco and the noodles are so undercooked he has to spit them out. Willow’s ramen is far from perfect, but her broth is balanced, her noodles are cooked through, and her short rib lands much better overall.

With Salome’s noodles sealing her fate, Willow takes the win and advances to the semifinals.

S9E3: Cacio e Pepe with Bucatini

Watch on OFTV

Lela Star and Natalia Starr arrive with very different food backgrounds but similarly shaky confidence.

Lela grew up in a Cuban household full of flavor, though she’s more of an air fryer artist. Natalia grew up in Poland around fresh vegetables, but admits she’s more comfortable in packaged-salad territory.

Chef JoJo gives them a deceptively simple challenge: cacio e pepe with bucatini made from scratch.

Once the clock starts, it becomes clear neither contestant is ready for homemade pasta, forcing Chef JoJo to walk them through the basics step by step.

Lela Star and Natalia Starr wash their hands together before Lela points at the camera in confessional and jokes, “Your hands are dirty.”
Chef Jojo tells Natalia Starr, “I would have not added the flour,” as she dramatically rolls her eyes back during judging.

The energy in the kitchen stays surprisingly relaxed as Chef JoJo, Lela, and Natalia joke their way through homemade pasta chaos. But once the clock dips under ten minutes, both contestants start making risky decisions.

Lela loads her cacio e pepe with wine, sage, pepperoni, and heavy cream, while Natalia somehow pushes things even further by adding flour to her sauce. Chef JoJo visibly spirals watching both contestants drift farther and farther away from traditional cacio e pepe.

In the end, Lela’s well-cooked pasta and flavorful sauce win out over Natalia’s thick, paste-like creation.

S9E4: Berry Ricotta Pancakes and Bratwurst

Watch on OFTV

Sinatra Monroe and Haley Reed enter Chef JoJo’s kitchen feeling unusually confident for a This Is Fire challenge.

Chef JoJo tasks them with making ricotta pancakes with blueberries and bratwurst, a combination that sounds strange enough to immediately throw everyone off balance.

Haley quickly abandons her pancake confidence under the pressure, while Sinatra tries to separate herself by adding lemon zest and extra flavor to her batter.

Sinatra Monroe tastes raw pancake batter while Chef Jojo reacts nervously beside her in the kitchen.
Haley Reed asks, “Is it undercooked?” as Chef Jojo spits the food into a napkin and nods. Haley responds, “Oh no.”

As the pressure builds, Haley regains some confidence by adding cinnamon apples to her pancakes, while Sinatra watches her bratwurst links slowly fall apart into more of a sausage scramble.

By the time plating begins, both dishes look more “crime scene brunch” than a Michelin-star breakfast. Haley’s bratwurst and pancakes end up undercooked despite strong flavors from her apples and compote, while Sinatra nails the bratwurst but struggles with pancakes of her own.

In the end, Sinatra advances by default after Haley misses the mark on two of the three components.

S9E5: Lamb with Seasonal Squash

Watch on OFTV

The semifinals begin with Willow Harper and Girthmasterr facing off for a spot in the finals.

Willow is coming off her signature ramen victory, while Girthmasterr barely survived the first round with his Korean fried chicken bao buns.

Willow immediately races for the only butternut squash in the pantry, forcing Girthmasterr to pivot to a honeynut squash inspired by his family’s pumpkin soup recipe.

While Girth settles into the challenge by basting his lamb with sage, rosemary, and butter, Willow spirals trying to figure out how to properly break down her cut of lamb.

Chef Jojo holds out a piece of Willow's lamb to camera to demonstrate it's cooked.
Girthmasterr says in confessional, “Of course. Chef made the right decision,” after advancing to the finals.

As time starts running out, Willow scrambles to fix her oversalted lamb and overly buttery squash purée while Girthmasterr focuses onfinishing touches.

Chef JoJo praises the cook on Willow’s lamb and butternut squash purée, though her seasoning is too heavy-handed. Girthmasterr earns compliments for his honeynut squash and berry compote, but his lamb needs salt.

In the end, Girthmasterr edges out the win and punches his ticket to the finals.

S9E6: Mussels with Chorizo and Sourdough

Watch on OFTV

Lela Star and Sinatra Monroe enter the semifinals after surviving the first round. Their reward? A delicate mussels challenge with white wine and chorizo.

Neither contestant has much seafood experience, which becomes obvious almost immediately as Chef JoJo fields a nonstop stream of questions from both sides of the kitchen.

Lela focuses on building flavor through her chorizo and toast points, while Sinatra wrestles with a watery wine sauce.

But the real source of Chef JoJo’s panic arrives when both contestants start reaching for heavy cream.

Chef Jojo slams a pot onto Sinatra Monroe’s garlic and says, “That works, too,” during the semifinal challenge.
Lela Star crosses her fingers in confessional and jokes, “Hopefully I don’t give him food poisoning,” while looking up toward the sky.

As the clock winds down, Lela struggles to balance reducing her sauce with properly cooking the mussels, while Sinatra sacrifices presentation to get everything onto the plate.

Chef JoJo praises Lela’s chorizo and toast points, but her sauce lacks seasoning and the mussels are slightly overcooked. Sinatra’s sauce also needs more reduction, but her mussels and chorizo completely win Chef JoJo over with both flavor and texture.

That strong seafood execution seals the deal, sending Sinatra to the finals and one step closer to the $20,000 grand prize.

S9E7: Lasagna with Cannoli

Watch on OFTV

The finals arrive with $20,000 on the line as Girthmasterr and Sinatra Monroe battle for the season 9 championship.

After surviving multiple rounds of kitchen chaos, both finalists now face Chef JoJo’s toughest challenge yet: lasagna and cannoli, both made in under 45 minutes.

The second the clock starts, the kitchen turns frantic. Sinatra begins building out her meat sauce while Girthmasterr focuses on his ragu, but an early mistake immediately throws Sinatra off course when she accidentally burns her butter.

Sinatra Monroe playfully mimes sprinkling powdered sugar during confessional after the cannoli challenge.
Chef Jojo tells Girthmasterr, “Chef Girth, congratulations!” as Girth bows beside the winning cutting board.

Sinatra locks in on her lasagna while Girthmasterr plots psychological warfare by hiding Sinatra’s cannoli shells.

Unfortunately for Girth, karma hits fast when he forgets powdered sugar for his own dessert.

When judging begins, Chef JoJo is blown away by Sinatra’s lasagna, calling the execution nearly flawless, though her cannolis fall flat on flavor. Girthmasterr’s lasagna has a few issues with seasoning and texture, but his four different cannolis completely steal the show.

In one of the closest decisions of the season, Girthmasterr takes the win and is crowned the season 9 champion.

Grand Championship: Deli Challenge

Watch on OFTV

It’s the This Is Fire Season 9 Grand Championship, with reigning champion Gal Ritchie returning to defend her title against newly crowned champion Girthmasterr.

Chef JoJo announces a full deli challenge: sandwich, soup or salad, and a freshly squeezed drink. Gal opts for a tuna melt with salad and orange-ginger juice, while Girthmasterr goes classic deli with a BLT, potato soup, and pineapple juice.

Once the clock starts, both chefs settle into very different approaches, though they surprisingly reach for the same ciabatta bread as the foundation for their sandwiches.

Gal Ritchie jokes in confessional, “It’s like he was trying to send me brain waves. Marble rye, marble rye,” while Chef Jojo speaks in the background.
Gal Ritchie says, “This has been fire,” before Girthmasterr adds, “Cheers!” as the two toast together in the final confessional.

As the final minute approaches, both champions scramble to finish plating, with Girth racing for mayo and Gal throwing together a last-second salad.

Chef JoJo immediately loves Girthmasterr’s BLT, especially when paired with his potato soup despite its heavy starchiness. Gal fights back with a bright orange-ginger juice and a simple salad that unexpectedly reminds Chef JoJo of home, while her tuna melt earns a respectable “fine.”

In the end, Girthmasterr’s deli spread wins Chef JoJo over and secures him the This Is Fire Season 9 Grand Championship title.

Variety Show “Iron Girls” To Return For Season 3 With Geum Sae Rok, Seol In Ah, Han Ji Hyeon, And Yeonwoo

tvN’s variety show “Iron Girls” is returning for its third season!

In the first season of “Iron Girls,” all members successfully completed a triathlon, while in the second season, they all became boxing champions. This season, they will be taking on short-track speed skating.

The new season’s lineup includes Geum Sae Rok and Seol In Ah, who appeared in the previous season, as well as new cast members Han Ji Hyeon and Yeonwoo.

Geum Sae Rok, who was initially considered the weakest member last season due to physical limitations despite her burning passion, ultimately created a true comeback story by winning a gold medal in the boxing competition. She will once again take on intense training with her positive mindset.

Seol In Ah, dubbed an “all-around athletic genius” for conquering both triathlon and boxing, will also dive into the speed battle on the ice. Last season, she won the Best Athlete in Her 20s award at the Korea Sports Council President’s National Amateur Boxing Competition and was also nominated for the Best Female Entertainer Award at the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards. Anticipation is high for what kind of determination and strength she will display on the rink.

Notably, this will mark Han Ji Hyeon’s first fixed variety show appearance. During a previous drama shoot, Han Ji Hyeon underwent training herself and filmed action scenes without a stunt double, so attention is now focused on her athletic ability and stamina, which have yet to be fully revealed.

Lastly, Yeonwoo will also be joining the cast this season. Yeonwoo has a unique background as a former track and field athlete who even competed as a regional representative during her childhood. Attention is focused on what kind of performance she will deliver on the ice, where even a difference of 0.01 seconds can determine the color of a medal.

“Iron Girls 3” is scheduled to premiere in the second half of the year.

In the meantime, watch Seol In Ah in “Twinkling Watermelon” on Viki below!

S7E1: Jamie Lyn / Rafael Gueto

Watch on OFTV

Jamie Lyn Rinn and Rafael Gueto kick off Miss/Match Season 7 with an unpredictable start. Jamie Lyn’s sharp, teasing humor meets Rafael’s laid-back beach energy, but things get complicated when she learns he lives in Bali.

The distance raises questions early, especially as they start to compare lifestyles and expectations. Still, they find a rhythm as they get to know each other. A game of Blind Recall shows they’re paying attention, even if they don’t get every detail right, and their back-and-forth begins to feel more natural as they settle in.

Zoom in on the airbrushed face as Antje grimaces and tells Rafael, “A for effort.”
Rafael and Jamie Lyn hold up their “Match” paddles and say, “It’s a Match!”

A spray-paint challenge brings some laughs, with Rafael’s artwork missing the mark but keeping the mood light. The playful chaos helps break down any lingering tension and keeps the energy moving.

By the time they reach the Deeper Dive, the conversation shifts. Both open up about what they’re looking for, with Jamie Lyn drawn to Rafael’s loyalty and Rafael intrigued by the idea of sharing his life in Bali.

As they leave the hot tub, both seem uncertain about their compatibility. But when it’s time to turn their paddles over, the answer is clear.

It’s a MATCH!

S7E2: Nate Harris / Haven Tunin

Watch on OFTV

From the start, Nate Harris and Haven Tunin have very different energies. Nate is more reserved, looking to open up, while Haven brings a confident, playful presence with a touch of her signature witchy personality.

Haven’s entrance throws Nate off early when he realizes she looks just like his ex, but the moment passes quickly as they settle in. Haven is encouraged by Nate’s openness to her more mystical side, and their dynamic begins to take shape.

During Blind Recall, they don’t land every answer, but they pick up on enough details to keep things moving.

Haven looks directly at the camera and says “I can be a dommy mommy for sure.”
Nate looks sheepishly at Haven before turning over his paddle, and she bites her lip as she looks back.

Outside, a Jenga-style game pushes them to answer more personal questions. While they learn a lot about each other, both admit their nerves might be holding them back from fully opening up.

During the Deeper Dive, a new challenge emerges when Nate reveals he’s allergic to cats after Haven shares she has four. A potential roadblock, but not enough to stop them.

When it’s time to make a decision, there’s no clear read on where they stand. But when the paddles turn…

It’s a MATCH!

S7E3: Noah D / Genie Exum

Watch on OFTV

Noah Danehower and Genie Exum bring a chaotic energy from the start. Noah is upfront about wanting something more nurturing, while Genie makes it clear she’s not looking for anything serious.

Their banter is immediate and relentless, with both leaning into a competitive dynamic. There’s a clear spark, but neither is willing to give ground, leading to a back-and-forth of playful jabs that borders on tension.

A game of Lie To Me only adds to it, with both fully committing to the bit and matching each other’s energy.

Genie picks the “Scissor” card as Noah reacts, “Scissor with women? Okay!” and Antje looks surprised.
Genie turns her paddle to reveal ‘Miss’ as Noah shrugs it off and Antje laughs.

Things heat up during a compatibility challenge, where they’re asked to work together through a series of scenarios. While they don’t always land on the same page, some chemistry is still there.

In the Deeper Dive, the tone stays light, but the alignment becomes clearer. Both admit they’re looking for something short-term, and they recognize the dynamic might not hold up beyond the moment.

To nobody’s surprise, both Noah and Genie choose Miss.

It’s a MISS!

S7E4: Sam Kruse / Nico Contrada

Watch on OFTV

Sam Kruse, a model who prefers deeper relationships over casual dating, is looking for someone who can match her outgoing personality. Nico Contrada, a Hawaii-based skydiver, is coming off a rough stretch and hopes to find someone equally expressive.

The early moments are tentative, but they find a rhythm when they realize they’re both from Northern California.

Nico perks up more when Sam shares that she owns an indoor soccer arena.

Nico recoils at his airbrush mistake as Antje notices and reacts, “Ooo.”
Sam and Nico show off their matching T-shirts as Sam says, “We already have our outfits for date #2.”

During Blind Recall, Sam shows she’s dialed in, while Nico struggles to keep up, missing a few key details. Outside, a round of Me On A Tee keeps things playful, even if the artistic results fall short.

The lighthearted energy carries them into the Deeper Dive, where the topics become more personal. Sam opens up about her past relationship, while Nico shares his vision for the future, including a very specific plan for starting a family.

As the day winds down, it’s clear the spark between Sam and Nico has grown. Both choose Match, ready to see where things go.

It’s a MATCH!

S7E5: Cassie Marrufo / Zac Attack

Watch on OFTV

Cassie Marrufo and Zac Attack have very different expectations for their Miss/Match experience. Cassie is more reserved and selective, while Zac brings a confident, country energy that’s hard to miss.

The attraction is immediate, with both quick to acknowledge each other’s looks. Early conversation is playful but revealing, as Zac shares his past as a stripper and Cassie leans into her offbeat sense of humor.

But once they move into a game of Lie To Me, the dynamic starts to shift. A few unexpected details begin to throw them off, and the initial spark gives way to a more uneasy back-and-forth.

Cassie and Zac in their bathing suits ahead of the Deeper Dive, shown in a quick montage.
Cassie reveals her paddle showing “Miss.” Zac laughs as Antje reacts, “Oh! It’s a Miss.”

A round of Perfect Position keeps things moving, with both relying more on instinct than certainty. The energy stays light, but the disconnect lingers beneath the surface.

In the Deeper Dive, Cassie tries to get Zac to reveal more, but he stays aloof. While they bond over their families, Cassie begins to question if Zac is truly engaged.

As they reach the paddle reveal, the disconnect is hard to ignore. Zac chooses Match, but Cassie goes with Miss.

Zac: MATCH

Cassie: MISS

S7E6: Kay Carlson / Josue Gonzalez

Watch on OFTV

Kay Carlson and Josue Gonzalez share an easy, high-energy chemistry from the start. Kay, a fitness influencer ready to move beyond casual dating, brings a playful, outgoing personality, while Josue’s laid-back “party-hippie” vibe keeps things light.

Conversation moves quickly as they bond over shared interests like travel and dogs. A game of Blind Recall keeps that momentum going, with both showing they’re tuned in and engaged with each other.

Kay looks down at Josue’s pottery and says, “That’s good. That is really impressive.”
Josue smirks, revealing his “Match” paddle as Antje celebrates, “It’s a Match!”

Things stay playful during Mold My Heart, where they work together to shape a pottery piece while blindfolded. The results may fall short, but the connection is clear, and the flirty energy carries through.

In the Deeper Dive, the tone shifts as they open up about their dating histories. Josue reflects on the work he’s put into himself over the past few years, while Kay shares her focus on personal growth and finding something more meaningful.

Even with the long-distance factor in the mix, both decide on Match.

It’s a MATCH!

S7E7: Sedona / Syler

Watch on OFTV

Syler and Sedona Sky start off with an intriguing contrast. Syler, a bodybuilder with a more reserved demeanor, is looking for something meaningful, while Sedona brings an adventurous energy shaped by her love of travel and unconventional interests.

They quickly find common ground in their shared Arizona roots, but differences emerge just as fast.

Syler questions Sedona’s tattoos, while Sedona is thrown off by Syler’s lack of travel experience, creating an early push and pull in their dynamic.

Sedona taps on the Wood You Rather block and says, “That is hard.” Antje replies, “That’s what she said.”
Sedona reveals “Miss” and says, “I feel like I’m not really his type,” as Syler reacts.

During Lie To Me, both reveal unexpected sides of themselves, but the disconnect lingers. Sedona struggles to read Syler’s steady tone, while Syler remains unsure about Sedona’s more eccentric interests.

A round of Wood You Rather gives them more insight into each other, but the vibe never quite clicks. By the time they reach the Deep Dive, they manage to find common ground on values like family and long-term stability.

But the paddles tell a different story. Both choose Miss.

It’s a MISS!

S7E8: Jaz / Tony

Watch on OFTV

Jaz Payne and Tony Alejandro bring totally different energies to their first meeting. Jaz is confident and direct about what she wants, while Tony, despite his party persona, comes across more reserved in the moment.

Jaz quickly takes the lead in the discussion, though she’s clearly drawn to Tony’s look. A game of Lie To Me highlights the difference in their styles, with Jaz easily reading through Tony’s answers while keeping a few surprises of her own.

Things stay playful, even as Tony struggles to keep up.

Jaz and Tony look down at their pottery as Jaz says, “That’s not what I thought it’d look like at all.”
Tony says, “I’m pregnant,” and Jaz gasps. He adds, “It’s yours,” and Jaz cracks up laughing.

Things loosen during Mold My Heart, where the focus shifts more toward having fun than getting the challenge right. The light energy carries them into the Deep Dive, where things get much more personal.

Tony opens up about wanting to settle down, while Jaz shares that her last relationship was open, adding that she’s open to different dynamics moving forward.

Both choose Match, leaning into their attraction and the connection they built. What that means for the question of an open relationship remains to be seen.

It’s a MATCH!

“Signal” Season 2 Reportedly Removed From tvN’s Summer Programming + tvN Responds

Season 2 of “Signal” has reportedly been removed from tvN’s summer programming.

On April 17, Korean news outlet OSEN reported that “The Second Signal,” the long-awaited second season of the hit 2016 drama “Signal,” had been pulled from its summer broadcast slot and would no longer be premiering in June as originally scheduled.

OSEN also reported that tvN had decided to air Apple TV+’s “Pachinko” instead of “The Second Signal.”

Later that morning, tvN responded to the reports by stating, “Nothing has yet been decided regarding the broadcasting of ‘The Second Signal.’”

The network also stated, “While it’s true that ‘Pachinko’ has been confirmed to air on tvN, the exact dates and time slot have not yet been decided.”

In December of last year, “The Second Signal” star Cho Jin Woong came under fire after he was revealed to have a juvenile criminal record from his school days. Disclosures also surfaced about incidents from his adulthood, including an assault-related dispute and a drunk driving record. Cho Jin Woong ultimately acknowledged responsibility and announced his retirement, leaving the future of “The Second Signal,” which had already completed filming in August, uncertain.

According to OSEN’s unconfirmed report, “The Second Signal” has not been definitively canceled. Instead, tvN is currently in the process of taking more time to consider its broadcast plans for the drama. As the series was originally intended to air this year to commemorate tvN’s 20th anniversary, the network is said to be discussing the possibility of a premiere sometime before the end of 2026.

5 Chae Jong Hyeop K-Dramas To Add To Your Watch List If You Miss “In Your Radiant Season”

Chae Jong Hyeop has carved out a unique space for himself. As an actor, he feels less like a distant star and more like someone you’re instinctively rooting for. There is a gentle, unforced warmth in his performances, a “boy-next-door” charm that feels entirely authentic. It’s this very quality that leaves viewers wanting more, often feeling as though his screen time hasn’t quite caught up to his undeniable presence. Following his recent turn in “In Your Radiant Season,” it’s clear that his ability to balance vulnerability with effortless charisma continues to be his greatest strength.

The recently wrapped heartfelt romantic drama gently explores love, grief, and the slow process of healing. The story centers on Song Ha Ran (Lee Sung Kyung), a successful fashion designer who appears to have it all, yet continues to carry the emotional weight of losing her boyfriend years ago. Still unable to move on, she keeps herself guarded and distant from the world around her. Her life begins to shift when she meets Sunwoo Chan (Chae Jong Hyeop), an animator who has recently returned to Korea after living abroad. Warm and easygoing, Chan suggests they spend three months as friends. What starts as a simple arrangement gradually becomes something more meaningful, as Ha-ran begins to open up and rediscover parts of herself she had long shut away.

However, Chan is dealing with struggles of his own. He lives with hearing loss and has gaps in his memory due to a past accident. As pieces of his past slowly come back, an unexpected connection between him and Ha Ran’s tragedy comes to light, forcing both of them to face difficult truths.

If you’ve been missing him after “In Your Radiant Season,” here are a few dramas that will definitely fill that void.

“Love All Play”

“Love All Play”

This sports romance K-drama is set in the competitive world of professional badminton. It centers on Park Tae Yang (Park Ju Hyun), a once-promising player who returns to the sport after being away for three years due to a controversy linked to bribery rumors. Her comeback is far from easy, as she struggles with criticism from others while also dealing with guilt and emotional scars from her past.

At her new team, Yunis, she meets Park Tae Joon (Chae Jong Hyeop), a talented but easygoing player who sees badminton more as a job than a passion. Unlike Tae Yang, he isn’t chasing big dreams and prefers a steady, uncomplicated life. However, spending time with her slowly changes his outlook, helping him rediscover his drive and love for the sport.

As they begin playing mixed doubles together, their partnership grows stronger, both on and off the court. What starts as teamwork gradually turns into a heartfelt romance built on trust, support, and understanding. Alongside the sports drama, the story also explores deeper themes like personal struggles, past mistakes, pressure, and healing, as both characters learn to face their past and move forward.

“Unlock My Boss”

This K-drama follows Kim Seon Joo (Park Sung Woong), a brilliant but tough CEO of a tech company called Silver Lining. He suddenly vanishes under mysterious circumstances, and in an unexpected twist, his consciousness ends up trapped inside a smartphone. The story takes a turn when Park In Seong (Chae Jong Hyeop), an unemployed man with dreams of becoming an actor, discovers the phone while hiking. To his shock, the device starts speaking and claims to be the missing CEO. Wanting to return to his normal life and his young daughter, Seon Joo persuades In Seong to take his place as the company’s acting CEO, promising him a generous reward.

Thrown into a world he knows nothing about, In Seong uses his acting skills to survive in the corporate environment. With the help of Jung Se Yeon (Seo Eun Soo), the CEO’s smart and composed secretary, he begins to manage office challenges while secretly trying to uncover the truth behind Seon Joo’s disappearance.

As they dig deeper, they encounter hidden threats, power struggles, and surprising allies. The drama keeps a balance between humor and suspense as the trio works together to solve the mystery, protect the company, and find a way to reunite Seon Joo with his real life, especially for the sake of his daughter waiting for him.

“Castaway Diva” centers on Seo Mok Ha (Park Eun Bin), a talented and determined young girl with a powerful singing voice who dreams of becoming a star. In 2008, while trying to escape her abusive father and reach Seoul for an audition, a tragic accident leaves her stranded on a deserted island. Despite the harsh conditions, she survives alone for 15 years, holding onto her passion for music and the hope of a better future until she is finally rescued in 2023.

Now in her thirties, Mok Ha returns to a world that has completely moved on without her. Everything feels unfamiliar, and adjusting to modern life is not easy. She is taken in by two brothers; Kang Woo Hak (Cha Hak Yeon), a reporter, and Kang Bo Geol (Chae Jong Hyeop), a reserved producer who shares a mysterious past connection with her. With their support and that of their family, Mok Ha slowly begins to rebuild her life, even as she struggles to find her place again.

Her journey takes a meaningful turn when she meets her idol, Yoon Ran Joo (Kim Hyo Jin), a once-famous singer whose career has faded. Their relationship becomes central to the story, as Mok Ha’s unwavering spirit inspires Ran Joo to regain her confidence, while Ran Joo encourages Mok Ha to chase the dream she never gave up on.

At the center of the story is Lee Hong Ju (Kim So Hyun), now working as an animation producer. After a painful breakup in her youth, she has become cautious and no longer believes in love. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Kang Hu Young (Chae Jong Hyeop). Now a successful financial planner who has returned from the United States, Hu Young finds old feelings resurfacing when he sees her.

Complications arise when Hong Ju’s first love, Bang Jun Ho (Yoon Ji On), re-enters her life. His return forces her to face unresolved emotions from the past. Alongside this, her best friend Kim Hye Ji (Kim Da Som), brings lightness and support as Hong Ju navigates these changes. With just eight episodes, the drama keeps things simple and heartfelt, focusing on healing, personal growth, and the possibility of falling in love again.

“The Witch’s Diner”

“The Witch’s Diner” follows Jung Jin (Nam Ji Hyun), a woman whose life begins to fall apart after she loses her job, her relationship, and her savings following a failed restaurant venture. At her lowest point, she crosses paths with Jo Hee Ra (Song Ji Hyo), a mysterious woman who turns out to be a witch. Hee Ra takes over Jin’s restaurant and transforms it into a strange diner where customers can have their deepest wishes fulfilled. But nothing comes for free.

Instead of money, Hee Ra demands something personal in return, such as a memory, a physical ability, or even something more abstract. Working at the diner is Lee Gil Yong (Chae Jong Hyeop), a kind-hearted high school student who once had a promising future as an athlete before an injury ended his dreams. He takes up a part-time job there, partly to support Jin and stay close to her.

As Jin becomes more involved in the diner, she begins to witness the true cost of these wishes. While people get what they desire, the consequences are often painful and unexpected. This makes her question whether what they are doing is right, especially as she grows closer to Hee Ra and starts uncovering their deeper connection. Each episode introduces new customers with different desires: love, success, revenge but their stories highlight how shortcuts to happiness can come with serious consequences.

This Is Fire Season 9 is almost here, and the competition in Grandmaster Chef Jojo’s kitchen has never been more demanding. Eight new OnlyFans creators will have their timing, precision, and composure tested at every turn. Only one will face off against season 8’s Gal Ritchie. What are the This Is Fire Season 9 contestants up against? Keep reading to see what’s on the menu.

S9E1 — Sweet & Spicy Korean Fried Chicken Bao

Kylie Rocket vs. Girthmaster

Season 9 opens with a bold showdown between Kylie Rocket and Girthmaster as they take on sweet and spicy Korean fried chicken bao. With crispy chicken, pillowy bao, and sauce that must complement rather than overwhelm, this precision-driven challenge sets the tone for the rest of the season.

Perfecting fried chicken under pressure is no easy task. Oil temperature, batter consistency, and timing all play a critical role. Even a small imbalance can throw off the entire dish.

S9E2 — Signature Ramen

Salome Munoz vs. Willow Harper

Salome Munoz and Willow Harper face off in a signature ramen challenge that places technique and attention to detail front and center. Ramen is a deceptively complex dish in which broth depth, seasoning balance, and texture must work in harmony.

Every element is under the microscope, from noodle consistency to the richness of the broth. Small mistakes are difficult to hide, especially from Chef Jojo.

S9E3 — Cacio e Pepe with Bucatini

Lela Star vs. Natalia Starr

Cacio e pepe with bucatini brings a deceptively simple challenge to the floor as Lela Star and Natalia Starr go head-to-head with one of Italian cuisine’s most unforgiving classics. With just a handful of ingredients, each component is on display, and every decision, from pasta water to cheese integration, matters.

This is a dish that demands restraint and control, rewarding technique over flashy additions. When simplicity is the name of the game, execution is everything.

S9E4 — Berry Ricotta Pancakes and Bratwurst

Sinatra Monroe vs. Haley Reed

Berry ricotta pancakes and bratwurst offer a challenge built on contrast for Sinatra Monroe and Haley Reed. To succeed, they’ll have to juggle two very distinct elements on a single plate. Light, delicate pancakes must land in harmony with rich, savory bratwurst.

Managing flavor, texture, and plating under pressure makes this a battle of both creativity and composure.

The Road to the Grand Championship

After the first four challenges, This Is Fire gets even more demanding, with only a handful of contestants still in the mix. As the competition moves to the semifinals and season 9 finale, the dishes grow more ambitious while the margin of error shrinks.

With reigning Grand Champion Gal Ritchie ready to face whoever wins season 9, the final challenge will definitely be a scorcher.
