“The Second Signal” Reportedly Sets November Premiere Date + tvN Responds
The production team behind the highly anticipated second season of “Signal” has responded to reports regarding the drama’s premiere schedule.
On June 30, MyDaily reported that “The Second Signal” has been slated to premiere on November 30 as tvN’s new Monday-Tuesday drama. According to the report, the eight-episode series will run through December 22, with the production team currently preparing for its release. The report also claimed that the drama will air without re-editing lead actor Cho Jin Woong’s scenes.
In response to the report, tvN stated, “Nothing has been finalized.”
“The Second Signal” is the long-awaited sequel to the hit drama “Signal,” arriving 10 years after the original series. The drama was initially scheduled to premiere this month as part of tvN’s 20th anniversary lineup. However, its release was indefinitely postponed after lead actor Cho Jin Woong retired from the entertainment industry last December following revelations about a juvenile criminal record from his school days.

MBC’s upcoming daily drama “Family Register” has released a new teaser!
“Family Register” tells the story of a child who is branded from birth as the person responsible for destroying a family and a woman who fights against society’s prejudice and a cruel fate to reclaim her life.
The newly released trailer opens with Na Se Ri (Han Go Eun), dressed in a glamorous gown, playing the cello with a sorrowful facial expression as she sheds tears. It then gradually reveals the chain of tragic events that tore a family apart due to the misguided choices made by Na Se Ri and Cha Min Ki (Jeon No Min).
Cha Min Ki’s second son Cha Seung Woo (Jeon Seung Bin) erupts in anger, saying, “I never even got to play a single game of soccer like everyone else. What was so great about having a father anyway?” His older brother Cha Seung Hyun (Seo Do Young) also lashes out, saying, “The father my younger brother longed for, the husband our mother lost—you and your mother took him away.” Their words vividly reveal the deep wounds left behind by a twisted love. In one scene, Na Ji Ni (Park Se Young), dressed in mourning clothes, piques curiosity with the cryptic remark, “Maybe I’m the only one who feels this strange sense of kinship.”
The teaser also gives a glimpse of the family’s tragic past. In front of their two sons, Cha Min Ki hands divorce papers to his wife Noh Young Joo (Lim Ji Eun), who angrily tears them to pieces. In one scene, Noh Young Joo storms into Na Se Ri and Cha Min Ki’s new home and declares, “I’ll make sure your child spends the rest of their lives experiencing exactly what it means to have parents who had an affair,” foreshadowing her relentless revenge.
In the present day, Na Se Ri continues to justify her past choices. In one scene, she is heard insisting, “Nobody likes having their love interfered with.” Her obsessive mindset hints that the conflict is far from over. The teaser ends with Na Ji Ni’s heartbreaking words, “Don’t save me. I don’t want to live.”

BTS Sets UK Record As “SWIM” Becomes Their 13th Single To Be Certified BRIT Silver
BTS’s “SWIM” has gone silver in the United Kingdom!
The British Phonographic Industry (BPI) has officially awarded BTS’s latest title track “SWIM” a silver BRIT certification, making it their 13th song to achieve the feat.
BTS is now the first Korean artist ever to have 13 different singles certified silver in the United Kingdom. The group has previously gone silver with their hits “Boy With Luv,” “Dynamite,” “MIC Drop,” “DNA,” “Fake Love,” “Butter,” “My Universe,” “IDOL,” “Blood Sweat & Tears,” “ON,” “Permission to Dance,” and “Make It Right.”
According to the BPI’s certification thresholds, singles are certified silver at 200,000 units sold, while albums are certified silver at 60,000 units sold.

WOODZ Sets Record On Melon Chart For Longest Run In Top 10
WOODZ (Cho Seung Youn) continues his record-breaking run on Melon’s Top 100!
Last week, WOODZ’s beloved hit “Drowning” reached an impressive milestone on the main chart for Melon, Korea’s largest music streaming service. “Drowning” became the first song ever to spend 70 consecutive weeks in the top 10 of Melon’s Top 100 chart.
As of May 19, “Drowning” has extended that record by spending 71 consecutive weeks in the top 10.
Originally released as a B-side in 2023, “Drowning” went viral in October 2024 after WOODZ performed the song during an “Immortal Songs” Armed Forces Day special while serving in the military. The song’s sudden surge in popularity propelled it to the top of the Korean music charts, and it ultimately ranked No. 1 on the 2025 year-end charts for Melon, Genie, and Circle Chart. The hit song also belatedly earned WOODZ his first music show win on a public broadcast network, claiming two separate wins on SBS’s “Inkigayo.”
Before “Drowning,” the previous records for the most consecutive weeks in the top 10 of Melon’s Top 100 belonged to NewJeans’ “Hype Boy” (49 weeks) and BTS’s “Dynamite” (36 weeks).
Park Bo Gum Sets Sights On A Legendary Sword In First Posters For “The Sword: Rebirth Of The Red Wolf”
Park Bo Gum has made a striking transformation!
On May 7, “The Sword: Rebirth of the Red Wolf” unveiled new teaser posters starring Park Bo Gum.
“The Sword: Rebirth of the Red Wolf” is a historical action film set shortly after the fall of Goguryeo. It follows a man who loses his memory and becomes a slave before entering a tournament for a legendary sword. Director Kim Han Min of the film “War of the Arrows” will take the helm.
With the project slated to air via theaters in 2027, the newly released teaser posters capture Park Bo Gum’s powerful transformation into protagonist Chil Seong. After the fall of Goguryeo, Chil Seong lived as a slave while having forgotten his past. The poster captures the moment of awakening as he gradually realizes his true identity though a battle with the fates of 16 northern tribes on the line. The text “Rebirth of the Red Wolf” previews the grand narrative as well as the thrilling and cathartic action to come.
The upcoming film will take place in the year 668 in Xiangping, combining imagination and fiction with historical background to depict a story about a legendary sword of the north becoming a source of hope in a period of dark times. In addition to Park Bo Gum, the film additionally features a star-studded cast including Joo Won, Jung Jae Young, Lee Sun Bin, Vietnamese star Trấn Thành, and more, raising anticipation for the upcoming film.

TWICE Sets Attendance Record For K-Pop Girl Groups With North American Tour
TWICE has made K-pop history with the North American leg of their ongoing “THIS IS FOR” world tour!
On April 18, TWICE successfully wrapped up their “THIS IS FOR” tour of North America, which included 35 shows in 20 different cities across the continent. Although the group was originally scheduled to perform just 22 shows in North America, a significant number of shows were added due to demand.
Over the course of their tour, TWICE drew approximately 550,000 concertgoers in North America, setting a new record for the highest North American attendance ever achieved by a K-pop girl group.
After breaking records in North America, TWICE will next be making history in Japan, where they will become the first foreign artist ever to hold a concert of their own at the Japan National Stadium in Tokyo. The group will be performing three shows at the Japan National Stadium starting on April 25.
