SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu, Seungkwan, And Dino Announce Military Enlistment Dates

SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu, Seungkwan, and Dino will soon be enlisting in the military!

On August 10, News1 reported that Seungkwan applied and was accepted to be in the military band and that he will enlist this year.

Following reports, SEVENTEEN’s agency PLEDIS Entertainment released an official statement announcing that Seungkwan and Dino will enlist in the army band on October 26, while Mingyu will begin his service on September 10.

Hello.
This is PLEDIS Entertainment.

We would like to inform you of SEVENTEEN members Mingyu, Seungkwan, and Dino’s upcoming military service.

Seungkwan and Dino are scheduled to enlist as members of the military band in the Army on October 26. They will participate in all official activities prior to their enlistment. As numerous enlistees and their families will be present at the enlistment ceremony, we respectfully request that you refrain from visiting the site in person on the day of their enlistment.

Mingyu will begin his military service on September 10. He will also participate in all official activities prior to the start of his service. There will be no official event on the day his service begins, or on the day he subsequently reports to the training center. We respectfully request that you refrain from visiting the place of his alternative service.

Once Mingyu, Seungkwan, and Dino begin their military service, they will be unable to participate in SEVENTEEN activities. However, they will continue to connect with CARAT through a variety of content prepared in advance. Please send your messages of farewell and support for the members on Weverse.

SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan, Ko Kyung Pyo, And More Confirmed For New Season Of “The Great Escape”

“The Great Escape” is officially returning with a brand-new season!

On August 5, CJ ENM announced that “The Great Escape” will return with a new season in the second half of 2026.

“The Great Escape” is an adventure variety show where the cast works together to solve elaborate escape room challenges.

Since premiering on tvN in 2018, the show has aired four seasons through 2021, establishing itself as one of Korea’s signature adventure variety programs. Last year, it continued its legacy with the TVING original “The Great Escape: The Story,” which expanded the show’s scale and storytelling.

The new season will feature Kim Jong Min, Kim Dong Hyun, SUPER JUNIOR’s Shindong, Yoo Byung Jae, Ko Kyung Pyo, and SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan, who joins the cast as its newest member.

Meanwhile, original cast member Kang Ho Dong has chosen to pass the baton to his fellow cast members, cheering them on from the sidelines. He said, “Every moment on ‘The Great Escape’ has brought me great joy and happiness. I believe my fellow cast members and juniors, who have even greater imagination and wisdom than I do, will do their very best to make this season a success. And finally, I’d like to leave them with one piece of advice: ‘No matter where you are, there’s always a clue.’”

The new season of “The Great Escape” will premiere on TVING in the second half of 2026.
